I saw this on TMZ and then the video Ingo posted, hoping he would be on GH for another 25 yrs or at least 10. I think he is tad spoiled. He will be replaced within the week. Good Luck suing ABC for firing you, public health will trump your freedom from being vaccinated. At least you can afford to be fired and sit on your butt in your mansion. |

Good Luck suing ABC for firing you, public health will trump your freedom from being vaccinated. At least you can afford to be fired and sit on your butt in your mansion. And only a tad bit talented. I think he's realized that he's not going to be in high demand. It's not just that he refused to get vaccinated. Maybe some productions would hire him anyway. IMO, the bigger issue with respect to him getting other jobs is the bigoted comments. Maybe in some businesses, that would be less repugnant, but not in show business.
Soap actors don't make that much money, comparatively. Especially not if you're a longtime cast member and not a BIG star. There aren't a lot of Susan Luccis and Erika Slezaks left on daytime. There's much more money to be made on nighttime network TV and probably streaming too. Unless IR invested well and saved, I'd be surprised if he lived in a mansion. Most soap actors can't afford to stop working or take very much time off. |

That goes a long way on any TV hiring. But looks don't hold out forever. Plus, if he has a reputation for being "difficult" or non compliant with COVID rules, getting hired could be a bit harder. Seeing that ABC has strict rules about COVID compliancy & it's based in California, finding anyone sympathetic in this industry is not a good bet. His best bets would be to either go get the vaccine, which I doubt he'll do, or sit tight & hope the pandemic passes soon. Then he might be able to grovel up a job before he either ages out or gets forgotten. Personally I hope he just goes away. |

He's an okay actor, but I don't think I've ever seen him play any other role. Maybe that's all he can do 
IIRC, he lived in Hawaii at one point. They're super careful with respect to Covid, so maybe he wouldn't be welcome back there. Maybe he can get a job teaching surfing.

He's not exactly a big draw for the show anymore.
He's already relegated to the "Joss's Dad" part in any storyline he's a part of. That's kind of a dead end place to be.
Jason on the other hand, is around the same age, but is used as a romantic lead & the "action guy". Although Drew could be used in both these ways to temporarily or permanently replace the place if he does well.
Sonny, who's a few years older, is also used as a romantic lead & a powerful force to be reconned with.
Both roles have way more staying power.
I think the show could just write out the part of Jax & no one would miss him.

When the Jax character first showed up I wondered why they hired him as I felt the acting was very flat and he was not very compelling. Very surprised to see he is still on the show many years later. To tell you the truth, I'm never all that sure when he's in the cast or not. He's on so little. And his part in any storyline is so inconsequential. He'll show up on screen one day & I think "Oh look. There's Jax." Nothing more. Nothing less. He's really not an important character anymore. I don't think people will miss him. |

I knew in one episode he was not at all a good fit for BOLD. He was attempting a relationship with Katie and next thing we know he is off BOLD. No one missed him. |

Today was brutal! What the HELL are they thinking running a story like this at Christmas? My heart goes out to anyone who has lost a child. Today was one of the more depressing episodes we've ever gotten. All of the storylines were kind of downers. The only one which took a turn at the end was Drew/Scout, with her finally letting down her guard for a moment with him & wanting him to lift her up to put the star on the tree. Other than that it was one downer after the other. I did like it at the end when Mike's spirit showed up to carry little Liam to Heaven. Major tear jerking. I'm crying even typing that one. I just wish the show could have found a way to keep Mike alive & on cast. He (the actor) is fantastic. He shines in even the smallest segment. |
