Traitors Australia 2 and New Zealand 1 dropped on Peacock on March 28, 2024.
Season 2 Episode 1
I started watching Australia 2 with a bit of trepidation as season 1 was 12 episodes long but all the episodes were over and hour and for me the season dragged until about episode 6. Season 2 starts with celebrities and newbies, I don't know any of them so they are all newbies to me. I do recognize Luke from Survivor Australia that I watched for about 10 minutes. He has a very abrasive attitude very much like Tyson from American Survivor and The Challenge USA 1.
Season 1 had 12 episodes and season 2 will have 9 episodes.
What is different? The editing/pacing.
The episode is still a bit over an hour. Players meet at various spots and have a chance to talk in small groups before getting to the house/resort/castle. There is a lot of meet and greet, there are no long monologues about the person, their background, or how they plan to play. Lots of drinks though. The traitors are picked and good thing everyone is wearing a mask as two of the traitors are very dramatic when they are picked.
They are divided into two teams with the red and blue track suits and go on mission/challenge. I luv'ed this mission. The teams had to haul up replicas of a trojan horse up a hill, light it on fire, release the burning trojan horse into a pair of castle gates. Great Fun.
Mission Synopsis: Trojan Horses
The contestants were split into 2 teams of 10. 6 members of each team must race up a hill and clear the debris placed along the path of a Trojan horse along the way. Once they have reached the top of the hill, the other 4 will then winch the horse up. Someone will then run down the hill to light their torch, run back up and set the horse on fire, while a last person severs the rope securing the burning horse with an axe and sends it crashing downhill. Each team that completes the mission in 20 minutes earns A$20,000 for the pot, and the faster team would gain access to the Armoury.
Prize Earned: A$40,000 out of A$40,000
The winning team gets to go into the armory and one will get a shield and be safe from the first murder. I don't like the armory bit to get a shield as it really slows down the pace of the show, but editors go through this process much, much faster than on season 1.
The Traitors meet for the first time and quickly decide on 3 names. They don't pick the most obvious as 3 people during the day caused a lot of rumors to fly about.
The next morning breakfast scene was quick, thank you, I really liked that they did that quickly. The murder caused a lot of chaos and the Round Table ended up with a lot of accusations and the last person I thought of went home.
Again the Traitors meet and names thrown out.
Previews for episode 2 were shown. This is the problem with the Traitors as their egos can get so large that they go after each other.
Very good first episode.

Season 2 Episode 2 Everyone is shocked at breakfast. Again the Breakfast Scene is fast paced with multiple screens really like that. Also like that we get to know one or two players better each episode so far.
Mission Synopsis: Pyramid Scheme
The contestants were split into 2 teams (1 with 9 members and the other 8), each with 2 rowers, 2 runners and the rest builders. The rowers will retrieve 11 scattered pyramid puzzle pieces from a lake and deliver them to the runners on shore, who will then carry the pieces to the builders. The builders can only start when all the pieces have been delivered, and each team that completes their pyramid and tops it with their flag before the 20 minute time limit earns A$16,000. The faster team would also gain access to the Armoury.
Prize Earned: A$16,000 out of A$32,000 While there are still two teams, The Red and The Blue, the team members are shuffled from episode 1 so it is different people each time on a team. Who volunteers to row a boat and doesn't know how to row a boat and sinks it? Too funny. Wow, shocked that one of the Traitors goes full bore trying to target another Traitor and it blows up. Dums Dums got the wrong one again.

Season 2 Episode 3 Again another shock at breakfast, why that person. However one Traitor finds out another they are the target of another Traitor. Mission Synopsis: Church Match
The 15 contestants were divided into 2 teams (1 with 7 members and the other with 8). Each team selected one member to be locked into a coffin with 5 padlocks. Each round, 1 member from each team would run to a confessional booth and listen to a riddle from Rodger. They then had to convey the riddle to the rest of their group and solve it collectively, locating an item or symbol they had to find from amongst the congregation, who would then hand them a key that unlocked a padlock (worth A$2,000 for the pot). The faster team each round would win the key, and the team that unlocked their coffin first would gain access to the Armoury.
Prize Earned: A$16,000 out of A$18,000 Both Traitors are gunning for the other. Where will it end?
Shots fired at the Round Table and a Traitor is banished but I don't think it was well done as the other Traitor didn't give any reasons just tried to bully people to vote a certain way.
Recruit or Murder tonight?
It was mentioned that it was only two days of playing the game at this point by one of the players.

Season 2 Episode 4
Mission Synopsis: Minesweeper
The 13 contestants were divided into 1 team of 6 and 1 team of 7. Each round, a pair from each team would have 90 seconds to crawl through a 'minefield' and find a 'mine' containing a true statement about the game. If they were correct, the 'mine' would contain a silver bar (A$2,000); if they were wrong, the 'mine' would instead blow up. The first team to find 4 correct statements would progress to the Shield Mission.
Prize Earned: A$14,000 out of A$14,000
Shield Mission: Target Practice (Annabel, Gloria, Liam, Luke, Sam, Sarah & Simone)
The contestants took turn to fire flaming arrows at ships, with each having one of their names written on the sail. A successful hit would set the ship alight and eliminate the contestant it corresponded to. The last contestant standing would win the Shield.
No recruitment. One traitor's ego is getting WAY TOO BIG.
I do think anyone would enjoy the role of Traitor, to have that much power over people but wow, do people let it get in their heads and get so overly confident and arrogant.
Two people are on to this person I hope they are successful in their Traitor Hunt.
These people are seriously very bad players. Annabelle and Luke are trying to get a group together to target someone and Liam wants to do his own game again and go after Ian. Liam and Ian end up going after each other arguing and making themselves targets.
Sometimes it is best to go with a group as there is safety in numbers and the traitors won't necessarily target you but a maybe a bigger voice in the group.
Liam was given the opportunity to go after someone last week and said he would and then went rogue he did it again this week. Good thing he has the shield.

Season Episode 5
Mission Synopsis: Touchy Subjects
The 11 contestants were split into 1 team of 5 and 1 team of 6. The teams took turns being strapped into torture devices (either Chinese water torture or an electric chair). A question would then be asked (e.g. 'Who is most likely to be recruited?', requiring both a contestant in the devices as well as the other team to answer with the same name, in order to earn A$2,000. A wrong answer would instead see all the torture devices activated. Any contestant that managed a successful match with their answers would also gain Armoury access.
Prize Earned: A$12,000 out of A$22,000
Annabelle has figured out who the Traitors out but unfortunately it all turned on her as previous players have said you are all a bunch of Dumb Dumbs.
I just hope the Traitors turn on each other.
The Faithful are so bad at this game.

Season 2 Episode 6
Mission Synopsis: Silver Relay
The 9 contestants were given the opportunity to win back A$28,000 lost on previous missions, in addition to base maximum prize of A$20,000. They had 30 minutes to transport as many silver bars (each worth A$2,000) as they could, one at a time in heavy backpacks, up a steep slope before returning to the start to retrieve more bars. Rodger and Dan were also stationed at the midpoint offering refreshments and temptations (such as beers and Armoury access) at A$2,000 from the prize fund each.
Prize Earned: A$18,000 out of A$48,000
I wonder if it is a cultural thing? There have been two female players who very strongly defended themselves that on the USA shows would convince folks they were innocent yet on the Aussie show because they strongly defend themselves that means they are traitors.
Also the minute a younger male player who is kinda quiet at first and everyone likes is a traitor but no one believes it.
This group is a bunch of Dum Dums.
