I was really happy to hear Nigel suggest that they should bring back Top 20. I'm happy that Bailey won - he wasn't my favorite, but whatever. He's adorable and he seemed to really take full advantage of the process in terms of growth. But, I don't feel like we really got to know much about him. Yeah, the little packages they showed on the contestants were cute, but in previous years when there were 20, we had a much longer time to really feel connected to the finalists. I just don't feel that a top 10 is enough time to really connect to the finalists.

I still think more time, should be given to the winner,10, 20 or 30.

FannyMare, I don't know that we've ever gotten much as far as the winner celebration goes. I guess I'd have to go back. In order not to spoil the winner, they show their memory videos earlier. At the end, we get balloons, confetti, and all the other contestants joining them on stage. I guess I wasn't overly offended by it.

Maybe I was just tired, tired of seeing the same dances we just saw a few weeks ago, then announcing the winner so quickly. I've said the same about DWTS,.jmho..

I agree that a top 20 was a better show. I also think way too many weeks are spent on the audition process. I don't even bother to watch until they get to the Acadamy week.
I like Baily, although I was rooting for Miriah. But, I wonder how successful he will be as a professional dancer. He's awfully short for a male dancer and may lose gigs, not for his lack of ability, but because he's too short.

I understand there are time & budget limitations for the show, so I wish they’d get to the final stages of competition sooner. I prefer a top 20, but a top 10 would work if we got more time with them. Agree that we don’t need quite so many audition episodes.

I hope they don't cut the Academy because I do enjoy that part. They can cut the auditions, keep the Academy, and have a Top 20 and it would be perfect. With only a Top 10, when your partner gets eliminated, there isn't a lot of time to acclimate to a new partner and not many switcheroos. A Top 20 would improve that.
