I am getting myself all hyped up for season 2 by watching Traitors Australia. I have watched Traitors, Traitors UK and just got part way thru Traitors Australia as I felt it dragged and had extra long episodes. So I decided I had better go back and finish Australia. I still had to fast forward a bit but am on episode 7. I really hate it when a group has targeted a person and during an immunity challenge they don't attempt to eliminate that person from immunity.Like duh! It's not as if the targeted person doesn't realize they are are target.

The editing isn't quite as heavy as on our US version (challenges timing, etc.).

I have watched UK, Australia, USA & Canada first seasons back when they came out. Out of the 3 I liked Australia the best. I think because it was completely differnet than the other 2 versions. The same castle and most comps were re-used in both UK & USA seasons. I found it a little boring knowing what comps were going to happen on the USA version after watching UK first. Canada version was filmed in Quebec and had new comps but the players were not very good. I did like seeing Big Brother Canada players on the show. But only having 1 show each week made it a long season.
I just binge watched season 2 of Australia and love it!!! I liked how they sped up the breakfast and comps by doing spilt screen showing people coming in to breakfast and doing the comps. I find in the other versions that the show drags so much watching person after persom come into the breakfast and the others over the top reactions. I want to see more game talk between the people. The ending was a shocker!!!! I also feel that Sam was one of the best traitors from any of the countries.
Then I moved on to binge watch New Zealand Season 1 and I enjoyed it too. This one (like Australia) was not filmed at the Scotland castle and it had new comps. I did think the prize was very low compared to the other shows.
Now I am watching UK S2 and USA S2 in real time. I wish they dropped more shows of the USA version each week. Waiting a week for the next one to drop is too long and killing me. The UK version drops 3 each week. I love all the familar faces on USA S2 and that is why it most likely doing so well in the ratings and has already been picked up for a 3rd season. Again not liking repeat comps. I do like in USA version that several shields can be won at each comp instead of the luck of picking the right box in armorary.
All in all I like the Traitors but I think it needs to change it up a bit and add new twists. Traitors have such an advantage in this game. I was watching a podcast and Tyson (Survior) was on it. They were talking about how useless the comps really were because in the UK & USA versions the very last comp gets them all the money they didn't win in the previous comps. He suggested that the comps not be for winning more gold for the pot but for clues to who the Traitors are. I thought that was interesting and might even the playing field somewhat.

I like season 1 of Australia probably the best; I didn’t find it slow. Season 2 was frustrating as the faithful were so easily swayed but the final was good.
Canada was ok. I liked the host (great outfits). New Zealand was also ok.
The UK is probably my favourite overall. I love Claudia and they have a good mix of contestants.
US is probably my least favourite as I don’t like it being all “celebrities.” Well, I’m ok with the contestants who’ve been on competitive shows like Survivor or Big Brother. But I don’t like the housewives or the other non-competitive show people really. Though actually Phaedra has been entertaining. And I like Alan as host and his over-the-top ways.
The challenges are fine. I read that they were to serve as a mental health break of sorts for the contestants - give them time off from the paranoia of the castle. I like that they’ve made getting a shield(s) part of the challenge now as opposed to having the winning team go to the armoury.

He suggested that the comps not be for winning more gold for the pot but for clues to who the Traitors are. I thought that was interesting and might even the playing field somewhat. Tyson can be a bit of a know it all. Yes he won Survivor and many of the Survivor players don't realize but they display such an arrogance in other games because of the physical hardships they had to endure on their home show. On top of that Tyson is a very abrasive personality. I did not look forward to seeing him on The Challenge USA 1 but surprisingly for the first 4 or 5 episodes I totally enjoyed him but then the constantly I know better then anyone else attitude raised it's ugly head. I listened to his podcasts during the Challenge USA 1 and he trashed production constantly. He is very good at telling production how they messed up and he is very good at trashing other people's game play. Tyson you quit the Challenge Final on the last checkpoint and you took everyone but the two winners (male + female) with you.
Production will probably have to make some adjustments to the game. I do agree the breakfast scenes on AUS dragged. You can see on USA 2 they have changed that up and it is faster. While I enjoined the camp of the USA versions. The UK were wickedly cut throat.

He made a huge mistake going for Kieran. And I was so happy Kieran outed him. I have to say...he deserved it. The UK season 1 was fun much more brutal than USA 1. I do think the Traitors got too ambitious with getting each other out instead of concentrating on staying safe and misdirecting the Faithful.
I am thoroughly enjoying Phaedra's style of play on USA 2, I think her fellow Traitors think they can control her but do you notice how she sits and waits for them to make suggestions and strokes their ego by saying what a good idea it is.
I have never seen Phaedra before so I have no knowledge of how she behaves on her Bravo show I am only basing my opinion on what I have seen on Traitors USA 2.

UK 2 just dropped the first three episodes on Peacock.
Luv the Harry Potter vibe with the owl and the train.
Luv how they go for this darker more sinister vibe with the dark rolling clouds and the almost funeral music.
Everyone is so much more into the game play.
Like that they have a lot of older players in their 50's and 60's unlike the USA shows where only the plastic surgery botox Only Fans Instagram models get past casting.
Already disliking the insurance broker.

I don't know if anyone ever wonders where the cast/contestants stay since no one stays at the Castle.... but, I was curious. They all stay at the Courtyard by Marriott which is just 8.7 miles from the Castle. Where The Traitors Stay

Traitors UK 2 - Episode 1 Started like season 1, a lot of Harry Potter vibes with and owl, and the cast meeting each other at a train station and on a old coal fired train. The music reads more murder mystery. The cast is asked to line up in the courtyard from who thinks they will win to who thinks they will be murdered first. How many contestants are in The Traitors UK? 22 contestants will take part in The Traitors, battling it out for the chance at the cash prize of up to £120,000. Who's in The Traitors season 2 cast? Andrew (45), Talbolt Green - Insurance Broker Anthony (45), Birmingham - Chess Coach Ash, (45), London - Events Coordinator Aubrey, (67), Loughborough, Leicestershire - Retired Shop Owner Brian, (33), Glasgow - Photographer Charlie, (34), Bristol - Mental Health Area Manager Charlotte (32), Warwickshire - Recruitment Manager Diane, (63), Lancashire - Retired Teacher Evie, (29), Inverness - Veterinary Nurse Harry, (22), Slough - British Army Engineer Jasmine, (26), London - Sales Executive Jaz (30) Manchester - National Account Manager Jonny (31), Bedfordshire - Ex-Military Kyra (21), Kent - Apprentice Economist Meg (22), Herefortshire - Illustrator Miles (36), Birmingham (now lives in Worcestershire) - Veterinary Nurse Mollie (21), Bristol - Disability Model Paul (36), Manchester - Business Manager Ross (28), Lancashire - Video Director Sonja (66), Lancashire - Volunteer Business Mentor Tracey (58), Inverness - Sonographer and Clairvoyant Zack (27), London - Parliamentary Affairs Advisor Day One: cast gets to explore the castle and get to know each other and they have the first Round Table where Claudia picks the traitors. No murders tonight, but the three traitors meet and have to pick a forth person to be a traitor. Day Two: The cast meets for breakfast and goes on a mission. This is a duplicate of the USA 2 mission where they have 40 minutes to free themselves from poles, find a diagram that shows the assembled puzzle piece, row in boats in the loch to collect the puzzle pieces. There were three shields. Everyone who had a shield revealed it. The group goes back to the castle and discuss the day. The episode ends with the fourth traitor taking the oath from Claudia. There seem to be a lot of commercials which break up the pacing. Impressions: Traitors: Paul seemed to self satisfied that he got picked a traitor. I think he will let the power go to his head, it seems too already. Ash seems very calm and centered. Harry carries a nervous energy.
Faithful: Just who stood out episode 1
Aubrey is telling everyone how observant he is, not a good idea. Diane is very sharp and playing hard from the start. Sonja may look like Miss Marple but she enjoys a bit of pot stirring.
Really like the age range of the contestants, in a USA cast you would not have so many older folks in their 50's & 60's so that is good to see. Funny how the ones the Traitors are more scared of are the older cast.

Traitors UK 2 - Episode 2
The big difference between the UK and USA productions is that the USA production really showed a lot of the mission and the cast running around the castle making bird call noises. They also showed the ones outside the castle running around getting lost and doing the bird calls. It was fun. The USA version showed who got the Shields the UK didn't. I also don't understand why the Brits kept revealing who had the Shield. Many of the Brit cast were verbally resentful of folks who had Shields.
The Brit Round Table was more contentious, they voted for Sonja, Anthony, Diane, Ross, and Zach. A lot of people's names were thrown out.
With 4 traitors there is a lot to pick apart at the Traitors Tower. Maybe too much.
Anthony I did think was very sour grapes that Diane targeted him and was very defensive, but others also noted that. For someone who is a chess coach he was coming across more angry young man.

Traitors UK 2 - Episode 3 The scarecrows and the questions. Again this big issue with getting or not getting a shield and then telling everyone you have one.
Oh my gosh these folks are a mess just like the first Round Table they are voting all over the place.
There is a three way tie between Brian, Ash, and Diane.
New rule, in case of a tie there will be a re-vote but the players can only for Brian, Ash, and Diane. Brian, Ash, and Diane cannot vote.
If no one is picked than it will be decided by fate.
Ash is shocked that her fellow Traitors voted for her. Paul is cruel saying she is playing a bad traitor.
Bastards ended in a Cliffhanger on the final vote.

Traitors UK 2 - Episode 4 Wow, a twist they didn't use in the USA version, the traitors have to condemn 4 people to the dungeon, one can be saved, one will be murdered. Paul & Ash decide to be put in the dungeon with Andrew & Meg. Paul is getting a lot of confessionals and he is coming across arrogant. Both Paul and Harry voted for their fellow Ash at the previous Round Table. Ash is furious with both. She feels it is way too early for traitors to vote out traitors. I wonder if Paul and Harry have talked and coordinated their efforts. That is the problem right now. Are these folks talking and coordinating their efforts? Both Traitors and Faithful seem to be running around like headless chickens, at least on the USA show their seemed to be groups formed and their voting seemed way more coordinated. The Mission is the run across the bridges with gold nuggets. This was used much later in the USA version. Here there are two teams and the team with the most nuggets gets to choose who they want to save from the dungeon. Harry and Miles are on the same team and Harry wants to save Paul. All the players are voicing their suspicions that at least one or two players in the dungeon are traitors focusing on Ash and Meg. Paul's name is being thrown out by Zach and Jaz as being super confident.
mmmm....Andrew was saved, but he doesn't know it. All the dungeon inmates are being released for the Round Table. Paul is starting to be targeted.
Hated that Ash did not defend herself better. When Paul attacked her she should have attacked right back.
note: Traitors are not allowed to murder fellow Traitors.
They left the episode as a cliffhanger which I thought was stupid. They should have shown if the person voted out was a Traitor or Faithful. It would have been the proper epic ending to the day.

Traitors UK 2 - Episode 5 Of the 4 players condemned to the dungeon, one was saved from murder, one got voted out, one will be murdered, the remaining will be under suspicion.
Really, really, no one thinks it is Paul because they all like him!
Well, Jaz and Evie do.
Mission: Build a catapult and fire it.
Again a mish mash of talk and then the Round Table with Jonny, Anthony, and Zach being targeted. To be honest I truly do not get why people are voting who they are voting for as you really don't see to much of any kind of cohesion among the players.
Don't like that the Traitors are targeting only women.
Do like that people are questioning Paul. I just hope some of the other players bring it up more.

Traitors UK 2 - Episode 6 the halfway mark out of 12 episodes
Mission: Running around the graveyard at night.
Round Table again lots of names. Antony and Zach have been in the headlights from the very beginning just because they are big personalities and talk over each other. Zach comes across as a pot stirrer.
Did anyone look at Paul's face after the reveal and see how gleeful he is?
Harry is very contemptuous of his fellow players implying they are stupid.
It's Poison Chalice night.
Oh, no they targeted someone I liked and hoped would go far in the game.

Traitors UK 2 - Episode 7 Mission: Funeral March Very much like the USA 2 version, but Alan Cumming in his outfits just adds so much panache. The murder victim whispers to people near by if they are killed than it was this person. Unfortunately the poison chalice got two victims this episode the giver and the drinker. That was one epic Round Table - beautifully done. What is interesting is that people don't pay attention and not everyone hears what a person says, or only hear a part of it. Two of the traitors are very good a planting seeds one and two round tables prior to banishing a person. But it does seem that one traitor always lets it get to his or her head too soon and they start to target their fellow traitors too soon or go for a certain person to banish too hard.
Tower Time - recruit or murder?

Traitors UK 2 - Episode 8
Be careful who you recruit.
Mission: Glass targets in a church & crossbow bolts. Even the Brits can't shoot.
Find a spot to sit and still hear all the conversations.
Another epic Round Table.

Traitors UK 2 - Episode 9
Mission: Cabin in the Woods
I am surprised they didn't divide the underground team into 3 groups of 2 to try to get each gold coin separately and to save time.
All the men were screaming. That was funny.
The only original traitor remaining is getting too cocky, he doesn't have his meat shields. Shocked that the others didn't immediately suspect him.
Wonder if the Shield Plan will work?
Two more episodes to go with what looks like three missions. The nets in the woods, something here, and the boat.
