In the previews are they revealing that poor Paige is pregnant? No. But it relates to a spoiler {Spoiler} Chris’s ex fiancé is pregnant 😳
So that tells you how recently they were together before this from finding out when she was pregnant {Spoiler} Given what a sex fiend Chris is it's no surprise

I find Chris disgusting in every possible way but, IMO, 'simplychanse's' story doesn't pass the smell test.

OMG, you guys, Chris SUUUUUCKS. IMO, the show should give Paige the money to file for divorce. They owe it to her. Big time. He treats Paige like that and HE'S the victim!? I definitely would NOT be going on that honeymoon. Haley doesn't have it much better than Paige, really. I mean, it doesn't seem like Jacob can even have an adult conversation. All he can do is talk about his house and his yard or his diet and exercise regimen. Who cares!? He may be 38, but he's got the maturity level of a 14 year old boy. Who eats 2 pounds of red meat in one sitting? While the other couples were actually having substantive conversations, there's Jacob showing Haley his assortment of t-shirts and Chris is crying about how he's not attracted to Paige

Chris makes me want to wash my eyes out with soap. He’s so sleazy! He’s not attracted to Paige but he’s taking advantage of the free sex. He gets uglier by the minute.

Some of my thoughts...
Chris is scum! His being MIA for so long and worrying Paige was rude. To consummate their marriage and repeat in the morning was awful, knowing he wasn't attracted to her. I don't buy his later explanation that he felt by being intimate, maybe the attraction would grow. I'm sure he was embarrassed that Paige over shared with his parents, but his reaction was over the top. His crying made me think he was a little boy. Save the tears for real tragedy, kiddo. I watched Unfiltered after the episode and they showed he and Paige's photo session. I noticed how very frightened he looked. I think all that bravado hides a very insecure man/boy. Had to laugh at Paige saying they had "a moment." Yeah, it probably lasted all of a moment. Chris sucks!
Virginia & Erik- Her boozing is getting pretty old. Is she a functional alcoholic? I was concerned when she told Mamma Lake (or was it in an interview?) that drinking was always going to be a part of her life. Another participant who isn't sure about children. Good job, experts! 👏
Brianna and Vincent- getting along well. Hope his grandma will be ok
Clara and Ryan- I like them a lot. Ryan is so low key and articulate. Didn't realize his folks were ministers. Again they match with someone who is not religious. Clara is super attracted to her husband but I can't get a read on whether it is mutual.
Haley and Jacob- Oh dear, what a mismatch! Jacob looks just like his dad. His conversation with Haley's parents was all kinds of awkward. He doesn't seem like a bad guy but they are not vibing at all. She's not attracted to him and he's so low energy that it doesn't help. He doesn't fill up the space with nervous chatter like Virginia. On Unfiltered he's still low key, but comes across as kind and does have a bit of a personality and is a bit witty, but it's a dry humor.

I thought Jacob came across much better on Unfiltered, too, and I liked his outfit.
Dr. Pepper looked so sad and pained while listening to Paige.
Chris is just the worst!

Just no words for Chris ....But why is she staying. Later we see her saying they are still having sex when she is talking to Pastor Cal. At first I thought his father was saying the right thing than he agreed with Chris that maybe he could fall in love with her...well than you don’t have sex with her, you get to know her.
Not sure why they put Clara with Ryan when religion is very important to him. The ring box is strange to me but I guess people take their rings off before bed? Mine really doesn’t come off, maybe to put lotion on but definitely not after my husband put it on my finger.
Poor Jacob , he really can’t make conversation, but I did hear he was fine on Unflitered. Hailey really did do much talking or joking with him to direct the conversion either.
Vincent and Bri are still my favourite, that it was strange his temper came up with his family and Vincent himself.
Erik has his hands full with Virginia . She really seems to be into him . The drinking is crazy with her though. In previews it looks like he is the jealous type , she can’t have guy friends or did I hear that wrong. Him being away 4 days at a time will let her party without him.

Him being away 4 days at a time will let her party without him. Agreed. Remember when Woody's mother (?) told Amani about his temper? And then...the temper never materialized. I don't remember which member of Vincent's family talked about his temper, but if it was a sister, well, that's totally different. Sibling fighting doesn't have anything to do with romantic relationship behavior, IMO. Either way, I'm always sort of horrified at what some family members reveal to the new spouses.
I keep hoping that Virginia is drinking because she's nervous and that she'll calm down eventually and not feel the need to drink ALL the time. Erik seems super eager to make the marriage work, but if she's a functional alcoholic (IF), he shouldn't have to deal with that.
I want to believe there's more to Jacob, but I'm not seeing it yet. He just seems like a big man-child. There's just NO depth there at all. I mean, how many times can he talk about his steak and his backyard?
I really felt for Paige and Haley this week. The other three couples seemed to be talking about REAL things and trying to get to know each other, but the other two couples were a mess.

What an episode!
Briana and Vincent are adorable and they clearly are very smitten with one another. I also loved Brianas talk with Paige. Vincent clearly was told to talk to Chris and he wasn’t having that.
Clara and Ryan seem well matched on some aspects but religion and how to raise kids seems like it could be a deal breaker.
Erik and Virginia - they seem to like each other a lot too. Erik is clearly drinking more with Virginia around. They were drunk in that last scene with all the couples lol. I think him being gone will work for her lifestyle.
Haley and Jacob- just so poorly matched. He just seems like he has such set interests and she wasn’t even alive in the 80s to know what he’s referencing 😂 at some points they seem cute when they sit together but i think she will lose interest once they get back home
Chris and Paige- what the hell were the experts thinking?! I guess they saw Paige would accept all his flaws because god said this was her path. When he dragged her to the bathroom and made her take off her mic- that was very alarming. Then the way he was manipulating her at dinner and told her she was beautiful and gave her a rose from the table....ugh. But then she seemed to like that. Even though the experts clearly don’t know what they are doing I hope they step in soon. And in the previews he says he still loves his ex and thought about getting back together?! How many more red flags does Paige need to run?

I really don't think "it's in God's plans" for her to deal with emotional abuse

I wonder how much influence the "experts" have over the show's editing/plot development? Are they comfortable showing how completely incompetent they are? ESPECIALLY about Chris!!!!

Totally agree. Not so sure I feel sorry for Paige anymore, she should have walked. I really don't think "it's in God's plans" for her to deal with emotional abuse I still do feel sorry for Paige. It seems like she's just not sure what to do. She looked SO uncomfortable at that get together with the other couples, especially when they talked about how well they were all getting along and how happy they are.
I loved when Erik and Virginia showed up drunk-ish and asked the questions that everyone else wanted to know. Chris deserves to be put on the spot. He's a creep. The fact that he was upset that everyone was offering their support to Paige and he was upset that they weren't voicing support for him shows how clueless he is. He dumps all this crap on Paige and then asks about having children. Dude. Read the room. Forget ALL the other crap husbands on this series: Chris wins the top prize!
If anyone is owed a "Second Chances" season, it's Paige.
I think Erik and Virginia might work because he seems really willing to compromise. Maybe he thinks women and men can't be friends, but if he meets her guy friends, maybe he'll change his mind. They both seem really smitten AND eager to make room for each other in their lives.
Although they're editing it to seem like Ryan and Clara are a mismatch in the religion area, I don't think it's as bad as they're making it seem. It sounds like Clara had some negative experiences growing up in religion, but maybe if she spends time with Ryan and his family and sees their religious life, she'll warm up to it. I really like how open and honest they are in their conversations. I think that bodes well for their relationship in the long term.
UGH. Jacob. I can't even with him. Haley's trying to make the best of it, but their relationship still seems so surface level.
I LOOOOVE Briana and Vincent! They're my favorite of the season. They just seem so perfectly matched.

This show is one of my guilty pleasures, I usually have a few couples each season that I cheer on. Not this season. Especially compared to last season in New Orleans where I really liked the couples that stayed together.
I don't actually like any of the guys. There seems to be a strong "ole timey" values streak with each. I'm not sure I want to say misogynistic but it's in the ballpark. Erik, Chris and Jacob flat out give me the creeps. Vincent and Ryan are alright I suppose but still have weird vibes. Maybe they'll grow on me. Erik...I've had women friends my entire life. Friends that I've had since highschool and my early 20's. There are no underlying passions, we're just really good, close friends that I've never considered dropping for a new relationship. Men and women friendship bonds can be as close as guy/guy or women/women friendship bonds.
Of the women...I like Haley and Briana. On the fence about Victoria and Clara. I've dated "Victoria's" and kinda get her but a little would go a long way. Paige...seems like her faith is over-ruling her good sense. I hope she looks back and sees how lucky she was that Chris brought so much baggage so that she can end it and move on quick. I want to like her but as soon as Chris gives her a faith based response it's almost like she's programmed to react in kind.
Maybe I'm being too harsh on the cast but I'd like to know how you guys view them.

I'd throw Chris to the curb so fast. SMH. I don't get Paige. She's in some faith based fairytale. Run Paige run. Chris uses scripture to manipulate Paige. Can't stand him. His behavior with the others was a huge red flag.
These couples are different.

Chris knows how to manipulate Paige. He can get away with anything as long as he says God. He will keep tagging her as long as he can.
Did Victoria say she likes to drink with her friends every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday? I feel for Victoria’s liver!
There are some ideals that I side eyed .... being too bossy - maybe just assertive and confident! I wish she had stuck up for herself. You don’t talk to my wife like that.....um, I think your wife could take care of herself and a few of her friends if push came to shove. 😀
I was shocked to find that Jacob was the best communicator last night. His wife has definitely lost that lovin feeling, but refuses to say it.

All the couples had problems last night.
Did Chris say to Paige he loves the baby mama. Run girl run. Worried about his shoes and the dog too. He does seem to be an animal lover either.
What the heck is with Hailey, at first she was telling the camera she was into her husband and now she doesn’t. I really don’t mind Jacob, she slept with him but she won’t hold his hands. I guess she wrote it off as being drunk.
Speaking of drunk Erik was really drunk when talking to the guys. I hope he is right and doesn’t follow her into drinking everyday. She is looking rough when she drinks.
Clara falling in love fast and Ryan not. She is going to push him away.
Bri and Vincent....my Husband is like that. Does stuff at his own pace used to drive me crazy...lol we were never late and really didn’t change things so I mellowed .
Next week looks like a train wreck to for some couples.

What a dumpster fire! Chris needs to GO and the experts need to a) apologize to her and b) pay for the divorce. I definitely agree that Clara and Virginia should have kept their mouths shut. At the most, they could have said that they are there to support Paige. They did not need to say that THEY would have left Chris immediately. That's not going to make anything better. Of course, MANY of us feel the same way, but you don't need to say that. Chris is an a-hole. Erik and Virginia come late to dinner again and then, without reading the room, launch into another attack. I'm not saying I disagree with Erik per se, but good grief. Not necessary and not helpful. Plus does anyone think Mr. Spaghetti Arms is going to win a fight against Chris? Please. It all felt very "conservative white man who feels entitled to say whatever he wants, regardless of the problems it will cause." Like I said, I don't disagree with Erik (although I do think Virginia can speak for herself), but he did NOTHING to help that situation. It seems like Virginia's drinking is rubbing off on Erik. He looked loaded through most of this episode. Chris is definitely coming off like an abusive spouse. The whole, "Don't speak to my wife" and "You're not her friend." stuff was very sketchy. Him thinking merely telling Paige he's impregnated another woman is evidence that he manned up is laughable. Paige needs to get out. Now. This isn't going to improve. So, Haley and Jacob had drunk sex and now Haley's really not into Jacob. How bad was it? He's not my cup of tea, but she's being a jerk. I found myself feeling sorry for him. I get the feeling that we're getting some manipulative editing with Ryan and Clara. They just love using the dramatic music and then lingering on a shot of him looking annoyed or non-plussed. They did it with the religion issue and then again last night when they were talking in bed. I think they're more solid than the editing makes it seem. Briana and Vincent seem to be doing pretty well. Even when they have disagreements, they are able to work things out.

Paige should definitely run. I still can't believe Chris even got on the show. Yeah Virginia needs to realize there's more to life, and health, than drinking! I forget what it was she said last night, maybe something about her friends and I just said to myself, "you're married now!" Looks like Erik hits it on the head in the next episode when he said she acts like it's a relationship and not a marriage. I do feel bad for Jacob but he's kind of goofy, not really a match for Hailey. Vince and Bri seem to be working out. Clara and Ryan, eh.

Aww, congrats to Greg and Deonna. They both seem very sweet.
It's hard to believe Chris passed any kind of background test with them. He put up red flags to me immediately. He not only seems like a jerk in his views, but her also seems very controlling, telling Paige what she could and couldn't talk to his family about.

Well at least this episode wasn’t so centered around Chris.
Ryan and Clara seem to be doing the best this week. But it does look like issues ahead as her needs are not being met she says. I liked how pastor Cal explained love to Ryan.
Erik and Virginia are finally out of the honeymoon bubble and her partying ways may need to come to an end. I don’t think texting your spouse you made it some where is controlling. I also don’t think she should be sleeping on her guy friends couches now that she’s married. Things have to change.
Briana’s bossy ways are certainly irritating Vincent- but he should not have left after their argument. He needed to explain what was bothering him since she said she didn’t know. Then hopefully she can tone down the sarcasm until he is more comfortable with it.
Haley is reminding me of Molly with Jon. Now that Jake has accused her of cheating she is going to use that as her excuse for not feeling it with him. When in reality she hasn’t liked him this whole time. The 80s references are wayyyy too much. He needed an older version of Amelia to get his quirks. Then their dogs not getting along is just another big issue for her too. If Chris didn’t have so much drama this would definitely be the worst couple.
Paige and Chris continue to have their drama. He doesn’t come back from the honeymoon and he tells her he wants a divorce. She tells Pastor Cal all the drama and then of course once Cal leaves Chris creepily whispers to Paige he’s afraid of falling in love with her. I don’t understand how he’s getting away with not having their conversations filmed. She’s being manipulated and it’s so sad to watch. When Cal asked if she wanted a divorce she never firmly said yes. Just that he didn’t want her so I guess they would have to. And now the ex fiancé is on next week?! She was clearly in on this so she could get her check too. Find Paige’s backup choice and get them together. She needs a do-over.
