I hope I am not the only one watching this show! I love Sherlock (Johnny Lee Miller), having a female Watson (Lucy Liu), and Aiden Quinn!!!! I really enjoy this show!
The last episode ended with Joan wanting to see a lawyer about adoption, I can't begin to imagine what that would be like for show dynamics! I'm excited to see what becomes of this.

I find it interesting what the character Sherlock has gone through in terms of storyline. We know from the the books (the show was based) about the drug abuse/addiction so that didn't surprise me they have included it, and it is so relevant today. Sherlock's path out from that is a day to day struggle, but the show doesn't try to oversaturate us with it. What I am most intrigued by right now, is the post traumatic concussion Sherlock endured from the Shinwell beating (that beautiful now deceased actor Nelson Ellis from True Blood).
While I have realized how serious a blow to the head is, I didn't realize how physically horrible it would be long term for people that survived it.
I'm glad the show was picked up for at least one more season!

They do a good job of bringing to light things like addictions, Joan's hand problem and now this. They give us back story but don't over-saturate us with them.

I watch! I'm so glad it was moved from Sunday nights. I missed so many episodes because of stupid CBS sports going over and then all the subsequent shows getting bumped.

I had set my DVR to record an extra 2 hours to compensate for sports, but if I can't get to it right away it takes up more space on my DVR that way.

Can I just say I am totally freaked out by that AA serial killer. When Captain Gregson's daughter when into the house, I was shouting: "Lock the door!!!!" I never expected her to see the roommate strangled to death. Then the perp, just calmly drives away. He waited in his car just to hear her scream. At least now Sherlock and Joan will be able to investigate before he kills again. All because the psycho wants to challenge Sherlock and get his attention.

It did seem like Hannah(?) Would be the one in trouble, not the roommate. Hopefully they wrap this storyline up sooner than later. I don't mind one that goes through a season but don't want to see it last longer than that.

I am disappointed that they didn't resolve this episode. Even though the sicko gave his "word" that he wouldn't kill anyone while he was out of town, knowing that the case was solved, but not closed is disturbing. I've never been a fan of "to be continued", but this is stranger than most in that everyone knows "who did it and why" .... they just need the proof. At least from the previews we will get a break and may enjoy a lighter episode next week.

I guess he is this season's nemesis, so they couldn't fully resolve it but allowed the storyline to have a break. I'm glad we're moving on, if only temporarily. Personally I hope they keep it to more lighthearted shows and finish this story arc with only one more episode.

I missed the last few minutes of the show. I walked in when Sherlock was reading a letter that someone had died. Joan asked if it could be that he might have faked his death (since it had been done before). Sherlock said no. Was that his brother Mycroft??? I saw his father in the previews, so I know he is still alive and Sherlock had mentioned earlier wanting to make amends to Mycroft. If that was Mycroft that passed away, it makes me said that he died before Sherlock could resolve and apologize. Anyone watch that part??

Sherlock had just gone through the process (with encouragement from his sponsor and from Joan) to forgive and then hopefully reconcile with his brother. It's really sad that he's unable to do that now.

Sherlock's father is just so scary!!!! Even during the times he is trying to be nice, he is still just plain scary. I don't want to say evil, there have been times when it almost seemed as if he was trying to help Sherlock. But, most of the time he makes Moriarty seem harmless in comparison.
Isn't his father supposed to be dying of some illness? Or, am I getting it confused with some other show?

I'm behind on watching episodes. I just finished watching last week's episode.
I'm originally from Akron, so I loved all the references to there and Stow, which is just north of Akron. They traveled to Akron, the name of the company was Stow-Summit (Summit is the county both Akron and Stow are in), the lady had bulldogs, and bulldog was the codeword for the bad guy (Bulldogs is Stow's mascot). They not only said those things but said each at least a couple of times. I got a little distracted listening for all the references they were throwing out!

I enjoyed this episode, especially after Sherlock assisted Joan in removing the obstacles to her adoption. I enjoyed Joan asking him what name he wanted to be called by her future adoptee, and his acceptance of "Uncle Sherlock", or his suggestion of "Detective". I was also glad that Sherlock was able to succeed in getting the obstacle to affordable drugs, removed. (If only it was as easy in real life.)

I didn't realize that last week CBS aired two New episodes of Elementary, one on Sunday 8.12.18 (How to get a Head); and (Uncanny Valley of the Dolls) on Monday 8.13.18. We have all access, so I have watched the missed Sunday episode already, but if you happened to have also missed it, CBS should make it available to watch online as of Monday 8.20.18. One week after it aired. If you have All Access you can watch immediately. I hope they don't make this a habit! I realize this may (or may not ) be the last season to air, but, it doesn't help viewers to air episodes on different nights then what they are expecting.

My DVR recorded it but unfortunately I didn't think to lengthen the time because of the golf game so it didn't record all of it. I was able to watch that Sunday episode already, not sure if I watched it on Monday or Tues but it was earlier in the week.

I really like this show. It is sooooo much better than "Sherlock" by the BBC; I find some (most?) of their story lines so over-the-top that they are hard to watch. Jonny Lee Miller is able to make the character eccentric and socially awkward but likeable; the Sherlock in "Sherlock" is just obnoxious. Love that Watson is a woman! I'll be interested to see if Marcus actually leaves to go to the marshall's service.

Welcome cms!!! Like you, I really enjoy this show! Unfortunately, I believe this is the last season of Elementary. ( I also love Johnny and Lucy, and appreciate the shift by CBS to cast a female Watson). I don't know whether it will end with Marcus leaving or not; but I remember reading somewhere that CBS gave them this season to resolve storylines. I would love it if another network would pick up the show. I am amazed at all of the creative and intriguing writing each season. There has never been a moment for me when I thought the show was losing my interest. So, am sad to know this is final season. But, unlike you, I did enjoy the PBS version of Sherlock. I agree that some of the creative writing was a bit over the top, but I enjoyed it nevertheless. When I first learned that the PBS version was done, I was disappointed. But, now even though I don't miss it; I would watch it again if they brought it back.

I finally caught up last week's episode. I can't watch this show when I watch other shows. I can't watch it when I'm eating...too much gore. I can't watch it right before before...too gruesome. It sure makes it hard to watch! I do like that they moved it to a summer show, and on Monday evenings. I hated it on Sundays because sports messed up the times so often. I'm glad to hear they've given them time to wrap up storylines.

Thanks for the welcome! I just googled and found an article that says that CBS has renewed it for season 7. Yeah!

So glad their will be another season, I guess running it during the summer must have helped ratings. I'm also glad that the serial killer is dead. I don't believe Joan finished him, but I trust Sherlock to find out who did. My guess would be the father of the kid sponsored and murdered by the serial killer.

I guess when they filmed the Finale for tonight's episode, they didn't know that the show would be renewed for a 7th season. Episode 21 (Season 6) felt as if that was the End. But, now we will be able to enjoy Season 7 crimes solved abroad. I guess they could travel the world now. Sad to not see Marcus and the Captain anymore, but I wonder if Kitty will show up once in awhile?

I’m enjoying this season! Surprised that the Captain didn’t come out of coma and confess to his daughter’s crime, but I’m glad Sherlock is able to stay in US, for the moment. I don’t like what the Assistant FBI Director did to allow Sherlock a reprieve, framing another criminal for the murder.
Truthfully, I’ve always thought Gregson’s daughter would confess to the murder eventually.
