It's Like They Never Left! - (Season Premiere) Fifteen of the competition’s fiercest challengers return to face-off in this season. The first elimination challenge finds the chefs on a beach to cook a seafood meal, with fire being their only heat source. They also have no electricity or appliances.
Enjoy the show!

That was so much fun to see everyone from previous seasons! So happy this show is back.

It makes such a difference to have an impression of all the chefs before it starts! Though I have to admit I was surprised at how many of them I didn't really remember.

I was surprised how many I did remember. Show did not do much to relieve my stress hormones as I held my breath during much of the cooking segments. I really thought Lee Ann was a goner with the halibut mis-cook, but Joe did another form of bread/pasta for the second time and blew it both times.
Watching Malarky be Malarky is not too much fun, though.

Maybe this season she would be such a grump butt, or at least keep her 'tude to a dull roar.
I think Joe was the best choice to go, although Lee Ann deserved her spot in the bottom 2 for her self noted rookie mistake.
SOOO Happy Gail is back, she takes the Padma edge off for me who I end up liking less each season .

I must be in the minority, because Malarky was making me laugh in his narrations. He's had years being on TV since season 3 and it shows.
I'm kind of mystified as to why Jenn Carroll, Lisa, Lee Anne and Angelo are even trying again. Lee Anne actually worked for the show behind the scenes for years. And Jenn is just a glutton for punishment -- she always finds a way to choke sooner or later. Lisa is just as unpleasant as ever. And Angelo seems kind of sad, like the high school quarterback who is still hanging around school years after graduating.
I am very happy to see Kevin back, as well as Eric, Gregory, and Stephanie. I don't mind Bryan V being there as long as his brother doesn't show up. Karen, Melissa and Jamie are okay but not very memorable for me. And what is Nini doing there?
But the show still manages to be entertaining, and there are several chefs I wouldn't mind winning. But overall my expectations are lower for this All Stars, because for me the first All Stars was one of the best seasons of reality TV of all time. I go back and watch it often.

It seems strange that Lee Anne would be a contestant on the show after being an employee...even if it's been awhile since she worked for the show. Maybe they have a deal where she's guaranteed to be on for a certain number of weeks only? Could they have had that much difficulty getting enough people to return?

THAT made me laugh, too much. lol
I don't mind Malakry.. he is funny at times, he was just never one of my faves. As much as I love BOTH Volt bros.. I think it is nice to see Bryan with out the looming brother behind him.. or in front of him. Both are very talented chefs but I think this is Bryan's time and frankly I would love to see him win.
I do agree on Angelo, he is out of place this season, it is sad but he has mellowed a lot too maybe that is part of it... and he has aged a lot in the last 10 years.
