Watching Worst Cooks in America and really surprised at how well Carla and Anne work together and how she is genuinely encouraging and a great mentor to her team. I feel slightly bad for saying this but I can't wait for Cameron to go home because he irks. I was happy for him that he did a good job last night because he has been circling the drain for weeks.

He announced it (pushed by Valerie) on Kids Baking a couple of weeks ago. Seeing the realized baby, I forget that these shows tape so far in advance and it was jarring.
I'm really happy for him and his wife.

Spring Baking Championship starts tonight! Phooey! I loved being home on Monday nights to watch all these shows, but since Covid last year, I have to work alternating nights so I don't get to see it.

Awe Duff’s baby is cute.
The Spring Baking show hasn’t started yet. We have one more Kids Baking Championship to see next week than the Spring one starts.
The Chocolate one did start this week after the Kids one though.

I watched the premiere of Spring Baking Championship on Sunday nicksmom. Check with your OnDemand, they should have it. If the first show is any indication of how the season is going to go we are in for a treat. Loving the diversity of the contestants and the challenges so far. In this episode for the main heat they had to make a cake with a type of milk (almond, coconut, goat, raw, etc) and design it with a happy, dancing cow. The extra part was a cowbell had to appear somewhere on the cake. The pure originality and fun of the resulting cakes was a joy to watch. I like Ali as a host (I believe he and Clifton Kelly take turns hosting) and the lady from the Delicious Miss Brown show is filling in for Lorraine as a judge as she is still in London due to quarantine. No favorites yet but overall, it looks like it is going to be a good season.

^ Depends if she is in Canada. Doesn’t start till March 8th here. And I think she is based on her referring to Chocolate Showdown starting.

Worst Cooks in America: Of course Ann dragged Cameron all the way to the end. :/ Fortunately, Justice prevailed and Carla's cook won! She's really a marvelous co-host for this show; you can really tell she's proud of all of her cooks and encourages them, as she did last night when it looked like her cook messed up the meat portion of the meal. So congrats! And if I see Cameron on my TV again, it will be a day too soon.

There were some really pretty desserts on SBC last night. I still haven't picked a favorite out of the group...
I didn't catch the Easter Basket Challenge that was on afterwards, was it any good? I've sort of lost my love for the "Wars" kind of shows where they make huge ridiculous things that nobody will ever try at home. I'd rather see the kind of baking you might do at home over a five foot tall rabbit made out of wire, rice krispie treats, and five gallons of icing.

I watched the Easter Basket Challenge and it was fun, except for the ending. The contestants had to bite into these chocolate easter eggs, and the filling inside determined whether or not they stayed in the competition; the loser had a different colored filling. The losing contestant was kinda pissed as well, you could tell. This is the second time I've seen this sort of thing happen (the first being the new Design Star where the bottom 3 went back to their "design pods" and the person locked out of their space was the person going home) and it seems like the worst thing you could do to a person. I would rather have someone just tell me I'm going home than do something like this and have the camera catch my expression as I realize I've won the booby prize.

Tournament of Champions: Season Two begins tonight and I'm already annoyed by the inclusion of Brooke. Besides the fact that I don't care for her that much she won last year. Give someone else a chance to win!

I agree, having Brooke in Tournament of Champions just robs someone of a spot. She already won, let someone else have a go at it.
Last night's premiere was pretty good and I'm happy with Nyesha winning, she's quite likable and seems very talented. I was especially glad to see that Phillip guy be eliminated from the get-go, he's always annoyed me a lot whenever he pops by any Food Network competition, just has this haughty arrogance to him that I find highly off-putting.

I'm glad Nyesha is advancing -- she got robbed on Top Chef in her season.

Me, too. I just hate seeing the loud Christopher in the promo. Is he going to be on again? Glad my fave- Justin- is back at stove side to take notes.

I'm lowkey rooting for Nyesha; she's such a breath of fresh air and she's talented. I also liked the guy who made the Korean fried chicken and was sad he and Nyesha were against each other as I would have liked for him to advance as well.

I am baffled and very annoyed about the results of last night's Tournament of Champions. How in the blazes did Tiffani win over Elizabeth? How is a little too much kimchi on the plate worse than undercooked meat? Utterly ridiculous!

How is a little too much kimchi on the plate worse than undercooked meat? Utterly ridiculous! I agree. I watched it while playing a game because I figured Tiffani was going to get the win. It felt manufactured to me from the beginning. I’d like it if they used more new chefs that weren’t a part of the Food Network club. IJS I’m probably wrong but it’s how I felt.

I was rooting for Bobby the Butcher because I've loved his appearances on GGG but alas, it was not to be. And count me as another person who can't figure out how Tiffani got in with undercooked meat.
Spring Baking Championship: This was the team bake episode. I was really glad that Chiantae and Jahmal (who were teamed together) had a really good bake this week, even winning the first round! Keya continues to be my favorite, along with Derek; I think those two will be part of the final three.

Yay, Darnell!
Welp. I was not a fan of Brooke's and after tonight I'm really not a fan.

That's two episodes in a row that a chef wins somehow despite having had problems with the cooking of their protein, as in the main component of their dish, whereas the other competitor's protein is perfectly cooked. Once is weird, two is suspect, and two is more than enough for me to lose interest and quit watching.

Spring Baking Champinship: man, poor Jahmal just had a really bad day in the kitchen. Sorry to see him go. I'm just glad they didn't play that annoying Baby Shark music.

Tournament of Champions:
Yay Darnell x2 for knocking Tiffany out of the game.
Hurrah for Maneet!
Wow at a tie between Antonia and Jet Tila, that was amazing! They have to cook again next week to break the tie and then the Finals.
