Imelda Staunton is the best "mischievous, evil person" actor! She wiped that blob off of the "borrowed" robe, I thought, oh no, she will never return it now. I've loved "disliking" her characters, since she played the mean minister of Magic replacement for Dumbledore in Harry Potter movies. I'm sure she is somehow responsible for whomever is injured, but you can't help but laugh at how nosey she is. Who painted the giraffe on Gillian's barn? The hitchhiker with Angus? OMG I hope she sells that terrible farm. Poor Uncle Ted, but, somehow, I think Cilia deserved being scammed, seriously it was a lovely kitchen. I thought it might of been Gillian's son, he had a strange look on his face. Gillian has the worst luck doesn't she.. I cannot believe it's the end of the season next week..:-( meanwhile it looks like Ted and Harrison are going on a joy ride..LOL I think your right. I watched again and saw Raff’s look on his face when Gillian said she filed a police report on vandalism. If he didn’t do it himself, he must know who did. I bet he was just trying to help his mom out. i think Gillian and Caroline should move in together. They can take care of each other. They get along so well. Sell the land, get rid of that bad barn juju, and get a place with or near Caroline so you can support each other.

I receive emails from a few authors that I have written reviews for after reading advance copies of their books. There is one series only by the author Alison Golden which I enjoy. Her newsletter today included this note on the upcoming PBS "All Creatures Great and Small":
"It was my absolute pleasure a couple of nights ago to see the first episode of the remake of All Creatures Great and Small.
If you are not familiar with it, ACGS is a series set in the 1930s about the travails of a young Glaswegian vet, James Herriot, who takes up his first post in a rural farming community in the Yorkshire Dales.
Super sweet, gorgeous scenery, and likable characters, I was transported back to the 1970s when I would watch the first series with my family on a Sunday night. This series is arguably an even better remake - funny, heartwarming, suitable for all ages. It was quite simply, balm for the soul."

Last tango in halifax
I love the hymn , I Vow to Thee My Country, it was at the wedding of Diana and Charles, and also at her funeral. It was used at the funerals of Churchill and Thatcher. . I always tear up. Many storylines were wrapped up with happy endings. Dancing to time after time, precious. I'm so pleased that Harrison will be with his sister, that little lad can act! I'll miss him.. Sad for Alan’s brother, but he went out as he wished to, I think. Not all is well, but I think left on a hopeful note. Episode 6 please, and a Christmas special this year.

WOW, what an episode. I find the kids all OVERBEARING. I realize they have their MOM's best interests at heart but CALM DOWN all of you. Not one of them is happy that MOM has moved on with MARK. WHILE ALL OF THEM have their own drama to deal with. I felt badly for Mary when she overheard Vivian says she did not want to end up like Mary. Mary was simply coming over to drop off some muffins and jam. Mary, as we have mentioned here ..... is ODD ..... unless Vivian has given Mary free rein to go in her home whenever she wants, Mary does allot of trespassing. WHY DOES SHE WANT MARK's VIAGRA???? So the car BLOWING up is a mystery? I am not sure that Mark has a daughter? Those SIX WEEKS went fast, seems like Mark and Vivian leaves for Spain and basically the next scene they are sitting on the beach with all Vivian's adult children. I guess Mark's career as an MD is all truthful. BUT something has happened and we are getting snippets of all of them being interviewed by a detective or police officer. I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!

Yep, a lot of questions remain to be answered. I did feel for Mary overhearing Vivian's negative comment about her, especially because we learn she not only lost a child, but her husband walked out on her. I don't think Mark's daughter exists either. Vivian seems a bit naive. Has she even seen photos of alleged daughter or even talked to her? Was the "faux" medical emergency even broadcasted on the evening news in Malaga? Hmmm

Poor Vivian, although she's maybe not 100% innocent. We will have to see, British tv has many twists. Sometimes I watch an episode twice, and see different things. I love and hate Mary, she doesn't need viagra, she was being vindictive, she hates Mark and the life he's showing Viv..plus she's obviously been use to wondering around her neighbors house. I wonder if she set the car on fire( with the sons help)? She's had some upheaval in her life, but again, we don't know everything 100%.. Just like Marks daughter, or none daughter, she could show up in episode 4..lol
The woman who was fired by Helen, managed a genius revenge, sending photos of an innocent meeting, we call her grudge-holdingLlady!..lol Helen is the double of my doctor, it's strange every timeshe's on screen

I think Mark has a daughter, but only because they made it seem like he doesn’t. Nosey neighbor is one thing, stalking another. I don’t know, but I think she is responsible for something...I just don’t know what. Why have we still not seen Mark or Vivian? Is one dead, and the other “barely hanging on”. Who is in the hospital fighting for life? ETA: oh I agree Fanny, Last Tango was awesome ending! Dancing at the end, celebrating their 7th, understanding it was all just the 7 year itch. Happy for Harrison, although his sister does have a little firecracker there. Hotwired a car, and no one understands how they ended up at the beach. I was sad for Ted, but when I saw his vision of his wife, I knew it was a happy ending for him.

Well, just one more episode left of Flesh and Blood. I'm enjoying it so much. The looks Mary and Mark were giving each other from a distance were everything! Imelda is killing it! On the one hand I like that she has been such a good friend to Vivian but on the other hand, her coming into Viv's house when no one is around and her snooping and mischief make her that much more complex. Her vindictiveness while Mark was in the shower made me gasp. I'm curious how it will wrap up this Sunday but sad it will come to an end.

Its an excellent show.Natalie finally dumped her married jerk of a boyfriend. Did she lie about being pregnant, or is she still pregnant. ? After five years of sneaking around, I get why she'd finally say, enough.Five years , it should have been obvious the guy was never going to leave his wife. Mary and Mark by the fence was great. I wish there was a bit more of those two. I did not see Stella being the lawyer. That was a nice reveal, and I'm certain she's fallen for Jake I think Mary was cutting up the fabric, to make a quilt, which is a lovely idea, but Mary makes it appear creepy. Imelda Staunton as Mary , such wonderful acting, the way she and Mark exchanged looks, if looks could kill..!!

Ah yes, if looks could kill...we still don't know if a murder did take place or who the victim is as I thought the person was still in the hospital. Yes, I do think Stella has fallen for Jake. I didn't take her for a lawyer/solicitor. I'm taking Natalie at her word that she was never pregnant and it was just a ruse to get her married bf to leave his wife. Glad she woke up finally! I have no idea why Mary is making a quilt out of the clothes that Vivian gave her. Weren't they supposed to be donated somewhere? Francesa Annis is in amazing shape and is quite lovely. I'm quite new to watching shows on PBS and while I have heard of both her and Imelda Staunton, don't know much about them. Is Imelda always this dowdy looking? She's 63, I think, and looks older than Francesa who is I believe 71 or so.

I think Natalie is still pregnant. I think she finally realized her relationship was never going to work out the way she thought, and lied to him so he will stay away.
If looks could kill, right? Mark and Mary will never get along. I don't know what to think about Mark. Usually when they try to make someone out to be the bad guy from the start, they really are not. But, there is to much stacked against him.
I wonder if anyone dies, or if the person in the hospital will live, and tell us what really happened? Only one last episode to go. Is there a season two or will this be complete?

I heard the UK want a second season, not sure how you top this..LOL There is a lot to wrap up, I just hope that they do that. Leaving it without resolving everyone's storylines would need a second season. Is Nat pregnant, will Jake reconcile with his wife or Stella? Will Mary ever be satisfied? Lol? I hated that one Austin Masterpiece that never resolved the ending,( so I had to make up my own). This time I want to know if Mark murdered his first wife, and if he is poisoning Vivian.

Final episode of Flesh & Blood tonight, will we be satisfied or want a 2nd season?
Hugh Laurie and Helen McCrory in Roadkill, premieres next Sunday 11/1/20. Episode 1: Having just seen off a libel case, UK government minister Peter Laurence faces a pair of family scandals. Could the embarrassment derail his political career?
I'm in!

Wow! Flesh and Blood .... Not exactly what I consider a one season ending. Only thing resolved, was that we found out Mark has a daughter, and they are very close. Glad she was due to arrive the day he opened his eyes. Wow, wow...Mary was the one who put him in a coma when she covered his mouth and nose until he passed out. I like that Mark awoke at the end. I “think” Nat is still pregnant, but glad she dumped her boss. Helen, what a mess? I guess she needs some time off to really think about what is important to her. Did she resign? Poor Vivian, I’m not sure what that health problem is, but she is definitely in shock. Mary thinks it will just be like always with just the two of them after attempting murder. I did love the quilt she made, and she looked so pretty applying lipstick as she got ready for Viv’s birthday party. I don’t know...So, Mark was innocent? Jake pushed him over the balcony unintentionally, and Mary tried to murder him after first considering mouth to mouth resuscitation. What an ending?!!

So ,Mark does have a daughter, and they're close. Viv didn't look happy at the end, but Mary did. The quilt she made was beautiful, then she puts Mark in a coma.. If I were Mark, I wouldn't want anything to do with Viv's three dysfunctional children. Jake got caught, Natalie realized married guy would be moving on from her, and Helen who drank too much, was featured vomiting, all over SM.

That saying “what goes around, comes around” comes to mind. Each of the kids had a lessen to learn, Mark who everyone judged, does appear to be a victim. Mary, who I found adorable but also was suspicious of, seemed perfectly ok attempting murder, and then goes right on being happy taking care of Viv. If they know he is awake, what will Mary do next?
Has anyone been watching The Trouble with Maggie Cole? It precedes Flesh and Blood? I’m really enjoying Maggie’s daughter-in-law, so funny.

Mark opening his eyes at the end, holy moly! That would make a good cliffhanger and jumping up point for a second season. The kids are all a mess but alas, I guess we won't get any resolutions. I quite enjoyed this series. I may have to check out the Hugh Laurie aeries next week.

My thoughts....well, he is not a very nice politician is he? I mean I wouldn't want him as my leader. But, how bad is he, will he get his just rewards? This is compelling enough for me to watch. In a fantasy world, he would be the bad guy that loses in the end to the good guy. But, If he doesn't I will be pretty disappointed. So, I have to watch a little bit more to see if minister sleazy will get booted or not. Honestly, I love Hugh Laurie so even if I don't like dwelling on dirty politics; I am watching because he is such a fine actor. Plus, it's nice to listen to him speak/act in his native tongue. I think the cast is great also, Helen McCrory outstanding!!
