Bring Your Loved One to Work - In the quick fire, the chefs play a game of telephone with their loved ones as they try to reproduce the dish their family member is currently eating at a nearby restaurant. Then, they are tasked with creating a signature product that they will sell.

I loved the quick fire but I do wonder how it was decided what loved one each got. I’m guesssing in preproduction they each get to pick someone as a “ if we use a loved one who do we call”. Some of them had a definite advantage by having someone who knew food!
I did love the response of so many in the kitchen when Leeanns mom got sick. It was great to see others pitch in to help so leeann wasn’t held back by that unfortunate happening.

I loved both of the challenges this week, great use of loved ones! Yes, Lee Ann and her mom on the phone, I was rolling! Mom was loving the steak, let a woman eat  |

The edit was teasing us to hope for a Malarkey elimination, but they pulled the rug out from under us and sent Jen home. Grrr...

I agree! I’m realizing watching this season that some of the people who are considered top of the Top Chef pack I don’t care for as much as I used to. Jen was always outspoken and brash but I really respected her skill before. Now, not so much. Kevin has always been held up as a Top Chef sweetheart but he’s coming across to me as a bit pompous. I feel like some of the contestants who went in perhaps with people asking why they are there see they have something to prove and come across better as a result.
