Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
Wow, what good movie. I do think you can watch it without knowing too much about the Marvel Universe and what happened in other movies. There are some scenes that are priceless especially if you understand how they relate to certain other films but you really do not need that knowledge.
Underlying themes are about family, and how grief can distort how you function. There is subplot about the current generation and how despite being very well educated you can be stuck with where you want to go in life and also balancing enjoying were you are now vs family pressures and obligations. The are a lot of good action scenes. Overall a fun film, visually exciting, and fun visual effects.
No swearing, no nudity, no blood and gore, so good for the family, fans of Marvel, and anybody who wants to see something fresh and new.
The movie is a solid 2 hours long. There are 12 minutes of credit and as per usual there are two extra scenes.

Finished it yesterday and all I have to say is Wow. Just wow. What a beautiful, amazing movie. Watching that scene with Tony Leung when he fights his wife for the first time is like watching a Masterclass in chemistry and dance because it was beautiful. In fact, all the fight scenes are amazing. I felt bad for Tony Leung's character because he wasn't a villain after all; just a man who thought he had found peace in another way of living whose past caught up with him in the most horrible way possible who was driven mad with grief and wanted his wife back in any way possible. This movie hit me hard on so many levels; I was in tears for the last half-hour. Definitely a must-see.

I've seen it twice on Disney+ and want to see it a third time. One of my favorite scenes is the #2 California bus fight and all the character reactions. Then there is Awkafina and her Karaoke addiction. Her character is a real treat.
Who knew Iron Man 3 would be represented by Trevor. I laughed out loud at his introduction after I picked my jaw up off the floor.
I also loved the dance/fight scenes.

Great stuff, that actor did the scene on the bus himself!
