I have such a strange relationship with that show! Almost every episode I spend 45 minutes thinking it sucks and I’m not watching anymore. Then at the end of each I find myself thinking I’ll watch just one more.

Truth Be Told.
I am now finally getting to S2.
Does anyone recognize the actress that played Drew's mother at his funeral?
I seriously have not seen her since 1977. She looks awesome.

I'm just finished the season 2 finale of The Morning Show. It really does take you right back to the start of the pandemic when we didn't know anything. There was a moment when Stella walked into Cory's office and saw the plexi surround that was installed on his desk that was so relatable. "What time is the next feeding?" "Do you need my routing number?" The streaming monologue from Alex was just weird. Was that supposed to get people on her side. Chip was telling her it was great, but I thought it was just odd. I can see so many possible storylines for season 3, but I'm not sure that they should do one. It could get better or it could get a lot worse.

Agreed about The Morning Show -- Season 2 just went into a weird place compared to Season 1. No real network would let things get this crazy, also they would have more support and backup anchors/reporters to fill in. The whole thing just took on a fantasy-land feel to it -- did they think that we were supposed to feel for or root for any of them after this season? Aniston's monologue wasn't sympathetic at all, which is why no celebrity in real life attempted to do such a thing. And can we talk about the show's treatment of Daniel? He was in China at the birth of the virus, and was the most knowledgeable person about the whole story. Any real news show would have put him front and center and used him as much as possible. The way that his "unappreciated" story arc just continued was just dumb.
In trying to anchor the storylines to real life, the show somehow managed to lose all believability. On the plus side, I loved seeing Julianna Margulies on TV again.

Finally finished The Morning Show!!! Wow, the ENDING, I did not see that happening at all. Was that an accident or suicide? I am leaning suicide. I am so glad that (for the most part) I stopped awhile ago reading spoilers. I had no clue Mitch was going to do that. Bradley and her brother, I could have done without that s/l. MFWalkoff .... It was awesome seeing Julia and she looks amazing! As far as s/l, I think Mitch was shadowing Matt Lauer. What I have a problem with is all the anger from Jen A's character Alex. The whole 2 seasons she was angry. Which to made an overall angry environment throughout the studio. Chip's voicemail to Alex, I agree he was pissed off because no one could find her but my gawd he went on FOREVER. I liked Stella and Mia allot trying hard to make this Newsroom work. Paola, last time I saw was in "RAIN MAN" with Tom Cruise. She was like 20yo. Do all think there will be an S3??? Right now hubby and I are binging S2 of SERVANT!!! OMGOSH, it is so good!!! And I believe S3 has dropped!!!

Did anyone watched CODA? I’m thinking of getting Apple TV just so I can see that. Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor, Best Screenplay. I’ve only watched 2 trailers but was in tears. Is it worth subscribing for a month just to watch a movie, or will we get hooked on other shows?

Is it worth subscribing for a month just to watch a movie, or will we get hooked on other shows? Um....probably both. I haven't watched CODA yet, but there are some other shows to watch, for sure. I LOOOVE Home Before Dark, Ted Lasso is right up there with the best comedies on TV, See is pretty good scifi, and the first season of Truth Be Told is pretty great. Take a look at the series and see what you think.
The service had a bit of a slow build - and I probably wouldn't have stuck in there if I hadn't gotten around 16 months free from buying my iPhone - but it's really ramped up in recent months. The Tragedy of Macbeth (Denzel was nommed for Best Actor) is available, and Pachinko, the latest series, has just started.
I think it's definitely worth at least a month subscription

I enjoyed the musical Spirited, an updated version of Scrooge. It was fun, and not your typical Scrooge characters. Great cast: Will Farrell, Octavia Spencer, Ryan Reynolds, and Tracey Morgan to name just a few. Full of energy, lively musical numbers, and surprises, it was exciting and fun!

I started watching Dear Edward, a really interesting new drama series. It follows the fictional stories of several people who are connected to a plane crash that killed everyone on board, except a 12-year-old boy named Edward. It was created by Jason Katims (Friday Night Lights, Parenthood, About A Boy) and it's very well done.
In the first episode (which is about the crash itself), it took a while to get used to how the scenes jump between all the various characters, and shifting between the present and flashbacks to establish the stories. But I got pulled in pretty quickly, and now I'm hooked.
The first three episodes are available now, and new ones come out every Friday.

Part of me wants to watch it because of the cast, but I'm always hesitant to watch anything based on a book I really like/love. I do love Jason Katims projects....
I just got back from visiting family and their wifi is terrible. The signal wasn't strong enough to get Apple+. Netflix? Prime Video? Disney+? Etc. etc. All yes. Apple+, I could open and get to the command to play the episode I wanted to watch, but then it would error out. Looking forward to getting caught up with the new season of Truth be Told. I hope it's closer to season 1 than season 2. I definitely like Gabrielle Union more than I like Kate Hudson. KH may be good in other projects, but she was not great on this show.

I love Shrinking! Love, love, love this show. Harrison Ford, Jason Segel, I wasn’t expecting it to be funny but I should have known that with such good actors it had to be. Premise: A grieving therapist starts to break the rules by telling his clients exactly what he thinks. Jimmy has lost his wife and wants to try a new approach to his loss, but it is unclear how this will help others. Ford is the Senior therapist, with Parkinson’s, Segel is his junior partner. Great actors as supporting cast.

I can’t stop binging the first season! Anyone who enjoyed Ricky Jervais “After Life” series on Netflix, should enjoy this dark humor! It’s funny, human, relatable and very enjoyable to watch! Every character is so likable. Acting is so natural, you feel like they’re fun family. I’m ready for season 2!

I am a big Eugene Levy fan, even long before my favorite series Schitt’s Creek. His new series on Apple TV called the Reluctant traveler, is so much fun and beautiful. A family friend was in Costa Rica staying at the tree tent hotel when he was there filming. He chatted with them about this series, and I have been looking forward to it ever since. So many places I would love to visit, even more so now, after watching each episode.

I am about to start the South Africa episode. This entire series and destinations are all so beautiful. I want to go everywhere (especially on his all expenses paid account ) It is really hard to pick a favorite after just the first four episodes, each place becomes my "new favorite". But I will say that Utah and the Maldives really resonate with me. I love places that have me feeling tranquil and at peace with myself. So, if you watch, you will see why those two particularly stand out. He is very humble and in awe of the fantastic places he visits. He does things he does NOT want to do, if he were on an ordinary vacation. He actually can't settle down and sleep in one location. It's exciting, beautiful and "awe" inspiring to travel along side him through this series. I'm pretty sure you will enjoy it!

I put the Eugene Levy series on my list.
The new season of Truth Be Told is EXCELLENT! I was a bit wary, since season 2 wasn't great, but this season has been right up there with the first.

I finally watched Schmigadoon! Absolutely loved it, but then I am its key demographic (musical theater lovers)... Cecily Strong is hilarious, and Keegan-Michael Key was a surprising but great casting choice. Plus an army of Broadway superstars in supporting roles. Alan Cumming and Kristin Chenoweth steal the show, along with Aaron Tviet, Ariana DeBose and Fred Armisen. I watched season 1 last night, and the first two eps of season 2 are out so far; new eps drop on Wednesdays.

Sounds like something I would enjoy as well. I wonder if it was inspired by the old Lerner and Loewe musical Brigadoon? Later transformed into a 1954 Vincente Minnelli movie starring Gene Kelly, Cyd Charisse and Van Johnson. Way before your time, actually a little bit before mine too, but my mother loved it, and we would watch the Brigadoon movie version whenever it would appear on Turner Classics. It was magical and musical. Definitely will check out Schmigadoon, I love comedy and musicals! Thanks MFW!

Props to Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio on such a creative, toe tapping, engaging musical score! Love the nods to so many great musicals from the past, Oklahoma, Music Man, Sound of Music, King and I, on and on. Every episode is a fun, energetic and entertaining parody of warm and fond musicals of the past.
