I can't get the sound to work - the line at the bottom where you can pause, adjust picture and sound is missing.

If you have an ad blocker running you may need to disable it for the Bravo site. I had to do it for videos to play.

I love that they had to cook in a restaurant kitchen and be intimidated by the TOP chef in the genre (fish).

They are still as crafty as ever with the editing. Tom's comments on the dishes made it seem like Joe was a goner but he beat Angelo in the end.
I'm not mad at that result. Angelo's a sweetheart but he seemed kind of lost this time around.

I wish they didn't do the editing like that. I know they are trying to build suspense, but when you show all the great things about one dish and all the bad things about another for a competition the viewers can't judge on their own since we can't taste the food, it leaves it feeling a little flat. I agree with your observations on Angelo. He came across like the initial prospect of coming back to the show was exciting to him, but then he got there and missed being home enough that he wasn't really inspired to be there. When he lost, I was kind of relieved for him to get to go home!

Eliminated contestants don't go home until breaking after the semi-final but then return for the final.

Fun challenge this week.. Tom was a hoot wandering around the kitchen I am amazed by how many people on this show put the tasting spoon back in the dish after they taste.. sorry, IMO running a dish towel over it is not good enough for me.

Jen Carroll cannot catch a break with Top Chef. At least she's a better sport about it now. Next week the LCK winner goes back into the competition. I wonder if they will be doing this multiple times this season, since it's so early. Also, next week's show will have a double elimination so there will be 3 chefs in LCK next time.

Nini is the reigning champ of LCK. Lisa is out and will sit out as a spectator of future LCK competitions.

Something about Nini bugs me, but she keeps on surviving. I felt bad for Eric.
Although she did make me laugh with "I'm Italian now!"

I'm happy for the latest winner and very curious about how this LCK "finale" is going to play out. Seems like they might be changing things up a bit.

And then Kevin beat out Karen to retain his spot. But Tom says there’s one more step before Kevin can return to the competition, and then the remaining chefs still in the competition show up to LCK...........to be continued......

Was the “one more step” episode not posted for you? Both the leeann episode and that one were posted for me. I won’t spoil it in case you don’t have it yet. But it’s a three part competition where Kevin has to win two parts to get back in.

Yes! I just watched part 2. Thanks acooker. I felt for Kevin this time, as that was pretty intense for him. And the daggers that Stephanie shot at him during the entire episode. Wow!

Very intense. I was happy for Kevin, he just belongs in that final group. SHADE moment: When Karen was done and going for the door, Nini says "Grab your knives!" (Karen had forgotten them so maybe she was just being helpful, but the way Nini says most things sounds like shade so...) And then Padma shows up at the end to talk about the final Quickfire in LA... are they going to make Kevin cook AGAIN right then and there? Give the man a break! We'll see...

I thought the death stare Karen gave Tim when he chose Kevin over her was so strong it seemed like she almost made him change his mind!

So happy Karen went out. Thank you Kevin. He won 2 out 3 and looks really strong as long as he doesn't have to cook without resting.
