We had quiche. The way we do it is I prep mini pie shells and different ingredients, and then people make their own with what they like. It works well but it's A LOT of work for me, and I'm not super fond of quiche :/ I don't know why. Maybe I'm just not a fan of baked egg unless it's in a souffle!!

Stir fry with garden grown vegetables! I love this time of year with dinner growing right outside. With some chicken thighs from Costco added in.

Chicken marsala, mashed potatoes, lima beans, and biscuits. I should try lima beans again. I hated them as a kid, so I've never bothered. But I also hated Brussels sprouts and I took the plunge and roasted some last year and they were so good that they've become an at-least-once-a-month vegetable. Wednesday is salad night at casa burntbrat. Tonight's salad was Cobb. We all wondered why a Cobb salad is so named, but alas, we don't have a Google home or Alexa to provide these answers while we're eating. (rofl)

How bout putting a souffle into a quiche pie shell? Sounds very delicious to me!

I'm jealous! It's so hot already around here, there will be no soup for another 6 months at least

I had cereal for supper, the last of my Frosted Berry Shredded Wheat. It's too hot to warm the kitchen up by cooking. Plus, I had vanilla soy milk that needed to be used up before it went bad.

I just loaded up the slow cooker with a batch of soup. I had a bunch of veggies (and the massive amount of red potatoes I mistakenly bought) that aren't going to last much longer, so I needed to use them up. I browned a pound of hot Italian sausage, along with some diced onion, garlic and celery and then dumped it in with a can of chopped tomatoes, a can of garbanzo beans, most of a container of veggie stock, and then a bunch of chopped potatoes, green beans, carrots and fresh oregano, as well as salt, pepper and some other seasonings. I'm going to chop up the majority of a bunch of kale too and add it after a few hours.
The house is going to smell great and I won't have to cook for the next few days when I'll be so busy polishing off a TWO PAGE to-do list!

Well the plan was to grill out this afternoon, but it's been steadily pouring down rain so we'll see. Might have to move it inside...wanted to make sliders, grilled corn on the cob, baked beans, mac n cheese with sharp white cheddar (so good!), and banana pudding from scratch. Oh and I picked up a watermelon yesterday too.

I'd trade weather with you in a heartbeat, way! I have to just do work around the house today and it's supposed to be like 96º I think the a/c is finally coming on today!
That menu sounds wonderful! Even if it rains, you'll still have great food!

The weather turned cooler yesterday after being mid 80s on Saturday. Using up the last of the Mother's Day ham to make split pea soup.

I made steak fingers. Our weather is in the 90's here in Oklahoma and by the end of the week it will be up to at least 107 they are saying. I hope it doesn't.

Note to self: When you cook something spicy in the crockpot for 8 hours, it gets A LOT spicier! Holy crap! Oddly, of all the things in the soup, it seems to be the kale that absorbed most of the heat. I would have bet it would have been the potatoes. This soup is still really good, but I'd probably use the sweet Italian sausage if I made it again. I like a little heat, but WOW. I could feel it burning all the way down!

Salisbury steak, whipped potatoes, and steamed carrots and broccoli. I'm working on a strawberry cake with lemon curd filling, but it might be tomorrow before it gets put together.
