January 2021: The Duke and Miss Scarlet When headstrong Eliza Scarlet is left penniless and devastated after the death of her father, she has two choices for survival: marriage or her father’s private detective agency. But no matter how well she knows the tricks of his trade, the trade itself is deemed entirely inappropriate for a genteel lady of the 1880s. Enter “The Duke,” Scotland Yard’s Detective Inspector William Wellington, a notorious drinker, gambler, womanizer…and a crime-solving friend to Eliza (no matter how much they may bicker!) Also looking forward to: "Elizabeth is Missing" and "All Creatures Great and Small"! Happy Anniversary Masterpiece! (I'm ready to celebrate). New Shows Kick Off MASTERPIECE’s 50th Anniversary

I'm not an opera fan, but I'm intrigued by this comment from Shaun Evans: “[Endeavour‘s writer] Russell Lewis wrote an opera to go with it, which was then translated into ancient Italian. Then in [Season 7’s first episode] Oracle, the episode that I directed, we got some opera singers to learn it and to perform it. We staged the opera and shot it…" Shaun Evans reveals 4 Surprises
New season 7 premiers tonight.

Last season was intense to watch, I saw bad cops growing more corrupt in each episode. But, the good guys persevered and found out why and who killed Detective Constable Fancy from Season 5. The showdown ending to Season 6 was good, very good. So, I'm interested to watch Shaun develop his character this season, into more of the character John Thaw portrayed.
I only watched 1 episode of Inspector Morse previously, but, our library makes the entire series available to borrow. When this series has concluded, I plan to resume watching original series Inspector Morse.

The two of the actors in this season Endeavour are real life wife and son of the actor who plays Thursday: In Season 7’s second episode, Raga, your son, William Allam, plays Gary Rogers, and your wife, Rebecca Saire, plays his mother, Mrs. Radowicz. What was it like for you to play the scene in the morgue where Gary’s mother breaks down when identifying his body? Was it personally harrowing to see your son on the table like that, and have your wife inconsolable, or do all your years of training and inhabiting characters allow you distance from it? ROGER ALLAM: It’s a strange double thing, because of course I thought I’d be really upset. But we’d traveled in together, and I’d seen William in makeup and everything, so there’s a part of you that knows—I knew he wasn’t dead. It’s a very strange kind of double reality. It is undeniable that it is very powerful to go in and see your son on a slab and your wife being very, very upset, and you’re not. I wasn’t his father—my character isn’t his father, so it’s a very strange situation. And of course, it was also the first scene that either of them did, so Rebecca had to sort of leap in at, probably, the most difficult thing to do. Roger Allam Interview

Is anyone watching the New Season of Last Tango in Halifax? What a trip! The grandkids are no longer infants and are adorable, (discussing Celia and Alan's ages.) My goodness, Celia has turned into quite the "entitled Lady" hasn't she? Celia and Alan just moved into their own bungalow and they learn that Alan's brother Ted, is returning to the UK and wonders if he can stay with them. Celia feels the guest bedroom needs immediate fixing up, ($$$$$) and she wants to give her beautiful, but a little dated Kitchen a new makeover. While poor Gillian desperately needs a new roof, which is about to cave in do to wormwood. I wasn't sure if I even wanted to watch again, because it's been a long time since the last season ended. I guess there was a Christmas special which I missed but, will watch soon. The new season looks good. I enjoyed the first episode and all of the quirky characters are being their quirky best. Only person I'm not thrilled with is Celia, she is certainly happy to spend money but, grumbles aptly about everything else. Still, I enjoyed seeing Alan stand up for himself and his family.

I hope you can watch the first episode on PBS online. I had some good laugh out loud moments. Acting is so good! The little ones deliver beautifully too.
In addition to airing on PBS stations, new episodes of Last Tango in Halifax will be available to stream for free on PBS.org and the PBS video app for 30 days after their initial broadcast.

I found the beginning of Flesh & Blood intriguing. But, then after 40 minutes....I found myself cleaning the bedroom while it played on in the background. I’m not sure if I thought it was to slow, or if I found it boring. I hope the next episodes moves along, or gives us more information. Imelda Staunton is a great actress, wouldn’t be surprised if she is the culprit....
Last Tango: oh oh....when I saw Celia’s kitchen gone I thought, has she been scammed? I hate when seniors have been scammed.

I enjoyed Flesh and Blood allot!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
So much to “UNPACK” ..... (can I just state for the record I HATE that word and everyone everywhere is using it) !!!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Mary Mary Mary ..... you are annoying and shocking! Opening the package, actually wearing the robe and spying on VIV and MARK. 😳😳😳😳
MARK.......do something with all that disheveled hair.......like maybe cut it and style it!!! 💇🏻♂️💇🏻♂️💇🏻♂️💇🏻♂️
None of the siblings are one bit happy with their lives. 😱😱😱😱
NATALIE......is having an affair with some millionaire who she works with and she is pregnant. JAKE.......does not appear to trust Mark. He is worried about his Mom being involved with Mark. He is a personal trainer and he sleeps around for extra money. Appears he messed up his family life by blowing a large sum of money. HELEN........ appears to have a great job, is happy for her Mom but she cannot hold her booze.
So as you can see.....there is so much to UNPACK!!! 🤪🤪🤪🤪

Imelda Staunton is the best "mischievous, evil person" actor! She wiped that blob off of the "borrowed" robe, I thought, oh no, she will never return it now. I've loved "disliking" her characters, since she played the mean minister of Magic replacement for Dumbledore in Harry Potter movies. I'm sure she is somehow responsible for whomever is injured, but you can't help but laugh at how nosey she is. Who painted the giraffe on Gillian's barn? The hitchhiker with Angus? OMG I hope she sells that terrible farm. Poor Uncle Ted, but, somehow, I think Cilia deserved being scammed, seriously it was a lovely kitchen.

I thought it might of been Gillian's son, he had a strange look on his face. Gillian has the worst luck doesn't she.. I cannot believe it's the end of the season next week..:-( meanwhile it looks like Ted and Harrison are going on a joy ride..LOL

How strange that a giraffe appears in the middle of the night? They must have needed a light and ladder to do it. I thought because Angus and the hitchhiker conveniently disappeared first thing, maybe they did it. However, Gillian's son Raff was the first to discover it, i thought he was shocked by it. Maybe it was just a setup. Could it have been done during the day when they were all gone? I hope we find out by the end of the season. What's to become of these people? There are so many story lines, I wonder how they will bring it all together? I was hoping Gillian would sell, and join Robbie in Canada. But, she isn't missing him at all. Robbie's ex Fiance is back, and out to get Gillian one way or another. I love that Caroline is professionally successful and loved, but now what? Judith and John both after her? I think I may watch this season again now.
