Bingeing my way through Hart of Dixie as quickly as possible so that I can get through all 3 1/2 seasons before it leaves Netflix on December 14. The characters have really grown on me. Gonna miss it when I'm done. That's what I'm doing too! I'm halfway through season two. This is the fourth time I've watched it, but I love it so much. I put almost every other show on pause to watch it one more time before it leaves Netflix. I love the characters, the wittiness, and the general feel-good aspect of the show.

I managed to binge Miranda this week on Hulu, and it was hysterical. I've like Miranda Hart ever since I saw her on "Call the Midwife" and had no idea she had her own show, and she does an excellent job of breaking the fourth wall pre-Fleabag. Lots of fun British humor, definitely check it out!

The weeklong marathons of Doctor Who on BBC America and RuPaul's Drag Race on Logo are keeping me occupied around the clock this week.

My daughter got me watching Taskmaster on YouTube Christmas Eve. Each season has a panel of 5 British comedians who are given a series of tasks to complete. Thinking outside the box is rewarded. I find it hysterical. Each episode is stand alone. She started me off with season four which was her favorite panel. Then I watched season 7 which is my other daughter’s favorite. I’m sure I’ll eventually watch them all because it really tickles my funny bone.

Finished Helstrom on Hulu.
Finished Wu Assassin on Netflix.
Finished Swamp Thing on The CW.
Even with only 10 episodes some of them can drag along and then pack everything into the last two episodes or so.
Working on finishing the last of Season 15 of Supernatural.

Alice in Paris: Very fun new series on Hulu that manages to be everything Emily in Paris is not. A young lady from a small French town with an extremely developed palate for food as a child decides to follow her older sister to Paris when she's older to eat everything the city has to offer, and along the way makes friends, gets a job, and lives her life. I'm on episode 3 and liking it a lot; there's an incredible amount of Parisian porn in it to satisfy the folks who like location shots, Alice herself is charming, and the scenarios are believable; no nonsense about a 25 year old with a senior position at a marketing firm that flosses about in designer gear that cost a lot more than her salary can provide here. Very good so far.

I've gotten hooked on 30 Coins recently (HBO/HBO Max) - a well done, creepy religious horror series with the most gruesome opening credits I've ever seen. In Spanish, subtitled. Also been watching The Stand remake on CBS All Access. It's...meh. The jumping around on the storyline is irritating, as is looking at Amber Heard. I'm basically only watching for Alexander Skarsgard.

I, too, am disappointed in the way they skip back and forth in time with The Stand. The only creepy person is Mother Abigail who was supposed to be in Nebraska and travel with them to Utah. Remember her frying chicken to feed them as they waited for the others to arrive? Yah - meh

Watching the first season of Design Star on Discovery Plus, and seeing a younger David Bromsted is a delight. He's always had a gift for color.

I have been binge watching (and rewatching) Warrior on HBOMax. Adult themed, but great Bruce Lee- like action.

On Netflix - new series - FATE Another fantasy that drew me in and begs for a 2nd season. It really plays into my FoRT name. I finished watching Fate also. I do like how they are trying to get out of the box of a typical YA love story in a fantasy world. Normally shows like that skew so much into the stereotype of the kids actually know what is what and adult are sooooo stupid. I do like that while these kids do fall into that trap it is so shown that they do know nothing and that the adults actually know what they are doing. I do think the show had potential to really develop into an outstanding series.

I do too. The adults are all so stern and serious and the problem is that their focus may bring down the storyline. I have questions - why the Burned People? I know the how, but would like to know the why. How did (I still don't have names)original head mistress know the village was made of blood witches?
I hope they explore how the ancient magic was made current. How do they separate fairies and fighters? Aren't the all technically fairies?

I was watching episodes of Dateline. One of the episodes had to do with the murder of a student in a train tunnel in California. It was supposed to be a life sentence without parole, but the governor commuted the sentence of one of the people involved in the murder, so he may get out on parole. It was so sad to see his sister while hearing the outcome.

The Stand (CBS All Access) - welp, that's finally over. The ending wasn't too terrible - plus we got a shot of Skarsgard's bare behind - but it wasn't enough to make up for the general cringe of the series as a whole. Oh well. Your Honor (Showtime) - the judge's son is an utter moron and there are plenty of plot holes, but this is a messy crime drama that's still interesting enough to check out.

Since I'm finally back home with access to HBO Max (my parents' internet just isn't strong enough for me to watch it at their house) and the new episodes of Strike are available, I'm currently re-watching the first seven episodes of the series. I'm just finishing up episode 7, actually. It's been a long time since I watched them! I'm remembering now how much I love Tom Burke and Holliday Granger together and am still hoping Cormoran and Robin will get together. She's far too good for cheating Matthew.

After kind of struggling to find something good to watch ( Zero Chill on Netflix and Cypher on Roku Channel - that last one was horrible), I've settled on The Great Pottery Throw Down on HBO Max. I love series with makers and artists and this one is so fun. I know next to nothing about pottery, but have several friends and colleagues who are potters and ceramicists. It's nice to learn a bit about their art and process. There are four seasons, so I'm set for a few days!

I'm watching The Wilds on Amazon Prime. I am loving it. Lots of twists! It's about a group of teenagers who are in a plane crash on their way to a female empowerment retreat in Hawaii. But things aren't what they seem. It reminds me of OITNB in the way they are doing the young women's backstories.

I just finished The Stand also and wasnt too sure about the ending. But I loved where the little girl healed Frannie. I dont remember that in the book, but I read it so long ago I didnt know what was going to happen next! Now I will re-read the book again.

Rewatching Orphan Black because I had an urge to see Sara, her seestras, Felix, Donnie, Siobhan, Art, Gracie and that male clone, and all the other supporting characters. I love the science behind the show and Tatiana was marvelous as all of the clones.

Bingeing Call The Midwife...made it to the end of Season 3 so far. I don't know why I haven't watched this before, as I love pretty much anything Masterpiece Theatre. I suppose I couldn't find my way jumping into the middle of the series, so I started at the beginning on Netflix. What a wonderful series and lovely characters and their stories.

The XFinity Watchathon started today! First up is season two of A Discovery of Witches. Several people I know said it's disappointing, but I'm going to give it a try anyway. Not sure what I'll watch next. Maybe stuff on Starz or Acorn. Anyone else doing a Watchathon binge this week?

So far I've watched season two of A Discovery of Witches ( - better than I expected), The Salisbury Murders ( ) and am now on season three of Riviera with Julia Stiles (I've already seen the first two seasons). I'm also making my way through Men in Kilts on Starz, which is just fun with Sam Heughan and Graham MacTavish.
I'm trying to watch everything I can between now and next Tuesday!
