So happy there is a hockey thread. Was raised a Pittsburgh Penguins fan... Queue the boos hahaha. Hoping Knights take it, great story and plus their goalie is Fleury who used to be on the Penguins forever so I have a soft spot for him.

I’m a huge Tampa Bay fan, so it's still stinging a bit, especially since I live in a DC suburb (for the time being.) This was supposed to be our year  , but you can’t win when you don’t score goals. The Caps were definitely the better team. That said, go GK! I’ve never understood the appeal of Ovi. Sure, he’s very, very good, but on a personal level I just don’t get it. And living here and seeing it firsthand, I find Caps fans very fair weathered. They will turn on them in a second. After they lost games 3 and 4 to the Lightning, it was all gloom and doom, then miraculously they all jump back on board. The GKs have quite the story. Their fans may be hard to live with if they take it all though. LOL I mean, they are giving to expect greatness for a while to come, but eventually it will all catch up to the franchise as a whole when they will need to make trades and develop young players like the rest of the NHL.  |
