I never thought I'd see the day that I'd be defending Luke or anyone like Luke. I don't find him attractive in either looks or actions. Even if I was younger, he's just not my type at all. But the pick on, pile on, bash & trash way he's been treated is just plain wrong. So he & Hannah see things differently and just aren't at all right for each other. She kept him there, hoping he was something he wasn't, just like he thought she was something she wasn't. That was her decision. No need to further beat up the guy because SHE was wrong. I guess I just can't stand people ganging up on anyone. I tend to feel sorry for the underdog.
Thank you! It's like you read my mind! I was going to post this in the regular show thread, but since you put this here I'll say it here. I came from a family very similar to Luke's, so I totally understand Hannah's not wanting to marry the guy. But I'm sorry, she's the one who has dragged him along and forced him to go through this dog-and-pony show. Yes, he did come back after she eliminated him. (And yes, I believe they made her take him back.) That was just one week, though. You can't tell me that if she had tried to get rid him before or especially after that TPTB wouldn't have booted him off. And who knows? Maybe he wanted to leave but those same PTB filled his head with insinuations that she was really reluctant, maybe if you try again you'll have better luck, etc.
As for next week's total fiasco, I'm not even going to watch it. Really, how hard is it to say, "Luke, we have different philosophies of life. I just don't want to marry you. And this time I mean it!" Instead, it looks like we get a playground fight between two children. And about that whole "sex in the windmill" thing. I know in the show thread some people praised Hannah for it. Well, we're just going to have to agree to disagree. I think it's tacky and tasteless. You don't like the guy. Fine. So why does the whole world need to know your bedroom business? And what did hurting Luke accomplish? Make Hannah feel good in the moment? From the mess she made in picking Jed as F1, it looks like she should have been working on her relationships with the other guys, not obsessing over Luke.
And yeah, the whole thing with the other men piling on Luke just does not make them look good. Even if Luke is a genuine villain (and I'm not convinced he is), then so what? Just ignore him! True villains enjoy the negative attention when they wind people up. Refuse to give them that satisfaction. The other men should have been concentrating on Hannah, not obsessing over Luke.

Peter and Tyler are both so wonderful! Mature, successful careers, sexy, loving, great husband material... and she's going to pick caterwauling Jed who is so delusional as to think he has a career in music!? Why?? I don't think I can stand to see her let the other two go. Especially Tyler.

I just watched an interview with ET & Peter's girlfriend he broke up with to be on this show. Looks like we've got another one.

This is the one that Reality Steve said had contacted him quite a while ago and was ready to go public but backed away after she saw how people treated Jed's girlfriend. I guess she finally decided enough was enough after the hometowns.

Eh. They dated for five whole months, long distance, and Peter broke up with her several months before going on the show. On a scale of one to Jed, that's only around a two, IMO.

Given the fact that he was asking her to move across the country to live with him and dropped her like a hot potato when he got cast, I'd give it at least a five. Plus, I don't remember if it was Reality Steve who said it or if she said it in the article, but he was apparently cheating on her with other women the whole time that he was asking her to move cross-country to live with him. He's quickly moving into sleaze territory in my book.

Maybe I'm just old, but why do they think in this day and age that no one will find out their secrets? I guess it really is a generational thing. I'm a high school teacher, and I could tell you stories that would make you roll in the aisle about students who thought their stupid behavior would never go beyond their friends--even though they told all their "friends" on Instagram.

If RS is right and Luke was on the stage for MTA for a total of THREE hours (2 alone with CH and 1 with the rest of the guys out there watching), all I can say is those poor audience members! Can you imagine sitting through three hours of Luke's Big Bag of BS!? UGH We've seen lots of people behave like asses on reality TV, but it's nice when they have moments of self-realization and grow from the experience. Nice also if they acknowledge they were idiots and apologize as well. From all accounts, we'll see none of that from Luke. I expect to watch his portion of MTA with the mute button on (much like I've done with him for a lot of the season). As for Peter, yeah, what he did was scummy, but it's not on the level of Jed. At least he broke up with her first. Obviously, we've heard all about how great their relationship was, but if it was THAT great and he was really in love, he wouldn't have broken it off to meet someone on a dating show. She should be grateful it happened before they were together for a long time. IIRC, they'd only been dating for maybe 4 months. Yeah, it sucks to get dumped, but that's not a long, committed relationship. For a lot of that people, that's still just "dating" and not a serious relationship. I don't really see the appeal of Peter. I mean, he seems nice and all, but he looks like a little boy to me I'm all for Tyler being the next Bachelor. I don't think Hannah is ready for a guy like him if she's still chasing the bad boys.

I guess Peter gets the axe tonight? I can't bear to watch. It'll be even worse when she lets Perfect Dreamy Tyler go, and my only comfort will be if he is the next Bachelor. Oh, and also thinking about how upset and stupid Hannah will feel when she finds out about Jed and wishes she had chosen Tyler! So tonight will be the RC and then the MTA?

So next week the show will be two hours on both Monday and Tuesday? I'm so over this season already that I don't know if I'll watch all of it. I might just watch ATFR, and even that doesn't sound too interesting. The only way I'll see anything I can't already anticipate is if they bring Tyler back like they did with Molly for Jason, and I think Tyler deserves better, like his own season. He should't be anyone's second choice.

^^^ They didn't have to try too hard. He's a creep.
It was very clear who Hannah was going to pick. She wanted her family to give Jed their blessing and was obviously really upset that they didn't. She didn't seem to care that they loved Tyler. Her father made some great points about Jed, his lifestyle and how he danced around questions. She just didn't seem to want to hear it. It was very much like a teenage girl being upset that her parents don't like her boyfriend.
I really want to see her bring down the hammer on Jed tomorrow night.

Reality Steve tweeted that however Jed or Peter spin things, he'll be interviewing the women. In spite of what he promised, Chris Harrison didn't bring things up with Peter tonight, so unless there's another Q&A with Peter tomorrow night, they are killing that story. Jed on the other hand....

UGH!!! I'm finally getting a chance to watch last night's show, and it's breaks my heart that she didn't choose Tyler. He's such a sweetie, and I think she really did have feelings for him, too. They just got such a late start on really being intimate, so there was a lot of catching up to do. I wonder if they'd had more time if she would have chosen him instead of Jed. Guess we'll never know.

FannyMare, he seems to be a pretty good guy--kind, supportive, not sexist (which is nice). I haven't seen a lot of personality from him when he's with Hannah, but he's been pretty funny and uninhibited with the guys. I really like him, but I'm unsure whether he could carry the show.

He had a one on one with Hannah where she was in a bad mood and he brought her out of it. There was also a part something to do with his butt and he told her she could touch it or something and she did and he was like, "behave!" I love when a guy is flirty like that.

I’m so glad I’m not a public figure with people watching all the comings and goings at my house.
I hope things work out for Tyler and Hannah, but I’d rather the news come from them and not from creepy stalkerish media reports. That comment isn’t directed at you, girly, but at the people giving the “intel.”

Just leave them alone and let them figure out their relationship outside of the public eye. It's not like he's a stranger to her, they are young, good for them. I wonder if Jed w!as a set up all along?..lol Interesting possibility. The show gets to have their "most dramatic ending ever" and a happy ending. P.S. I don't think it was a set up, but I like the idea that it could have been.

I dont think so either. It's just the type of thing, this show is famous for. Most definitely! I saw someone else say the same thing on a tweet about it. I still think that the show heavily influenced Jason to pick Melissa instead of Molly but had every intention of the two of them getting together in the end. I don't know if you remember, but they had Deanna come out and visit him right before it was time for him to propose, and she gave him a big talk about how she chose wrong when she chose Jesse over him. (I don't remember her exact words, whatever she said was designed to push him toward Melissa.) I remember being shocked at his choice, because it was so clear to me that he and Molly were so crazy about each other.
