linkwww.bravotv.com/the-daily-dish/bravos-top-chef-season-16-last-chance-kitchen-detailsThe competition is definitely heating up when Bravo's Top Chef returns for Season 16 on December 6. Why? Well because Top Chef: Last Chance Kitchen is back — with higher stakes and, of course, some familiar faces. Season 15 Cheftestants Carrie Baird and Brother Luck, as well as Season 14 Cheftestant Jim Smith, will unpack their knives and return to the kitchen for a chance at redemption and a shot at the title. Hosted by Tom Colicchio, Last Chance Kitchen will give chefs the chance to get back in the competition thanks to fast-paced challenges that will offer the contestants the chance to prove they have what it takes to stay in the game. Check out what's to come this season on Last Chance Kitchen, sponsored by Hidden Valley Ranch, above. And you can catch it weekly on Bravotv.com when it premieres

Oh dear. I remember Carrie Baird being messy as hell Season 15, so I'm rooting for Brother.
edit: Oops, mixed her up with Claudette! I guess I'll be rooting for both of them.

I know...the three featured were all favorites of mine.

I like the choice of returning chefs this season. They're all really good, but also recent enough that none of their personalities would overshadow the new chefs. It will be a fair fight whoever wins, no favorites.

And so the older three remain, though Jim got through by the skin of his teeth and a re-imagined (deep fried) biscuit.

Two vets down, only Brother is left along with Natalie and Kevin. It's been tough, and it must be hard for Tom to choose, because I don't think anyone has made a noticeably bad dish yet.

Its a long road to get to the end of Last Chance. So far, rooting for Natalie.

Interesting competition this week....and stinging critique!

There are two episodes of LCK this week -- the 4 chefs do their own mini-Restaurant Wars, and there's another double elimination.
Then, the chefs who are still in the competition are brought to LCK (surprise!) to help the remaining two chefs complete their 3-course Restaurant Wars menus. (Spoiler: There's a twist when Nini draws Justin's knife to be on her team.)
We don't see which chef won b/c they will be re-entering the competition, so it will be revealed at the beginning of next week's Top Chef.

Any predictions as to who will re-enter???? A case could be made for either of them no doubt!

It's hard to say, but I'm kind of hoping Nini wins. Nothing against Brother, I only say this because the men outnumber the women at the moment.

My interpretation of the edit, for whatever that is worth, leads me to believe it will be Brother that enters the main competition. Also, the Bravo contestant page is spaced oddly, as if enough room to insert someone else.

I am sure that 2 will return from LCK, and I have a feeling in the end it will end up being 3. So maybe both Nini and Brother come back now and then one nearer to the end.

I am still torn but leaning towards Nini...because the edit seems to favour Brother.

They seem to be playing up the drama between Nini and Justin, plus Padma seems to like Nini, so I think she’s gonna get back in.

I applaud Brother for saying enough is enough and walking. The show took a good thing and blew it up into a circus, and there's such a thing as asking the chefs to jump through too many hoops in the name of 'good TV'. It's the same problem as with this season's Restaurant Wars, which got expanded but there was no payoff. I like Andy Denhart's take on it all: Top Chef’s Last Chance Kitchen is out of control - realityblurred

Yes, good for Brother for finally jumping off the hamster wheel. They really have turned it into a circus. Good article that you’ve shared. I agree with all that he says.

Yes, good for Brother for finally jumping off the hamster wheel. They really have turned it into a circus. Good article that you’ve shared. I agree with all that he says. This season's LCK challenges all sound off whatever got the new arrival eliminated. In that sense, I disagree with that article's position that it makes the whole thing more sketchy. Really quite the opposite. It makes it so the judges cannot be accused of designing the challenges to favor one chef's style/strong-suit over another's. I hate bringing back old season competitors though. I guess what it is really about is driving traffic to bravo's website more than it really is about the competition.

I was pulling for Pablo....darn. I agree with Brandon’s comment about wondering why Pablo would choose okra as an ingredient when everyone knows Tom hates it.
Brandon lives to see another day. Good for him, but he’s not my favorite.

Tom hates okra, but he hated most of the ingredients there as well.
I remember Tiffany Derry made okra that he loved during the Ellis Island challenge in the All Stars season, so maybe it's not impossible to please him if it's done right. But yeah, it was a risk.

Still rooting for Brandon, though you would have never gotten me to eat those parts. I despise pig's feet and the idea of eating an ear is just such an unpalatable thought I would hurl as soon as it touched my tongue.

I'm surprised Tom named the chef re-entering the competition in the LCK episode. Usually they make it a cliffhanger for the next show. Michelle comes back to the competition next week, and Eddie is done. He took it well.
