They're back! Last night I watched the 3rd (I think ) episode of the new season. The girls are three and quite a handful . They discovered mold in the house and had to move out for six months. The mold is really bad and was causing health problems for some of the girls. I'm so glad they are back. I missed them!

Are they going to gut and redo the upstairs and find the cause for the mold? I can't believe they would just move out and get another house but I did read on the website that addition a lot of the houses had mold problems.

Nennie, they are in a 6 month rental while their house is gutted. A company came in and cleaned up the existing mold which gave them some time to find a house big enough for all of them, but the house needed to be gutted to remove the mold behind the walls. If the builder had mold in multiple houses I expect lawsuits will be fast and furious! The mold spore count in several of the rooms was beyond horrible. And, there were several different kinds of mold. In one of the kids rooms it was black mold.

I saw the one where the company came in and cleaned up the mold but missed this weeks as to what they were going to do. I am glad they are gutting it. I wonder if their insurance will cover this problem. Hopefully they had a home warranty policy. I am surprised they didn't catch the mold before now. It was everywhere and very visible.

Apparently they are covered for the mold remediation and also for temporary housing. Unfortunately, they were not able to find a rental house that stayed within the insurance budget so some of that is out of pocket for them. Even worse is that the kids doctor can't give them any solid information on possible long term health effects. She said there has not been enough research on the subject. Scary stuff!!!

Quick question; did they temporarily move out while their home is being gutted and cleaned, or are they actually buying a new house and going to try to sell the old one? Because besides being big enough to fit everybody I seriously doubt anyone is going to buy a moldy house.

It was really nice that they brought back some of the girls to visit the old house. At that age they really don't understand what's going on; they only know they have been uprooted. This way, they know that the house is "sick" and they will be back when it gets better.
Hazel looked adorable at the Christmas concert. My heart went out for the little one who stood there and cried.

Dale is my favorite adult on this show. He cracked me up watching the quints alone. "I'm not built to watch five kids at one time. I can barely control my own life, much less five little ones that are psychotic."

Not sure if Mimi still lives in Lake Charles, Louisiana. If she does, her town is on the edge of hurricane Barry approaching Louisiana. Hope she doesn't experience another flooded home.

Did anyone else watch this weeks episode? The Disney cruise? It was a good episode. Adam got a job offer in Dallas, the entire family (all 27?) of them took a Disney Cruise and, it appears Hazels eyes are getting worse.

I think it is the same thing as the beginning but they seemed really bad to me when they were on the cruise. Seems she is struggling to focus or find a place to move her head to focus. That may be some of what has caused her to be a little problematic recently because she was always so sweet.

Poor Hazel. When they were watching the play her dad asked her "Did you see that?" and she answered "No." She really seems to have problems with low-light situations. Disney cruises seem like a lot of fun for everyone. I especially liked the craft area where the kids got to make stuff and was wondering if they also had an area like that for adults.

The cruise did seem like a lot of fun. I was wondering how much extra it cost for all they did. Surely not everyone gets a special princess makeover and meet-and-greet, plus a few other things that looked like perks.
The waterslide looked particularly fun to me.
Eta, because I realized I had more to say!
I was wondering how they'd be able to move to Dallas. They are very close to their family, and at this age they still get a lot of help with the quints. I'm glad they're not moving.

I hope they do remember it "forever". I have my doubts, but they might. I have a few memories from when I was 3, but not that many. I can't imagine going on a big family vacation like that. It does look like they have a ton of fun, but I don't think I could stand my extended family for a whole vacation! I'd probably need to drink - a lot!

The bossy ones would have to stay home. Blayke I am sure will remember but the littles maybe not. I follow Sean Lowe's sisters blog and her girls did the princess dress up thing when they did their cruise.

I really think Adam made the right choice in turning down that job. As a "partner" I'm sure he would have been considered upper management. I don't know anyone in management in the corporate world who usually works 9-5. It's more like 8-6 or 7 or later most days. I suspect that within a few months he would have come to regret his decision.
My oldest son quit his corporate job to work from home and went into business with a friend. They are doing extremely well and he has never regretted it. He loves the time it gives him to spend with his family.

Just out of curiosity I went on the Disney Cruise site and the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique makeovers range anywhere from $200-450 depending on the quality of dress and whether or not you want a tiara. Considering it was 6 kids involved and a TV show they either did it for free advertising or TLC paid for it; notice how the other children in the family didn't get a makeover.

I thought all the girls got a makeover, did they just get the dresses and not a makeover too? I think you're right about it being advertising for Disney. I kind of thought there were several extras that were specifically given to them to show off the cruise and all the extras that can be bought when other people go. Does that make me a cynic?

Even if all 26 family members were comped for the entire trip, Disney received nationwide advertising that would have cost them $$$$$. TV advertising, in general, in a 60-second ad, lets the public know about a product or service, whereas this 1-1/2 hour show let the public see dozens of features that a Disney cruise offers. Disney definitely got their money's worth and the family had a great time altogether they'll never forget.

I did notice that they seemed to have inside staterooms, so all was not Rolls Royce level!

I only saw the quints and Blake get the dresses and a makeover. Danielle's sisters and I think her husband's siblings also have children and they didn't get the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique makeovers. There's also a makeover for little boys as well; they can be a knight or something else. And of course there's a Star Wars makeover for the Star Wars cruises for both children and adults.
