Watched Roswell, New Mexico (TV series) on the CW - felt very much like one of their teen romances and these folks are ten years older. Could be a nice watch if nothing else is on.
The Passage - again another derivative show about mans hubris, trammeling all over folks Constitution rights and bringing on an apocalypse. Could be a nice watch if nothing else is on. The little girl playing Amy Bellefonte is good and her relationship with Brad Wolgast is what can possibly elevate this series.
Deadly Class
per Google:
It is dark and wacky. If you liked SyFy's Happy you will like this.

I tried Roswell as I enjoyed it the first time around, but found this one rather boring (too derivative?) I also watched Passage and enjoyed it. Yes, the girl actor is marvelous and a zombie apocalypse looms over us all.

I watched the premier of Roswell, New Mexico, and I agreed with Bearcata at the beginning. Another typical CW show of young overly pretty oversexed people. I almost turned the channel. I did stick it out, however, and it grew on me. It held my interest & the characters are likable. I think I'll watch it for a while, at least a few weeks, and see if it holds up.

So I was looking for a thread on The Passage and there isn't one yet, so I'll just post this here! I read The Passage and loved it. Loved, loved, loved it. It totally deserves a TV show. It's too big for a movie, and there are more in the series (that I haven't read yet).
I'm a little iffy on the way they are doing the show in relation to the book so far though. One half has been super close to the book, and the other is completely different. In the book, the girl is taken in by nuns. And that's a pretty important part. The young nun who takes care of her is SUPER IMPORTANT. Like, she's a major character. Also, the girl is taken at the zoo, where something happens with the animals. That didn't happen at all. It was also a very important building block to the entire story. So I'm not sure what they are doing.

The show looks like it’s sticking to the high points, but taking different routes to move the story along. Yes, the nun storyline is missing, so I’m curious to see how they’ll handle the passage of time. Maybe they’re going to bring her in later or use a different character. Interesting choice that Babcock is a woman. The Amy/Brad actors are doing an outstanding job. There is so much to this story, and plenty to fill multiple seasons. I really hope we get to see it all.

With the positive reviews here, I was going to check The Passage out. Then I looked it up online & saw one word that killed it for me: Vampire. Nope, not interested.

With the positive reviews here, I was going to check The Passage out. Then I looked it up online & saw one word that killed it for me: Vampire. Nope, not interested. It starts with two scientists in the Peruvian highlands tracking hoping to track down cures for diseases. They find a very old man in a cage who ends up escaping and biting one of the scientists. Then it jumps several months or so to the scientists in Project Noah experimenting with this virus they found on condemned prisoners. The virus does make the subjects immune to most diseases but they devolve into mindless, rage monsters. There is a little bit of underlying joke about not calling the infected patients "vampires". This is basically a story about humans screwing themselves and how to survive it.

Watched Episode 2 of Roswell, New Mexico last night. It seemed pretty good until the gratuitous extended sex scenes toward the end. I realize this is pretty much par for a CW show. Young people having sex is one of their things, but I don't need to watch that. I'll give them another week or two, but another set of sex scenes like that & it goes instantly off, never to return.

I am the Night on TNT- Inspired by true events, "I Am the Night" tells the gripping story of Fauna Hodel (India Eisley), a teenage girl who is given away at birth, and grows up outside of Reno, Nevada. Fauna lives more-or-less comfortably with the mysteries of her origin, until one day she makes a discovery that leads her to question everything. As Fauna begins to investigate the secrets of her past, she meets a ruined reporter (Chris Pine), haunted by the case that undid him. Together they follow a sinister trail that swirls ever closer to an infamous Los Angeles gynecologist, Dr. George Hodel (Jefferson Mays), a man involved in some of Hollywood's darkest debauchery, and possibly, its most infamous unsolved crime.
I'm sold!

Into the Badlands has it season and series finale tonight. This is a fun martial arts film.
Supernatural is done for the year.
iZombie is back for it's fifth and last season.
Happy is weird as ever.
The Magicians sublime.
The Amazing Race is back and still amazing.
Charmed reboot is ok.
Legends of Tomorrow still fun.
Legacies better then expected.
Can't wait for Good Bones.
Roswell was watchable as long as you can fast forward through the stupid parts.
Luv'ing Survivor this season.
Shadowhunters on Freeform was cancelled but in enough time that this entire second half of the season is focuses on a decent finale.
One of a Kind was a nice surprise on HGTV and am liking this season of Flip or Flop Vegas. Can't forget Home Town and all the beautiful homes they built for single women of all ages and sizes. If I get told I need to sell my home one more time and move to an apartment because I am single I will scream. Even one of my male co-workers said what do "you need to remodel for you live by yourself". So as a female alone I do not deserve a house with nice finishes because the original builder grade finishes which are not holding up are OK for me but not for anyone else?
A Discovery of Witches on AMC, a nice surprise.

Watching CBS's Blood and Treasure. At first the trailers looked painful and something not too watch. I hate when they get these super skinny actresses with huge thigh gaps you can put a fist through expect the audience to take seriously as an international cat burglar climbing walls, fighting guys 3 times her size, it is not realistic and it rubs me the wrong way. But with not much to do last week I recorded the premier and it actually was pretty good. Yes, it is a bit Indiana Jonesy, yes it is a bit lose in some plot lines and character development but it is better then I expected and after watching episode 3, it is something I can have fun watching. Father Chuck is absolutely great.

I rarely watch NBC shows, but caught the premiere for The InBetween (WED at 10 PM). The concept has been done - a person with psychic power talks to the dead and slips into crime scenes as they happen - but this one captured my attention. It takes place in Seattle where she is the daughter of two fathers and a young "skeptic" joins the Seattle Police Force as the new partner for her Detective dad. Of course, by the end of the episode he is no longer a skeptic and a plot turn suggests he will be asking for her help before long. The actors are personable and the writing believable. I'm giving it a try for the summer.
