Pigging Out - The judges introduce an unusual special guest to the home cooks to inspire the coming challenge; the cooks produce a dish with their own version of homemade sausage in less than an hour.
Enjoy!

Seeing the pig come in when they are making pork sausages reminds me of the scene in ANIMAL FARM. When the pigs take over as leaders, one of the first things they do is bury the hams....respect for the dead.

Not TOO into tonight; I'm not that fond of sausage and it HATES me. At least, it hates my tummy.

Never tried making sausages...I tried making my own ground beef one time and it was terrible (not enough fat). I'll stick with buying them. How is Subha still in this thing? He's always on the brink of disaster but seems to do just enough to make it through.

I'm a terrible person for laughing at Subha's sausage explosion! I just can't help it!

Subha's plate looks ridiculous. Looks like it's got grass clippings around the main course, which kinda resembles canned dog food over rice.

Awww, poor Bri, but her dish really did look pretty underwhelming.
Okay, I'll give Subha some credit for offering Bri comfort when she got back to the lineup. That was nice of him; I think she might have burst into tears otherwise.

Subha's dish was NOT appetizing.
And Bri cries again when they give her negative feedback. Good grief.

What is Joe's issue with garlic bread? Dorian and Micah did great, plating looked good too.

YES! Micah rocked it!! It looked good and plated interestingly. (SHUTUP, Joe!! Aren't they supposed to learn from each week and apply it to future dishes? That's exactly what Micah did; he used a bit of knowledge from last week in his plating without going off the deep end and making abstract art. That thing Grant and Gordon made last night looked ridiculous to me!!!)
They were a LOT nicer to Sarah in their criticism than they were to Bri! Neither dish was pretty, but they pretty much slammed Bri from the moment they opened their mouths and tried to excuse and find positive things to say about Sarah's.
I'm worried Bri's going home and we'll have to see Subha another week!
Ruh roh! Jamie's having a crash & burn! Well, we know who's going home now. Unless Noah actually poisons one of the judges.

Oh, they LOVE Noah's dish! Guess Jamie's gonna be out of here.

Subha's dish was NOT appetizing. And Bri cries again when they give her negative feedback. Good grief. I can see where she's coming from, though. Two weeks in a row she got trashed, then last week did great and still didn't get an honor for it. Then tonight, she came up with something that honestly looked really good to me and the judges slammed her again. And pretty harshly, if you ask me!

Did GR call Joe a F Snob about not serving garlic bread at his restaurant?? Of course he is, so I did laugh. Once you get beyond the bottom layer of people who are mean and cruel, my next most disliked people are those who are cold and pretentious-----just like Joe.
I think they slammed Barbie Bri because there was no taste to her sausage. Did she miss it what they said sausages have to be very highly seasoned? She admitted that there was just salt and pepper because she wanted to make the dish elegant.... Come on-- it is the peasant dish of all peasant dishes---sausage.

I also laughed when Gordon called Joe a food snob. After that, Gordon couldn't stop chuckling.
I came to like Jaime and his story. Hey, he learned how to bake! According to him he is thankful for the new skills.
Joe was also a snob on plating especially for Micha's rustic woodsy look. He got called on that as well. At least Gordon does call him out.

Bri seems like a nice girl, but her very deliberate way of speaking drives me nuts as well as the crying. Toughen up, girlie or you won't make it in the culinary world.
Sorry to see Jamie go.
Each week Subha stays I start to root for him more. I'm a sucker for an underdog I guess.
I think this is Michah's to lose, although there are a few that will give him a run for his money.

Looks like, from the previews, that we will be getting rid of two next week. The mystery box challenge seems to have a loser who is going home rather than a winner with an advantage and then the next day- I would think- is the elimination challenge as usual.

Come on-- it is the peasant dish of all peasant dishes---sausage. Joe is the reason I stopped watching this show. I cannot stand him, to me he may own a lot of restaurants but is a money person who got where he is because of his mom. That may be a harsh criticism but I never thought of him as a chef.. that is just me. I got sucked back in this season and admittedly only watching here and there. Aarón Sanchez I like and Gordon is a bit more palatable on this show as opposed to his others, but Joe is such a tool bag. Ugh.

I also skipped a few seasons because of Joe. When he left, I thought that his business with Mario would be taking up his time, but no loss as far as I was concerned. Now that the Mario situation may have caused a huge decline in business, Joe is back....so did GR do him a favor to help him earn a paycheck?? timing seems like that may be true.
I also agree that GR is far less offensive on this show than on some of his others. I cannot stand him on Hell's Kitchen and refuse to watch that.
