I remember reading a while back it might be on Netflix. FB makes sense. I had to sign up to watch Sorry for your Loss and it was easy to use. I just don't like the week to week format FB and Hulu tend to have. Just give me the whole 10 episodes already. I'm willing to give The Real World a shot. When it was good it was good.

I just discovered some seasons are on Dailymotion. I'm watching SF right now I am watching Brooklyn through MTV Canada's website right now. IMHO, that is the last season before they started to drive the bus off the cliff by casting for maximum argument. Seems that way to me at least. I've never seen the really old seasons so not sure what they were like.

The first Las Vegas season is when producers figured out it was easier to do a show about excessive partiers than it was a human experiment of people trying to deal with each other.

Seems to me I read somewhere that Brooklyn/Cancun was about the time Jon Murray more or less walked away from trying to be more hands on with the show in favor of the Kardashians after MTV strong-armed him into relinquishing even more control to them to keep it on the air. Not sure. I don't like any of the recent seasons that don't have a location attached to the title. I tried to watch them but couldn't make it through the first episodes. I cannot imagine letting facebook users vote off a cast member and replace them with someone else is going to improve the quality any. Ugh.

My favorite season was definitely the first San francisco with Puck and Pedro. I didn't like when they started to do the stupid gimmick type of seasons with ex's and feuding family members and friends showing up. I get that there are so many reality shows on nowadays to contend with, and that they were trying to liven it up some after being on for so long, but it was too over the top and fake. They also stopped showing replays of the real world when it was last on mtv. I didn't see the point of showing 12 hours straight of the Ridiculousness show and 10 hours of teen mom and not one replay of current episodes of shows like the real world and the challenge.

When they first launched MTV Classic, they ran a bunch of the old seasons of Real World, and it was fantastic! Some they could not show because MTV sold them years ago into syndication and gave up the rights to show them. But they had enough of those early seasons when it really was an experiment in how people dealt with each other, and it was great. I agree with you that the first SF season was something special. Pedro telling his story was REALLY needed at the time, the way they dealt with Puck was genuine drama, and you had the beginning of Judd and Pam's relationship that eventually led to marriage. It takes the right casting, but that proved that you could have great story telling by just allowing people to live.

The new season of Real World is supposed to be on Facebook Watch on June 13.
They have some full seasons from the past on there too. I think Austin, Key west and Portland at the moment.

I am a bit concerned that they didn't have any fun stuff going on which is what makes the fighting tolerable. I no longer have a facebook account so I won't be watching anyway unless someone posts it on youtube or mtv's site.

I hope it doesn't get too preachy. The last season with the twins was one of the worst seasons, imo.

I think the deathblow for Real World was when Survivor started and was like....lets see how strangers interact with each other....ON A DESERTED ISLAND WITH NO FOOD! They upped the ante. Then big brother made a show with strangers living in a house where they couldn't leave the house...and voted each other out. So really MTV knew their audience...being young people who watch MTV....and went full steam ahead with drama, sex and alcohol.

So really MTV knew their audience...being young people who watch MTV....and went full steam ahead with drama, sex and alcohol. Since their ratings are in the toilet, I wouldn't say they really knew their audience at all. They started focusing on the tween/early teen demo because that is what advertisers wanted, not because they are THE audience the show once had. It is why it is more or less the Teen Mother channel at this point. Anyway, I think the show has potential still but I don't see them heading in that direction. They are trying to get the last drop of blood from the turnip at this point.

I started watching it. A recap so far, Yasmin identifies as female and male and also as christian and muslim. She is offended by the term illegal immigration and likes to show off her hairy armpits.

Caught up on the episodes released so far. It's a good diverse cast who are having hard conversations. Clint is the typical hot head that has ego problems. He slept with the blonde in the house and now he is all stage 5 clinger.

Episode 2: lol @ justin saying he can't be racist. Why do they keep putting so much of the conversation in giant words on the screen by the way? lol It reminds me of sesame st. or something.
