Kel Mitchell is a two-time Emmy® Award-nominated actor, producer and stand-up comic hailing from the Windy City of Chicago, Illinois. Currently, Mitchell is executive producing and appearing in the new iteration of the beloved Nickelodeon series All That, bringing him full circle since he got his big break and won several awards for the original show. All That was Nickelodeon's longest-running live-action series with 171 episodes across 10 seasons from 1994 to 2005. The franchise paved the way for a number of successful spinoffs, including Kenan & Kel, The Amanda Show, The Nick Cannon Show and the feature-length film Good Burger, all of which cemented the show's and Mitchell's impact on pop culture. Additionally, Mitchell is the host of the heart-warming TV series Tails of Valor, which takes a look at true stories of service animals working to change people's lives. The show airs on CBS Saturday mornings. He also recently starred as Double G, an impulsive and unpredictable billionaire rapper on Game Shakers.
Other acting credits include TRU TV's Friends of the People, Cartoon Network's Loiter Squad, TV One's Love That Girl, Disney Channel's Liv & Maddie, as well as Nickelodeon series Sam & Cat and The Thundermans. Additionally, Mitchell wrote and directed the faith-based, anti-bullying film She Is Not My Sister, and also directed several music videos.
When he is not acting, writing or directing, Mitchell speaks to youth across the country encouraging them to follow their dreams. He and his wife were recently honored with an award from the Carson Black Chamber of Commerce for providing a safe program for kids to show off their creative talents in their dance variety live show, The Back House Party. Mitchell is also the spokesperson for Black College Expo, which provides numerous scholarships for students throughout the year.
Witney Carson
Born and raised in the small town American Fork, Utah, Emmy®-nominated choreographer Witney Carson's dreams growing up were anything but small. As the oldest of four children, she took her first dance class at the age of 3 and danced her way through dozens upon dozens of classes, quickly developing her craft which would later become her career. She is trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, lyrical, tap, Latin and standard ballroom; and has competed and performed all over the world, garnering attention, awards and scholarships throughout her career.
Before her time on Dancing with the Stars, Carson was one of the Top 6 (Top 3 Females) on season nine of Fox's So You Think You Can Dance and returned the following season as an all-star. Her credits on Dancing with the Stars quickly grew from a troupe dancer in Seasons 16 and 17 to a pro dancer in Season 18 with partner Cody Simpson, and winner of Season 19 with partner Alfonso Ribeiro, making her one of only five dancers in the history of the show to win in their first two seasons. Her third season was a memorable one with ups and downs with former Bachelor star Chris Soules, and her fourth was another one for the books with Super Bowl MVP Von Miller. Last season, she was partnered with Frankie Muniz, and before that was partnered with '90s legend and icon Vanilla Ice and toured with him throughout the season.
Carson made her way to the silver screen in the 2015 dance flick Dancin': It's On. Other than her career as a professional dancer, she has found success as an entrepreneur, model, fashion blogger and skin cancer spokesperson. She married her high school sweetheart, Carson McAllister, on New Year's Day 2016 in hometown Salt Lake City. Together they have been working on her new blog and a YouTube channel, where Carson will finally give fans insight into how she stays in such great shape, in addition to providing dance tutorials and advice for teens and young women.
Carson is as driven professionally as she is philanthropically. She is an active member of The Skin Cancer Foundation, an organization that supported her through the difficult treatment for melanoma. She is open about her own history with the disease and relishes the opportunity to share her experience with various children's organizations and skin cancer charities to raise awareness and educate the population, youth especially, on proper skin and health care.
