All the World's a Runway - The Lifetime era of Project Runway comes to an end as designers produce runway collections in front of New York's fashion elite. Actress Andrea Riseborough helps the judges crown a world champion.
Enjoy the finale!

That was a good runway finale!
I wasn't sure during the whole episode that Irina's concept was going to work. I didn't like what she was doing, from what I could see. Having Mondo really helped her too: I loved how her pants were fitted on the models! Wow. In the end, her collection was amazing. She could have won, and should have been in the top two at least. The last look was so pretty: I loved that lace look and so did the judges.
Biddell's reptile theme was unfortunate. It just didn't look nice, in fact there was a lot of plain old ugly in those looks! That one skirt that bulged out was horrible. While he probably worked hard on it and had some talent, it just wasn't pretty.
Michelle's did look pretty! I liked her fabrics, and how she put them together, though her styling wasn't as pretty. She's been putting funky fabrics together all season, so in that respect she really pulled it off. I was happy for her that she won, because even though she wasn't super strong all season, and wasn't very nice all the time, her collection was stunning for the final show.
Dmitri said he did works of art, and sure they're beautiful. But I was on board with Isaac, that it was a little dry. I thought he should've gone out second, leaving Irina and Michelle on top, but it doesn't matter I guess since he didn't win. And boy, is he bitter about that.

Everyone did a great job and I agreed with the judges final decision.

Going in, I thought I wanted Biddell to win, but with the final touches, I was routing for Michelle. I thought she had the most cohesive and interesting runway.
BUT...I kept looking for a nip slip from Alyssa. I hated the styling and fit of the top of her dress.

I agree about AM's dress---yet again just a terrible fit and she does not wear fashion well. The top looked like a nightgown. I could not believe that we saw the outline of her breasts so clearly all night long.
Otherwise I was rooting for D...the dresses were beautiful

BUT...I kept looking for a nip slip from Alyssa. I hated the styling and fit of the top of her dress. Hated AM's dress, but what else is new? I knew it! I just knew it! After last week, remember I predicted that no matter what, Bidell wouldn't win. What I didn't add was that I was sure Irina wouldn't, either. I was convinced that it would be Dmitri vs. Michelle. The only thing I wondered was which one would actually win. During the show last night, I was pretty sure it would be Michelle. Why? Elementary.... Remember how Michelle talked last week about how sad she was at the prospect of maybe being eliminated? Because that's what happened last time on AS, she was eliminated just before the finale--and didn't get to face-off against Dmtri. I was pretty sure they were setting it up for her to make it into the finale this time, and that's what happened. Then, last night, they gave her the sob edit. Remember? Her marriage is falling apart and she's in financial trouble. She might have to give up her dream of being a designer. (You might also remember that in an earlier episode she mentioned having an autistic son.) I just had a feeling this show was going to play Cinderella and give Michelle the big prize. What better way to end the show? Even if they didn't know about the Bravo reboot yet, as somebody pointed out, Weinstein was already in deep trouble when they filmed this season. It didn't take much to see that the show was probably going to get canceled. What a glorious way to end, by making all the fans happy. Don't get me wrong; I did feel sorry for Michelle and I have no problem with her winning. Bidell pretty much eliminated himself, which makes me wonder if he did so deliberately. I mean, reptile royalty? Seriously? My husband is British and in all the years we've been married I've never heard that poppycock. It just sounded like he wanted go out in his own blaze of glory and really, I can't blame him. Irina...sigh. It reminded me of high school geometry, where we had to make a 3-D model of a geometric shape using construction paper. The only outfits of hers I liked were the lacy ones.

I thought this finale is the best episode of the season, yet thrilled Project Runway's run on Lifetime is finally over. Will definitely miss Issac Mizrahi and, for the most part, Georgina Chapman. Will not miss watching Alyssa Milano's fashion fails.

How many times did Michelle mention that she and her husband were just getting by ...... The PR title means nothing as she apparently cannot get a job in fashion.

I agreed with the judges 100%. Dimitris' collection was beautiful but it lacked excitement. Bidells' was ugly. Innas' collection was, to me, a fail. I don't understand the excitement everyone seems to feel about her white lace look. To me, it looked like a fancy version of a karate outfit. It even had the black belt.
And Alyssas' dress...YIKES!!!

I actually felt that was kind of sad. Once the cameras stop rolling, we imagine these designers leading glamorous lives. Realistically, though, how many actually make it in the business? I mean, build up a business so that it becomes self-supporting? Just like any field, there are only going to be very few Christian Siriano's or Michael Costello's. Most of the rest of these designers probably go back to their ordinary lives.

I was a big fan of Dmitri's work the first two seasons he was on but he didn't seem to have that same flair this season. I kept waiting for him to turn it on and present something that took my breath away but it never happened.
Toward the end of the season, I thought Irina should win because she was the most consistent but I really hated how presumptuous she was. She talked as if she had already won so at the finale, I was glad she didn't make final two. She needed to be knocked down a peg or two.
I thought the reptile royalty look was ok. It looked like something the judges would drool over but obviously not something people would wear in the real world.
I wasn't a fan of Michelle's work during the season but I did like her final collection best. It was the one that I felt translated the best into clothing real people would wear in the real world.
I wish all of the designers would have brought the effort and creativity from the finals to the rest of the challenges! For being an all-stars season, I wasn't blown away by most of the fashions they presented.

She’d already won before. Did they blow the winnings?
