What's with that big bowl of what looks like broccoli on Sonny's counter? It is a little known fact that the name Corinthos means bowl of broccoli, so it is kind of the family crest. HA! Best possible answer.

I’ve actually been enjoying that bowl of broccoli. Very zen. 😌

The broccoli has been front & center this week. Probably ready to eat. I thought today's show was kind of a mess. I didn't watch GH way back when Carly first came to town, or whatever that was all about. I was completely confused. First off, I assumed that's who the Jocelyn actress was playing in those flashback scenes, but it took me at least half way through the show to figure that out. If so, it was a poor choice to use her for that part. Just added to the confusion. Plus, they didn't even attempt to disguise Jocelyn's appearance. She still looked just like Jocelyn. They should have had a new unknown actress. Also, the Nina actress was playing someone. I have no idea who. Once again, very confusing. Was it Bobbie? Was it Carly's adopted mother? A friend? Was it someone else entirely if the other one wasn't Carly? It left me totally confused. Then those Nelle flashbacks. They kept jumping around in time from past/further past/present/and not sure when. Plus, the locations kept changing. It was nothing but confusing. I think what we really needed were subtitles explaining who the characters were & when & where they were taking place. I think the writers' intentions were good, but the way those intentions were implemented was very poor. It could have been a fun episode if done well. Instead it was a mess.

I think the Joselyn and Nina flashbacks were meant to portray a young Nelle and her Mother. At least that was my thinking.

The scenes today revealed (or re-revealed) that Carly's adopted parents' name was Benson -- which is also Nelle's original last name. So even though they're not blood sisters, Carly's adopted parents were apparently Nelles birth parents, right?
In the mother-daughter scenes, the mother called her daughter Caroline, which is Carly's former name, so I'm pretty sure the scenes were portraying what happened between a very young Carly and her adopted mother. But why was the mother played by Nina (in a brown wig and glasses)????
To add to the mystery, they have they been showing a lot of shots of Nina and the 'heart-necklace' lately. Does that have something to do with today's flashback scenes? Especially since Carly's adopted mother was played by the same actress who plays Nina, clearly to tell us that Carly's adopted mother and Nina have some connection. Anyone know what that connection is?

Did you see the scene recently when Willow went into Nina’s office and saw the half heart necklace? She was like a deer in headlights with shock. Nina noticed and offered the backstory. It seemed pretty clear to me where the writers are headed.

It seemed pretty clear to me where the writers are headed. Yes, I noticed that too, Gutmutter, and I was really confused because I thought the same thing you thought! But on the other hand, Harmony really seems to be Willow's mother, so I wonder what the answer will be. Maybe Harmony adopted Willow when she was a baby, and maybe Harmony somehow had been given the other half of the heart-necklace. And if that was the case, then Willow might have seen the necklace when she was living with Harmony.

At the end of yesterday's show, it looked like Nelle had the other half of the necklace. I want Nelle to just be gone and would much rather it was Willow.

I heard someone speculate and I don’t know if it’s a spoiler, so here come the tags: {Spoiler} The half heart Nelle has was from Harmony’s blackmail confession that she’s not Willow’s mom. As the widow, she got Shilo’s possessions when he died.

For the past few weeks I have gotten only the 1st half hour as our Governor holds his covid19 updates during the 2nd half. So, I am missing a lot.

Re: Flashback Friday, I watched this weeks episode the first time it was on, but didn't remember just how jam packed it was with content. An awful lot of important stuff was going on in this episode. I'll bet it was some kind of sweeps week show. Jason & Franco breaking Carly out of the asylum. Michael & Chase setting up Nelle & it coming to a conclusion. Michael & Nelle's accident, and Nelle leaving him there & him getting rescued by Sonny. Leisel escaping. Nelle giving birth & Leisel delivering the baby while on the run. Wiley dying in his crib.
There may have been more, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head. Anyhow, it was a lot for 1 episode.

He seems really old for her. She should end up pregnant, except then she’d be on my tv screen more. I can’t abide her whiny, holier-than-thou voice.

That's exactly what I thought the moment Brando came out & it was clear what had happened: Molly will end up pregnant & there will be a "who's the daddy" storyline. Although, the moment the baby is born it will be obvious. As for Molly being irritating, she's not half as bad as Kristina. I cringe every time she's on my screen. She's got to be comfortably into her 20's at this point, but behaves like a spoiled 13-14 year old who won't grow up. Molly's a distant 2nd.

Why did Charlotte bring a snake to Violet’s party? Is it poisonous? Where did she get it? Who is her target? When did they SORAS Danny?

My guess is yes, the snake is poisonous. Someone familiar with snakes probably could recognize it immediately with its rather unusual color and markings. As to who is the target, that remains to be seen. Who was it that Charlotte tripped in Kelly's restaurant just recently?
I never saw a pinata like that where, instead of hitting it to release the contents, this one had strings to pull from underneath. Certainly a lot safer than hitting with a stick or bat.

My guess is that she didn't have a definite target, but once there chose Ava because she & Nikolas kicked her father & her horse out of the house & off the island. It's Charlotte's way of getting even. She always has been a nasty little thing.
There sure have been an awful lot of flashback scenes the last couple of weeks. Completely unnecessary ones too. I think they're trying to stretch their filmed episodes so that they don't run out before they can get back to filming. I think they are taking a lot away from the episodes, but Flashback Friday is kind of fun.

I had the same thought about the flashback scenes. Fine with me if it means we don’t run out too fast. Did Ava get bit? Where did she get the snake? How did she get it to the party without her mom noticing the burlap sack? I may have missed all this due to preemptions.

I read the last new episode is 5/21 and they are going to show Nurse's ball re-runs. Meh, I would rather they go way back to Luke and Laura days or something.
So does everyone else's governor come on at 2 pm every day? Mine does so I have to watch on Demand. Caught up for this week though. Trina is just such a brat! Cyrus creeps me out. I think Willow liked Michael's kiss at the wedding, I bet they end up together.

I think Willow liked Michael's kiss at the wedding, I bet they end up together. There is so much they could show other than nurses ball stuff. Unless they go back to the first years of Nurses balls. Those were good. But there is over 50 years of material to draw from, most of it better than Nurses ball. The whole Luke and Laura on the run set of episodes was wonderful. That was when I first started watching GH. I think the most tragic thing I have have ever seen on daytime was when BJ died and Maxie got her heart. Some old Quartermaine storylines with Lila & the original Edward would be quite welcome Most of the storylines from before GH became the Sonny & Carly show would be welcome, actually

I'm thoroughly enjoying the reruns of old Nurses' Ball programs. Not only the musical performances (most of which I remember, especially Liesel's) but to see who was coupled up at that time. I'm hoping they begin showing the very early shows going way back.
