Falafels made from Trader Joe's mix and Trader Joe's tahini. How is the falafel mix, Cootie? It's good! The dry mix was easy and had just the right balance of spices for my taste. I made a lemon tahini sauce with this recipe:
Ingredients
1/2 cup sesame tahini. 2 to 4 large cloves garlic. 4 to 5 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice. 2 to 6 tablespoons water. 3/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste. 1/8 teaspoon cayenne (optional)

Mmmm....I think we're going to have falafel tonight; there's this restaurant in my city that makes the best falafel sandwiches I've ever had, plus they are cheap. I have a friend who is vegan who lives in Portland who goes there whenever she comes to my city because she can't find any that is comparable there.

I had some sort of Korean noodle dish with shallots and seafood in it. It was literally a ton of food so we bought a bunch home. I'm going to be eating off this for at least a couple of days.

New recipe for me tonight. Chicken and roasted poblano peppers and lime enchiladas. The last of our fresh garden produce was put to use. It took hours to make this dish so we ate after 8PM. I'm looking forward to leftovers tomorrow!

I'm trying to decide on picking up BBQ on the way home, ordering a pizza, or being good and eating something at home. I've been having terrible acid reflux for over a month so I shouldn't have pizza or BBQ but I want it! It's been too long since I had it. Besides, I've been having acid reflux even when I try to eat right so I might as well eat what I want.
Wednesday is my day to treat myself while I watch Survivor.

This is for dinner tonight
Throw in the pot soup
A couple cans of chili beans, couple cans of ranch style beans, can of corn, can of cannelini beans, can of kidney beans, can of pinto beans, can of diced tomatoes, can of rotel, couple of diced onions, package of onion soup mix and a big box of beef broth and browned ground beef, throw it in a pot and call it soup. That's what I did at my house for supper and some fried cornbread.
I sautee my onions first and have my ground beef cooked and seasoned and then throw the rest in and let it cook away. Mine simmered most of the day but you don't have to let it cook that long.

nennie, my soup was sort of like yours. Cooked in a crockpot: chicken thighs, black beans, tomato, corn, onion, bell peppers, spices, a bit of chipotle and lime. Served with avocado slices. It cooked for about 4 hours and made the house smell great!

Pork roast with roasted cauliflower and potatoes. The vegetables are coated with tumeric, cumin, garlic powder, pepper and smoked paprika. The house smells pretty amazing. I'm cooking caramelized apples and onions to put on the pork roast. I've had a few tastes and it's good!
ETA - the verdict is in and we both loved this meal

We enjoyed our meal from last night so much that we got to have it again in the form of leftovers. Minus the cauliflower. We had broccoli from our garden instead.
