I'm not sure how I missed this series last year, so I'm just getting up to speed on season 1. Season 2 to be released in a couple of weeks. It's probably the definition of dramedy. I laugh then I cringe at this totally dysfunctional Murdoch-esqe family. kiz ......totally a dysfunctional family. S1 was really good. We are looking forward to S2. AUGUST 11th!!!! That's one good thing about coming into a series late. No waiting for season 2. I love the cast. I'm even impressed with the cast for the intro. The story of the family is perfectly portrayed in those snippets. The music is great too. |

Totally agree! It takes a great deal of skill to create characters who behave so horribly and write and act them in a way that makes you love them. It's hard to find a redeeming quality in Kieran Culkin's character, and yet I'm so happy every time he's on my screen.
Kendall has me on edge this season - every episode I'm convinced he's about to die.

Fantastic season finale last night! There was a thing her or there that I thought was a bit inconsistent with the way they've created these characters ... but the characters are also inconsistent so that may have been on purpose. Loved it, and the final scene left my jaw on the floor!

Yes!! That was a great episode, and an amazing last few minutes. That tiny wrinkle of a smile on Logan's lips at the end of Kendall's press conference was so well done. He finally earned his father's respect at his father's expense. Bravo! And Tom opening his heart to Shiv exposing his sadness was very moving. No doubt a lot of people could relate to those feelings.

They've tricked us into believing his fate before, so I'm not convinced until I see him in a coffin. But a big part of me would LOVE to see a scene where one of his kids walks out to get something, sees him and just goes back inside. It would show the apple continues to not fall far from the tree.

I glued myself to the previews for the finale next week nothing was shown of Kendall. Nope no coffin and no mourning family members. But it does look like one intense finale. |

It's just one of the best written shows on TV, with acting at a level to live up to it! I find myself needing to read recaps each week to pick up on all the details that I totally overlook in one watch.
