This photo was taken I think 14 years before she died. She was beautiful. Crown Princess Martha of Norway
According to wiki: She died of cancer in 1954 and her husband was crowned King just three years later. Princess Märtha of Sweden became engaged to her first cousin, Olav, only son and heir apparent of her uncle the King of Norway, during the 1928 Olympic Summer Games. Her sister, was the Queen of the Belgians, and died in a car crash in 1935. A tragedy, that Olav later said took his wife more than ten years to come to terms with it, but he did not think that she ever really got over her sister's death. She – together with her elder sister Margaretha – became a great support for her sister's children in Belgium. In the U.S., during the war years, she and her children initially stayed in the White House. Crown Prince Olav, however, had gone with his father to the United Kingdom, where he worked with the Norwegian government-in-exile. Thus, the crown couple, like many couples during that time, were separated for much of the war. Trygve Lie wrote about her war-work: “During those years of struggle, she was undeniably Norway's Ambassador Number 1, because of her charm, humanity, wisdom and tact. As Secretary of Foreign Affairs I had to turn to her many times, and the results she achieved and the advice she offered, were always of value." In 1942, she visited London to take part in the birthday celebration for her father-in-law, during which she was given the Saint Olav's order by her father-in-law the king, who said that it was "not because you are a Crown Princess, but because you have earned it."

Has anyone watched the Danish series "Seaside Hotel"? It premieres in Iowa on 3/21/21 on Masterpiece. Here is the synopsis: "At Andersen’s Seaside Hotel by the North Sea dunes, meet the chambermaid Fie, the merchant’s daughter Amanda, and the local fisherman Morten, whose fates are intertwined, as they seek to emancipate themselves from the plans other people have made on their behalf. From Walter Presents, in Danish with English subtitles."

Endeavour anyone? Endeavour creator Russell Lewis has confirmed his hopes for a season eight release date later this year. Article below doesn't say much, except repeats (several times) that they hope to have it air later this year. Endeavour Season 8Although I did find this review Q&A interesting, because it just reminds us of where Season 7 left us. 5 unanswered questions we still have after the Endeavour finale

All Creatures Great and Small has found its new Mrs. Pumphrey following the death of Diana Rigg last September. Playground CEO Sir Colin Callender said: “We were deeply saddened by the passing of Dame Diana Rigg who will always be a treasured member of the All Creatures family. Mrs. Pumphrey and her overly indulged Pekingese, Tricki Woo, are such iconic and cherished characters in Herriot’s world and we are delighted to welcome the wonderful Patricia Hodge.” Patricia Hodge Replaces The Late Diana Rigg On Channel 5/PBS Series ‘All Creatures Great & Small’
