Not liking this - they need to go back to a F2. But Dom made his bed 😢😢

Wow! The ending made up for some of the boringness of the season!

That was a hard one. Two of the most deserving finalists. Maybe they should have had America vote? I would have found that interesting.
Personally I would have voted Dom...but it would have been a tough choice.
This is not one of those seasons when I think someone was robbed....I wish they could have both won.

This was one of my favorite seasons ever! I loved the ghost island twist and how contestants were given a chance to "reverse the curse". In some cases, it appeared that the curse was real because the item worked its voodoo on person after person. There were a lot of surprises at tribal council and we got several memorable contestants from the season, people I would love to see play again (especially Michael!).

Them are the rules. In this instance I would have preferred America vote.

That was an unfulfilling ending. In fact, I think it’s been about 5 years since I enjoyed a Survivor conclusion.

Hmmm... Why did the jury consist of an even number of people??? Is this new or have I been blind to it?

Jeff never went back to the girl in the audience that he had cast a vote, did he?
Such an awful "reunion" show. Hardly talked to anyone, way too much Kevin Hart.

Hmmm... Why did the jury consist of an even number of people??? Is this new or have I been blind to it? I looked and last season (Heroes, Hustlers, Healers) there were 8 jury members. The season before that (Game Changers) had 10 jury members. The one before that (Millennials vs Gen X) had 10 jury members. I didn't go further back than that because it's clear that it is usually an even number of jurors.

Sorry but that show looks like a cross of American Ninja Warriors and Wipeout. Big deal. Get something different.

I've caught up to the reunion show now, and am listening to Michael - he's awesome. I love his logic; he seems like a smart guy.
I found it hard to root for one over the other, both deserved the win. I went back and forth, loving Wendell, his cool personality, and how he kept winning immunity. But then Dom really was a target all along and hung in there by sticking with his alliance, finding/using idols, and winning too.
That even numbered jury was definitely a short-sighted plan by the show. They've never had a tie before, so figured it wouldn't happen? Or is it a result of this new fire-making for third finalist thing?
Which I'm happy Dom didn't risk, giving up his necklace and going head-to-head making fire. If he had lost that, it would have looked terrible. He didn't have a good option; there was no sure thing available at that time to ensure winning over Wendell.
I'm surprised Angela voted for Wendell over Dom, and I continued to be annoyed by Kellyn's sour puss and bitterness when speaking to them. SeaBass with his mouth breathing, half-lidded look was just too much! LOL! Dude, shut your mouth!! Donathan was disappointing in the end and it affected how much I liked him. He didn't come off well.
Oh, and early on, wasn't the shot of that island with the huge maze on it just BEAUTIFUL? It looked fake it was so pretty. This show does an amazing job with the photography, they must win some awards for that.
All in all, it was a fine season. The ending with the tie and the two strong guys going head to head made it a little better, even though there weren't as many shocking, big moves that make for an exciting season. There were people to root for, and root against, which I like. It didn't end with an undeserving winner, which helps a lot. And maybe we'll see some of these players again in a season of all-stars or something. There are a few to choose from!

Whoa, these two hours made up for the whole season. Sea bass, he always looks strung out, so Dom tried a bluff, he could have still voted for Dom with his extra vote, what a dolt. ohno I'm not sure who was most deserving, I think Dom played a better game, but I really liked Wendell. Dendell should have won.. biggrin A tie, omg...their faces! But as soon as Laurel got to vote, I knew who had won..as did Dom. Laurel is the only one of the tribe that knew the winner! Well done Wendell. A big shout out to Michael who took control of the jury imho, and spoke well. Kellyn was her usual snarky self. Donathan really did change, we both saw a change in him. Chris and Dom did an MS walk, well done guys I wonder if I'll watch the next season, of course I will! biggrinlove

Haha ok. That's how much the show held my interest. Thanks. I am glad that Wendell won. He was my pick to win since they showed him in the first episode. He just seemed like he had everything together.

What a crazy finale. I've been wondering what they would do if there was a tie on the final vote and now we know. I think they both played well enough to win. I probably would have picked Wendell myself but it would have been a difficult decision. I bet Wendell is super happy he gave Laurel that immunity. The funny thing is that Wendell did have a huge hand in keeping Dom in the game early on which benefited him. Maybe for that reason I'd give him the win over Dom. I wouldn't have been too upset if Dom had won. I don't know if I loved this season but I did like the ending. (Minus the crazy long carry-over to the "reunion" special. Jeff hardly talks to any of them anymore.)

None of them made a great impression, and I could care less what they are doing..jmho..

I thought this was a great season. I was happy with either Dom or Wendell winning. And that is a winning season for me. Two deserving players. Laurel just didn't have the moves. She was meeker than she thought she was, unfortunately for her.
I also loved Donathan. I was always sweet on him, but the tribal where he showed his backbone (and not just his truth bombs) really made me so very proud of him. Dom and Wendell were nice, and they were nice to him, but they were also the jocks. They were the alphas of the tribe and there is just no getting around that. Donathan knew he was never going to beat them at THAT game so he tried what he could. I hope they bring him back.

Wait -- HOLD UP. I didn't watch this season, and this is the first finale I've watched in years. FIRST OF ALL, why is there an even-numbered jury> SECOND, this turning the third finalist into the deciding vote -- is there any precedent for this? I stopped watching this show a long time ago because it just started feeling like Jeff was making up the rules as he went along and played favorites. First time they've had a tie-breaker at Final. Whew! WTH? I loved the way the interactions were done this final. Everyone could break in with comments or questions. Great Season!

I wonder what they would do in case of a tie when there were only two contestants to vote for, like it was in the early days of Survivor? Maybe that's why they changed it to a final three instead of a final two. They were hoping that would eliminate a possible even split of votes and give them another jury member (the finalist with the least number of votes) if there was a tie.

With 3 people eligible for votes, it didn't matter at all how many were on the jury. Ties were always possible. 9 person jury? It could split 4-4-1. The outcome still hangs on one vote. I thought it was neat that the vote was someone in F3.
I went to bed as soon as the winner was announced. Much deeper into the reunion hour than usual so they were never intending to interview the jury.
I don't like the F4 fire challenge at all. I don't like that idols can protect people towards the end.
