Prajje truly has nine lives...He has escaped dismissal more times than anybody else.
Not sorry to see Korto go. She did launch a bitter goodbye. I would think that PR did help her business but she sounded like it ruined her life. I am guessing that she did think she would or should be the winner.
She had so many complaints but the one that annoyed me the most ( and she has annoyed me over the entire season) was that her name has been pronounced wrong....I guess the "k" is supposed to have a special twist to it.
Not sorry to see the queen gone.

I was worried about Rami when they seemed not to see the over-sized in his design, but then he was in the top three. I think Korto's attitude on the runway may have sunk her or perhaps she figured she was going down anyway and decided to use her last runway to make a stand. I'm not sorry to see her go instead of Bishme, as she seemed so unhappy to be there, but Bishme's design was pretty terrible, too. The idea was an interesting one--viewing the hoodie as basic and then making it bold--but the design really wasn't there and didn't suit his model. I like Bishme and would be more interested in seeing more of his work than more of Korto's, mostly because we've already seen more of Korto's---isn't this like her third time on PR?---but this was not his finest moment design-wise.
I was thinking last night that since they're all-stars, maybe they should have a challenge where they think they're going to be allowed to do whatever they like and then they have to switch the materials they got at Mood with someone else's, so they have to shift out of their comfort zones. Obviously, I wouldn't make that a one day challenge, though, as they'd have to have some time to rethink their designs, given their new materials.
Speaking of materials, I wasn't keen on Brittany getting a bunch of material from Laurence at the last minute to make her design look a little more modest. I guess it's not against the rules because she did it right in front of Christian, but maybe it should be. Bishme had to rethink what he was doing because of the materials he had on hand. So did Rami, once Christian reacted negatively to the brocade. Just because Brittany was lucky enough that Laurence had material that would work for her that she was willing to part with, should she be allowed to grab it? I don't dislike Brittany. I'm just not sure that's fair, so maybe the rules should be adjusted to prevent it.
Did like the idea of this challenge overall, though. It was creative and new and a real challenge for All Stars.

What I like about this episode was the fact that it showed the extremely tight bond between all the contestants. Also, Prajjie is funny as hell, I LOVED his one liners:
"I LOVE the goddamn Golden Girls!"
"Bishme, why are you over there looking like you just missed your bus? And it was the last one running?"
I also enjoyed seeing them relax and roast each other while getting drunk after working that day.
This group also seems more prone to helping each other (ie: Korto giving Brittany some of her vinyl to help her outfit). Also, Laurant's model is AMAZING; she sold an already terrific look with her walk and poise. She and Mimi are the best models on the show. It's getting to the point where it's extremely hard to see anyone go home, and it's going to get harder as the weeks go by. I pretty much liked everyone's output this week, but at this point it's the small details that are tripping people up, and in some cases is amounting to personal taste; while I loved Prajjie's look, the judges were less than thrilled. I also liked Kortos (especially the billowy pants) but that brocade killed it. I was on the fence about Rami's, Bishme's was "just okay" and after looking at it for a while I really liked Brittanys design; the top two were well-deserved. Korto confronting the judges about their wishy washy judgement might have been a lot but in a way I don't blame her; they are wildly inconsistent, and another thing I took in consideration is the fact that even though we're watching the challenges on a weekly basis they are doing challenges back to back with only a day long break like every other week. No one's getting sleep, everyone is tired, and if you already have an extremely low tolerance for BS, well...i understand. I've also noticed that there's people that really don't like it when certain people are outspoken, and quite frankly so much discourse about Korto veers into "she's uppity" territory, which for many reasons is extremely offputting. I did think it was very nice that she told the other designers at the end to go for it and that working with them was the prize in itself. The aftershow with Christian was also interesting.

I'm not a fan of the after-shows. Waste of my time. I also think Bishme's look was clearly the worst, but the judges prefer him to continue.

I did think it was very nice that she told the other designers at the end to go for it and that working with them was the prize in itself. The aftershow with Christian was also interesting. I can understand why Korto wanted to say what she said. I just felt that anyone saying something like that to the judges who are about to decide who's going home....well, it just might not be the wisest choice when you're at the point where the smallest thing might tip the scales in someone else's favor. But maybe she was just too tired or discouraged or whatever at that moment to care anymore. She did mention at the top of the episode that she was hit hard by Kara Saun leaving as she felt KS was the one who was always supporting everyone else etc., so maybe that dampened her mood. I don't know. I just recall Korto seeming happier somehow with being on the show in previous seasons. I would imagine it's hard for anyone who's at all competitive by nature to keep coming back multiple times and still not winning. I also didn't particularly like the outfit she created this time out, but I have liked other things she's made this season and on previous seasons. The brocade just didn't help the design of those pants at all. In fact, it kind of made it hard to see the details of the pants, which also completely overwhelmed the jacket. It felt like both Bishme and Korto had interesting ideas that they just didn't bring to fruition. Actually, I felt the same way about Prajje's orgami technique. The idea itself was really cool, but it wasn't all that edgy. It made sense to me that he and Rami basically both fell in the middle--not top two, but not bottom two either, Rami being the odd one out in the top three and Prajje being the first one called safe in the bottom three.

I just finished the episode, and am very glad to see Korto go, because of her attitude not her clothes. She took huge offense at the "basic" comment from last week, and couldn't get over it. Even after several people tried to explain that it didn't mean "boring" she wouldn't listen, and just wanted to be mad about it. I even thought it was such a throwaway comment he made on their way out last week, not something they hammered home to her when judging her, but she latched onto it and got offended forever about it . She was rude and snippy, and just didn't seem all that happy all season. So, bye. I'm glad Rami was in, even though he didn't display one of his words very well (oversized)-- because they let Brittany through when one of her words wasn't displayed at all (modest)! Both were pretty, but both did not fit into the challenge's limits, so I'm glad they didn't win or lose. Laurance's look was beautiful and very well done. I thought it would be more jump-suit-ish, to look more trendy, but in the end it was gorgeous. She deserved the win, and I agree that her model was perfect. Bishme's look wasn't good, and he knew it. At least he didn't stand up there trying to defend it and getting all sassy! I'm glad he gets to stick around, because I think he's talented and I also just like his personality. He and Prajje are funny! Next week looks like a menswear challenge, and the judging has some pretty funny observations from the judges!! Can't wait.

I thought Brittany's use of floor length, long sleeved, and high neck see- through fabric to illustrate modest was very clever.
I did laugh when I noticed that elaine was wearing a cross wrapped white top similar to the Prajje/Brittany issue. Wonder if that was intentional.

Wow. I'm really shocked that Korto was eliminated. I was really wrong because when I saw her look, I thought she would win. I really loved Brittany's, and Laurence is flawless. I too, would like to know how you get in and out of that jumpsuit.
Also, kudos to the lighting design because so many shows don't know how to light dark skin, and this show really does. Beautiful on these different skin tones.
I liked Korto's speech at the end, and made me emotional. I also do think her being annoyed at the judges might have tipped the scales a bit because Praje's was a mess. I was surprised that Rami was safe. Of all the looks that they thought was a snore from him, they liked this one? Huh. I can see why Korto said that she was getting mixed signals.

One of the things I noticed about Laurence is no matter what model she gets the clothes are tailored to the gods, and fits fantastically. She makes it look effortless, which is a gift.
NGL, I was disappointed in Rami because he can do so much better than that; I think the lack of sleep and doing challenges back to back is getting to them all. Still, I'm glad he and Prajjie were safe.

I think Rami was likely a bit surprised to be in the top three himself. He seemed resigned to the fact that he might go home for a lack of "oversized" in his look but content that if he did go home, at least it would be for a design that still looked good. Really, with only six left, I don't know why they had a top three and a bottom three. Unless those scores were incredibly close, they knew that Rami and Prajji were basically safe. They weren't going to win or lose. So just call them safe and speed up getting to the final decisions. Did nothing else happen at Mood, in the workroom, or having post-workroom drinks that they couldn't use up those extra minutes covering that?

What the top and bottom looks get is a critique. Safe looks not at all. It is only fair this close to the end that everybody hears what the judges liked or didn't like.... ...so maybe that was why all 6 were either top or bottom. I agree that it was pretty much 2-2-2 although Rami's looks was much more successful than Prajje's in illustrating their words. I preferred that Rami do what he did, rather than some grotesquely oversized sleeve.

Not sorry to see the queen gone. I'm way behind in watching this season, but I remember this was an issue back in season 5 too. I think it's supposed to sound like "KUTT-HO" more that "KOR-TOH" but I don't remember the K-sound being a thing. Heidi was good about pronouncing it right back then. I'll have to catch up with this season...

I don't think there was actually a problem with mispronouncing it this season. When she talked about it on the most recent episode, she was talking about how she used to not stand up for herself and didn't push it when people would mispronounce her name, but now she has a strong sense of self and stands up for herself in situations like that--something along those lines. I don't remember her saying anything about the K pronunciation. I thought it was more the distinction you mentioned.

I really disliked Prajje's and Rami's looks, and while Bishme had a cool idea, the execution was poor. I liked Korto's look - but she definitely has some issues.
