The premiere episode is out, but the rest don't start until mid-February.
About the Show
If there's a song in your heart, it will get in her head. Jane Levy stars in this high-concept drama as Zoey Clarke, a whip-smart computer coder forging her way in San Francisco. After an unusual event, Zoey, who always preferred podcasts over pop songs, suddenly starts to hear the innermost wants, thoughts and desires of the people around her - her family, co-workers and complete strangers - through popular songs. At first, she questions her own sanity, but after getting some guidance from her musically adept neighbor, Mo, and making a breakthrough with her ailing father, Zoey soon realizes this unwanted curse may just be an incredibly wonderful gift as she connects with the world like never before.
I LOVED IT. I adored Jane Levy in Suburgatory and she is great in this. I don't know how sustainable it is for a long term concept, but I really liked it and hope it sticks around.
I did see the premiere episode and liked it. It was a refreshing concept, and the actress did a great job. I agree Jamie5632 that it might not be sustainable in the long run, or might get old fast, but I'll watch it again. I was surprised they got permission to use so many of those songs. That part was fun!
I also watched My Crazy Ex Girlfriend but I have a max on the # of musicals an episode. It's just never been my thing but it's nothing ffwd can't fix. Fan of Jane Levy from Suburgatory so I'm excited to have her back on my screen and see where this goes.
