I generally watch all of the Hallmark Christmas movies, but ACK, this one with LeAnne Rimes is BAAAAD. Who decided she could act? I mean, these things aren't Ibsen or anything, but yeesh, she's terrible.

I'm stockpiling the "new" ones showing up at 8 PM on Saturday evenings. Maybe one day or two before Christmas, I'll need all that goo.

I am actually shocked Eddie let her do another movie fearing she would cheat on him. What is that Dr. Phil says all the time ... 'past behavior is a huge predictor of future behavior' ... hmmm!!!!!!

I always think of Master Thespian (aka Jon Lovitz) on SNL: "ACTING!!!"

I watch almost all of the Hallmark movies and enjoy them for what they are....fluff! I did catch one the other night I had not seen last year, which was a cut above the rest. " A Christmas Connection." It had the leads trying to solve a mystery of how the female lead's parents met way back when in Chicago. Her folks died when she was young and she moved to CA to live with grandparents. She was a flight attendant. The male lead was a newspaper journalist. The plot had some meat to it.

I always say I’m not going to go overboard... ha. I’ve never seen It’s a Wonderful Life. Maybe this year. What?? I don't know you terribly well, but what little I know of you makes this statement shocking. Go overboard. Please. Watch It's a Wonderful Life. Please.

It's funny but I've never seen "A Christmas Story", which some consider a Christmas classic as well. I don't know much about it other than it came out in 1983 (the year I was married) and it's about a young boy Ralphie who dreams of getting a Red Rider bb gun for Christmas. Folks way younger than I consider it to be a classic but honestly, I don't know how anything can top "It's a Wonderful Life." Great, great movie. Sit and watch with a box of Kleenex, Gutmutter.

Maybe Christmas Day if it’s on Netflix. I’m new to Christmas alone.

I tried watching It's a Wonderful Life once. Frankly, I didn't like it. I think my mom was watching it and she finished it but I just never cared for it. I know most people love it.

I feel the same way about the movie ECM brought up with the BB gun and weird leg lamp.

Possibly the best line ever from any Christmas movie was uttered by Lacey Chabert (who probably owes her entire career to the Hallmark Channel) in The Sweetest Christmas: "I have to show him how I feel the best way I know how - with gingerbread."
Kudos to her for delivering that line with a straight face.

For all we know, Mary Berry may have said the same thing as a young girl.

Did anyone watch the Kurt Russell/Santa Claus movie on Netflix? I saw a lot of ads for it but haven't had a chance to watch any movies lately.

If anyone else has the ION Network, today is a marathon of Christmas movies.

I recorded at least one of them. Missed the Sunday showings of NCIS: LA, but they rolled that on last Friday. I have quite a collection of Christmas movies on DVR. Now I have to find time and interest to watch them.

It was fun and clever and "feel good" and an all around good time!

I hope Rudolph doesn't get banned. I haven't seen the video that criticized it, but from, what I heard, it was supposed to be satire and not a bot serious critique.

There's an adorable 30-minute animated story called "Angela's Christmas" on Netflix. It's based on a story by Frank McCourt who wrote "Angela's Ashes."

For those who don't go into the GBBO thread, they now have their Holiday Special available for viewing on Netflix starring many of your fav bakers from the past. It's just two episodes (with different bakers) with a winner in each one. Such a nice Holiday show.
