Let Them Eat Cake - In under 75 minutes, the contestants must replicate a cake for the judges. Dessert, my favorite thing! Enjoy the show...

I just can't decide what it is about Fred that bugs me so much. Does he not move his lower jaw or what? Anyway, it's really distracting to me.

And, it sure seems like Micah is getting put off in a corner and barely even noticed! They just gloss over him; I missed about 30 seconds of the show tonight and I can only assume that's when they tasted his cake, because I sure didn't see it. In fact I don't think he's even been visible on camera more than 1 or 2 times the whole show. I already liked him from the start and the more they ignore him, the more I want him to win! Just because!

Is Michah the youngest (19) who works in a kitchen? If so, then they did enjoy his cake and praised it.
Bri scrapes by again as did Noah. Watching the Baking shows, contestants are normally given 2-3 or even 5 hours to make cakes. 75 Minutes was so unfair. I was quite surprised at the level they produced even if I couldn't taste them. What??? They wanted a Victorian Sandwich to be frosted? They should have had a real baker in as a judge. Tomorrow night that will happen wth a Macaroon challenge. Another unfair test for non-bakers as they are so finicky to get right. It will make good TV, I guess, with all the fails sure to happen.

75 minutes was ridiculous for some of those cakes - the cheesecake I make takes 70 minutes to bake, never mind prep. I don't know how she made two in that time. Bri should have been able to squeak out a carrot cake in that time, though - what happened to the frosting?

It melted off as the cake was still hot. I thought the carrot was a difficult one to make with all the prep plus the long time it takes to bake it.
Of course we know a lot of these cakes from the British Baking Show and I agree that nick made the Victoria Sponge as it should have been made. It did look like the piping along the side had dropped off so for that they put him in the bottom?
ETa
I really like this kind of immunity challenge rather than the group catering challenges. It shows what each person can do and they should be judged that way. Of course, the fact that they eliminated someone was a shocker.

Micah's the guy that always has his cap on backwards and has a mustache and goatee.
I'm really surprised Bri is still there after that! And even more surprised about Noah!! Just because he picked the hardest cake doesn't excuse his miserable attempt!
