I finished it last night! I tried to tell myself I was going to dole it out a fw episodes at a time, but I only lasted two days I'm so sad next season is the last. I wish they'd just keep going. There are SO many more stories to tell!
I finished Too Hot to Handle on Netflix today. OMG, what a sh!tshow. What saved it was the snarky narrator. She's hilarious.

Watching Travel Man with Richard Ayoade on Hulu, and wondering why I've never watched it before? It's wonderful!

I am watching Too Hot To Handle and on third episode. It is crazy. Where do they find these people? Tinder? Is there something worse than Tinder? The thing that saves it for me is the narrator. If there wasn't a voice over mocking them all, it wouldn't be funny, it would just be gross and sad. There's one point where she says something like, "And the girls are talking about their favorite subject: global warming. Just kidding" and they cut to Chloe and Nicole talking about guys' "o-faces." I definitely didn't see the big deal about some of those people. I mean, why is Francesca so gaga over Harry? Weird. I was glad there was at least SOME personal growth over the course of the show. There's no reunion show, so maybe that personal growth didn't last.
Now I'm watching Truth Be Told on Apple TV and it is excellent. The cast is top notch: Octavia Spenser, Aaron Paul, Lizzy Caplan, Brett Cullen, Michael Beach, Mekhi Phifer, Elizabeth Perkins, Anabella Sciorra....so many great actors.

Once again The Librarians on Hulu. That along with NCIS and Great British Baking Show on Netflix are my go to comfort shows.

Once again The Librarians on Hulu. That along with NCIS and Great British Baking Show on Netflix are my go to comfort shows. Same with me. I binged a couple of seasons of Great British Baking Show yesterday, as well as last weekend. It's great comfort noise in the background while I'm working, and good comfort viewing when I'm not distracted.

The new L Word is much more toned down then the original. I hope it comes back for a second season.

I blew through all 6 episodes of season 2 of After Life....and then remembered that there were only 6 episodes and not 8 I love that show so much, but I always want more. This season was even more emotional than the first season. I went through a lot of Kleenex. I started out-right crying in episode 5 and just didn't stop. Anyone who thinks Ricky Gervais is an unfeeling creep has never seen this show. I think this is some of his best acting work too. He just broke my heart.

And it's not all sad stuff, there are plenty of laugh out loud moments - that creepy "therapist" is a trip!

And it's not all sad stuff, there are plenty of laugh out loud moments - that creepy "therapist" is a trip! I just love that kooky band of misfits. The postman taking a bath in Tony's tub in the middle of his route and his unexpected little romance with Roxy. I love how he both makes fun of them and then really respects them as people. I know he doesn't like to do long series, but I hope we get at least one more season. If he doesn't though, he did leave us with a nice little "life goes on" ending.
I looked at the "Here's what's leaving Netflix in May" list and saw Scandal is leaving on May 19th. I literally have not watched the episodes since they first aired, so I'm watching again now. I'm on episode 6 of that mini first season. I forgot how the heat between Olivia and Fitz just radiated off the screen right from the beginning.

Watching season 2 of Work of Art and it is just as crazy now as it was the first time around. The Sucklord, the chick that liked to get naked, the other chick that hated everyone, the deaf Korean guy...it was pure reality TV gold. I was mad when it got cancelled.

I had totally forgotten about that show! Bravo has been going deep into the archive for some marathons these days - Gallery Girls was yesterday. I had forgotten Work of Art existed to be wishing for that one! Those good old days when Project Runway was a hit so Bravo tried to turn EVERY form of expression into a competition show!
ETA - I'm watching the last few episodes of Gallery Girls which I recorded yesterday, and The Sucklord was on one of those! For a couple of years in the early 2000s, he tried really hard to be a Bravo star!

I'm watching it on Youtube. And I forgot, the chick that liked to get naked was on the first season. The chick I thought was her was just a raging [redacted] to one contestant in particular, real high school crap. It's like for the second season the longer people were on the show the meaner they got to certain contestants and she was the little ringleader. Sucklord was harmless in comparison. His work is still popular in certain circles and he was one of the few people who left the show with even more renown than he went in!
I was sad when it got cancelled but word around the campfire said that both Simon de Pury and Jerry Saltz found the whole experience draining and didn't want to do it anymore, and without those two it would have been pointless.

True Blood - I watched all seven seasons over the past two weeks and was reminded how good the show was and then how ridiculous it got. The last season and final episode still pisses me off. But one thing that never got old - Eric and Pam.

True Blood - I watched all seven seasons over the past two weeks and was reminded how good the show was and then how ridiculous it got. The last season and final episode still pisses me off. But one thing that never got old - Eric and Pam. I did that a few years ago (I think it was right after Nelsan Ellis died) and felt the same way. The first season or two were excellent. Then it devolved (IMO, when it seemed to throw out the books) into a big mess. I never got past how cringe-worthy Bill was. I like Stephen Moyer, but he was terrible as Bill. If he and Anna hadn't gotten together, they never would have kept him on the show that long.
I'm still in the middle of my Scandal binge. I'm on season 5 now. I was joking the other day that watching early episodes of this show is like watching early episodes of The Walking Dead: "Oh, he dies and she dies....and he dies too" I hadn't watched the show since the episodes first aired, so I forgot a lot of it. Not always great TV, but still fun and a GREAT soundtrack.

Ugh. I loved True Blood, but it had one of the worst endings. Right up there with Dexter. I'm currently in the middle of season two of Bosch - love it! Titus Welliver has such a nice voice...

I did a couple of seasons of The West Wing on Sunday - season 4 (when Rob Lowe left) and then the last half of the final season with the election and transition. I had to skip season 5 (after Aaron Sorkin left), it just doesn't do it for me.

I thought they were planning on trying to do some type of spinoff or prequel with the show Dexter. Whatever happened with that?

But one thing that never got old - Eric and Pam. They did Tara so, so dirty in Season 7 and gave her useless horrible mother redemption and I hated it. Then there was the actor who was playing Jessica's love interest in season 6 getting fired because he didn't want to play a bisexual vamp character who gets with Lafayette so they had to recast. The only good thing about that season was the preacher's wife having the cure to vamp hiv, Arlene doing a complete 360 because she fell in love with a vampire, and Eric and Pam. Whenever I rewatch now I stop with season 5.

Thanks to those who recommended How to Fix a Drug Scandal - we really liked it and watched all 4 episodes in one sitting!
Now we're watching Bosch and on Season 3. I really do not like the Bosch character at all and at this point I've given up on him growing on me LOL. What a jerk....
Should we watch Ozark or Walking Dead next?

Have you read the Michael Connelly series that Bosch is based on? Maybe that's why you don't like Harry? As a longtime fan of those books, I find it shocking that someone doesn't love him like I do. He's one of my favorite (if not my favorite) fictional detectives and Connelly is one of the masters of the genre.

No, I haven't read the book so you're right, maybe that's the difference. My dad read the Michael Connelly books and he loves the series. I think maybe it's the actor that's turning me off too. No expressions on his face at all? Barely makes eye contact with anyone?
