Hotel Mumbai I had forgotten this terrible terrorist attack, how these young men left such carnage, all in the name of Allah. Amazing to me, is they never did find the orchestrator of this attack.. The heart of Hotel Mumbai is with its staff, those professional and proud workers that decided to be heroes, and stay with their patrons... Dev Patel is an amazing young actor. I have enjoyed his work, since Slumdog Millionaire.

We watched "Doctor Strange" and "The Bone Collector." Our DVR player is now 100% clear of movies. But there are still several series that I'm ready to binge-watch (or re-watch, as the case may be).

I finally went to see Rocketman over the weekend. I loved it! I thought it was such a great way to tell Elton's story. I remember when the Steve Jobs movie came out, one of the men depicted said "none of that happened, but it was all true". I feel like Rocketman was the same way. The story of someone as artistic and creative as Elton deserves to be told like that. And I admire how honest Elton is about his flaws.
Also went to see Yesterday which was another great musical! Very creative with more depth than I expected.

I had never seen Home alone 2. It was ok until later in the movie, which dragged on too long with the two thiefs and felt like a cartoon. It was good to see legendary actor Rob Schneider.

Justice league. I'd give it two stars out of four.

CNN has begun a series called The Movies. It is co produced by Tom Hanks. The 1st episode was all about the 80’s and the next is the 90’s. Anyone interested in the movies should check it out.

Watched Ready Player One again. The romance in the movie was still bad but the visuals and basic story was great. I originally saw it on a 70mm screen and that was fantastic but it was still great to watch on the computer.

Finally got to see YESTERDAY today. My husband and I absolutely loved it. The music was terrific, of course, and the story was even better than I expected.

Monster, based on a true story about a prostitute who became a serial killer. I'd give it 2 1/2 stars out of four.

Adventureland. I liked it, was better than I thought it might be. Matt Bush was funny. He's also good in the movie Nice Guy Johnny.

Went into Hereditary unspoiled and all I can say is Holy Crap! Toni Colette is truly underrated.

Couldn't find anything to watch this weekend so I sadly spent $5.99 each to rent on demand. Plus One - Longtime single friends agree to be each other's plus one at every wedding they are invited to. We don't get man Rom Coms anymore so this one was nice to see. It has everything you want. Worth the rental. Saving Zoe - One year after the murder of her sister, a freshman in high school uncovers the truth about her secret life by reading her diary. I was ready for a decent murder mystery but it all fell flat. Don't waste your time. After - A young girl falls for a bad boy her freshmen year in college. I didn't know till later this is based on a book series which made sense since the ending happened suddenly for a sequel. This is basically a young adult version of Fifty Shades of Grey. I felt silly watching it but then again I read and watched all the Fifty series.

I found myself up late last night/early this morning, watching Father of the Bride, the original one with Spencer Tracy on late night TV.
I suppose it was entertaining enough. It didn't put me to sleep, but OMG was it sexist. Times have certainly changed in real life & in movies. Thank God.

I saw Hereditary recently, I'd give it a thumbs up. The same director did that other recent movie called Midsommar. I've heard some say how slow and boring they thought that was, others seemed to like it a lot.

Watched Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman recently - both movies were fantastic. I'll probably watch them both again, just because.

Okay - we watched the new(ish) Mary Poppins last night. I love Emily Blunt and anything filmed or centered around England, so I was ready to totally love it.
We turned it off halfway through. Just wasn't our cuppa tea.
