This is the new show with Michael Strahan and Sarah Haines. Except for the opening with Jerry Seinfeld driving them to the studio, it was nothing special, and not even Jerry in a turquoise sports car could make a silk purse out of this. Very disappointing. I could hardly stay focused on their yammering, and it's just way too perky and vacuous. Having the audience so close all around them was distracting, too. I hope the network does some revamping, because I think the hosts are capable of better. If not, get the hook.

I didn't like it either. I kept thinking it was way too similar to "Live, with Kelly and Ryan" except not nearly as good. I like Michael and Sarah well enough --- they're just not very interesting.
I lasted about 15 minutes, and then I was done. (I'll tune in for a good guest interview though, just like I do with most other talk shows.)
PS Speaking of talk shows, there is one fairly new talk show that I really like a lot -- and that's the Meghan Kelly show on NBC. And I was NOT a Meghan Kelly fan, and I don't even know why I tuned in, in the first place. Maybe desperate for something good to watch that day.
Anyway, I was really surprised to find that her show is really good --- it's always about important current issues in the news (not politics though), and I find both Meghan and the subject matter very compelling.
Her show has done very poorly in the ratings though, so I imagine it won't last too much longer (although they did give her this 2nd year) --- and that's a shame cause I think it's one of the best daytime talk shows on the air.

I also found the show vacuous and too perky. They were trying waaayyy too hard. It really did look like a lite version of Kelly and Ryan. They couldn't even properly interview Pharroh even though they both have interview experience. I gave it the full hour. Oh, bittersweet that they had a celebrity chef on and it was Carla Hall whose show, The Chew, was cancelled to make way for this mess.
She did not have a laisses faire attitude while processing a chicken. She jumped all over Sarah and barely gave Michael a pass. That was a weird segment.
Maybe I'll wait a week to give it another try. See if they get their s*** together.

Oh, I do agree that it resembled "Kelly and....." and did not do well in comparison. I gave it five minutes but should have stayed through Carla's segment---that was a shocker that she would be on the show. I was wondering if she would be a semi-regular cooking expert....Was that said???
Boy do I miss THE CHEW!!!

Carla has a new cookbook to sell, but ironic that she was the first chef for a cooking segment.

Is this the show that replaced The Chew? If so, no thank you!

A commercial for this show came on a week or so ago when I was only half paying attention. I literally did a double take because it looked like Michael with Kelly Ripa. Glad to hear the show is sucky. Doesn't surprise me at all. I've never seen the big deal about Michael Strahan. That lisp is so annoying. I can't even listen to him.
The Chew replaced All My Children so I vowed to never watch it....and I never did. Good riddance! An AMC fan never forgets!

I know this isn't the right show, but can someone tell me what Robin Roberts' announcement was the other day on GMA?

Watched it again today because I'm not feeling well, and there's nothing else on at that time. OMG, it's still awful. Sara is so dumbed down on this show from how she was on The View. She gets so loud and shrill in a silly way - I had to hit the mute button until she shut up from whatever she thought was so funny. Why is this on? It's not entertaining, it's not informative, it's hardly even bearable.

I watch Bold & Beautiful and then switch channels to watch GH. I was able to tolerate a few minutes of The Chew, but now I wait until I know it’s safe. 😄

The Chew was fun (love Carla, Michael, and the other host), but this show is absolutely horrible. Does anyone like it?

I don’t know if it had anything to do with the ponytail guy getting charged with harassing women, but somehow I got that impression.

Daphne Oz used to be on the show, too. Maybe GMA Day is just cheaper to produce. It's so awful, it boggles my mind.

I just started watching The Chew back in January and it's always been Carla, Michael, and that guy from What Not To Wear.

It was a shock when they said it was over. Mario had been long gone after his problems and the three worked very well together.....didn't miss D. Oz when she left... and Mario was not on every day even befor his problems.
