It's that time again: Adagio's Tea Advent Calendars are available! I did the teabag one last year, but I'm ordering the loose tea this year. I thought they each had the same teas, but when I saw the list (of course, after I'd already ordered), it was clear that the loose tea selections were much more to my taste. I"m sort of horrified that it's already time to buy something for December, but I'm excited to try this year's teas!
I'm still largely caffeine-free. It's been over 3 months. I've had a few cups of English Breakfast over the last month or so, but I'm trying to REALLY make sure I'm over the heartburn/acid reflux issues again. It's still mostly ginger tea and Tazo decaf chai right now, with some throat care tea and licorice root tea occasionally.
I GOT IT!!! WOOT WOOT!!! YESTERDAY!!! YEAH!!! THANKS Critical for even telling me about ADAGIO'S last year!!!

I love that you love Adagio, momrek06 ! IMO, their tea is among the best. Great flavor and really reasonable prices. I've had better - I think The Art of Tea is incredible, but it's also VERY pricey. I'm getting my advent calendar order in today and I'll probably get a few other things to get free shipping. I definitely miss caffeinated black tea, but it's been fun to try decaf and herbal options. I think I'm definitely ordering some of their decaf earl grey and maybe one of the herbal samplers.
ETA: Okay, I ordered the loose tea advent calendar, some of the decaf Earl Grey, the Herbal Portions sampler, the chai vanilla tea cookies (they're amazing!) and a sample of the decaf hazelnut cinnamon creme. I opted to not spend any rewards points, so maybe I can use them for something cool closer to Christmas!

Well I have also on my "Wish List" the "12 Days of Christmas"!!! Woot Woot!!! I got several of those last year and my BFF and my Mom and my "tea" Sister loved them. I love one of the reviews on the ADVENT CALENDAR was that the lady reviewing sent her Mom (who lives in a different state than she does) one and they would open the Advent Calendar together while on the phone and enjoy their TEA together. So Sweet. Esp when you can't be together. I am so proud of you with your diligence in cutting caffeine out of your life. That is very hard to do yet you are. Outstanding. And like you said maybe one day you can enjoy it again but for now (in the words of my Mom) "your health is your wealth"!!!

Okay, this is a pretty great deal for some really good tea! I just got an email from The Art of Tea offering $20 off an order of $40 if I send a referral code to a friend. That friend also gets $20 off their first $40 order. This is some of the best tea I've had - their Earl Grey Creme is incredible! If anyone wants a referral code, let me know!
momrek06 - I might have to splurge and buy one of the 12 Days of Christmas boxes too! The list of teas looks amazing!

Okay, momrek06 , I went a little nuts and bought a bunch of stuff from Adagio! I started out just getting the 12 Days of Christmas and then kept adding things. I got a full pound of the decaf earl grey, which I LOVE and then grabbed some of the vanilla chai tea cookies....and then a few types of white tea and then it kind of went out of control! When you spend $75, you get a free bag of Reindeer Fuel tea, which is one of my favorites AND if you spend $100, you get a super cute tea cup with infuser, so I had to do that, of course! They definitely saw me coming.
I've been wanting this cute mug for a few years, so I bought it too! Because I don't have nearly enough mugs
I got my cousin the cutest t-shirt from TeaSource this year for Christmas: Green Tea Shirt I also got her a few different green teas. I'm trying to get all of my Christmas shopping done early, so I'm sure everything arrives in time.

Critical !!!! Oh my word, Girlfriend, you did really really AWESOME!!! First of all I so want the REINDEER MUG!!! Ordering it for my girlfriend and just having them ship it to her because just when I thought YOU loved Adagio Teas more than anyone.....I am telling you Joanne is right up there with YOU!!! I LOVE THE " velociTEA" maker. When you have a second read about it, its amazing!!! I like my countertops pretty much clutter free with nothing on them BUT THIS ..... I may have to make an exception for!!! Isn't their website soooooooo FESTIVE at Christmas time!!! The GREEN TEA SHIRT is PERFECT!!! I was at the dentist today for a cleaning and the hygienist and I chatted all about TEA and she has a 4 cup a day addiction to GREEN TEA!!! Did you see their collection of "Tinsel Teas"?

The velociTEA looks amazing! I'm sticking with my electric kettle for now, but that one is really cool. I already have too little counter space as it is!
I looked at the tinsel teas, but there's too much "stuff" in them - sprinkles, marshmallows, etc. I ordered the King George tea from one of the Hamilton fandom tea collections and it has rainbow sprinkles. I didn't love it. Some of the other teas in that collection are amazing, but that one fell flat for me.
I looked through my emails to see how far back my orders go and while the emails are from 2008, I know I've been ordering from them for longer than that. My cousin turned me on to them. I still have some of the tea canisters that they used to package all of the tea in. Now everything comes in plastic bags and you have to BUY those canisters!

momrek06 - my order from TeaSource came and the t-shirt is super cute! It's a shade darker than it looked on my computer, but that's fine. My cousin is a redhead, so that green will look great on her. I also bought bags of their Mandarin green tea and carrot cake green tea for her. I got some of the carrot cake tea and a bag of herbal cranberry spice tea for myself. I'm having a cup of the carrot cake tea and it's pretty great. It smells amazing! The cranberry spice smells incredible too! They included a sample of a tea that I'd considered ordering but didn't, so now I'll know if I should get it next time. They had a great offer of $10 off a $30 order (I think it was for first-time customers), so the tea I bought for myself cost $1!
ETA: I had some of the cranberry spice herbal tea from Tea Source and it is AMAZING! Smells great dry and smells even better while steeping. I add just a bit of honey and it's SO good. Now I'm going to have to buy more!

Critical ..... OMGOSH you did AMAZING with all those flavored teas!!! I love when I buy a tea and the smells are so real and true to what the smells should be and then the TASTE!!! #heavenly Having a home in Maine, my parents buy allot of blueberries and Maine's blueberry teas are absolutely delicious. The blueberry tea in Maine is just so rich with flavor. I don't ever buy it or drink it in any other state!!! Just Maine!!! Are you still limiting your caffeine? That Green Tea t-shirt for your cousin is so AWESOME (even if its a bit dark) as I don't think I have ever seen one before ever!!! You know I have never bought anything from TEA SOURCE!!! I having been looking at their website and which looks so FAB and there is 20% off TEAS TODAY!!! I sent the link to my GF, Joanne as she is a TEA ADDICT just like you and me!!!

I having been looking at their website and which looks so FAB and there is 20% off TEAS TODAY!!! I sent the link to my GF, Joanne as she is a TEA ADDICT just like you and me!!! I'm now officially addicted to Tea Source's decaf English Breakfast. It's truly just as good as any "regular" EB. I wish it was cheaper, but it's worth the cost. I bought a pound of it last month. I'm also really into their cinnamon orange rooibos. When we were in Alaska, I bought this tea called Samovar Tea, which I'd never heard of, but saw everywhere. It's black tea with orange and tons of cinnamon. I'd wanted to order more, but the shipping from Anchorage (where the company that makes it is headquartered) was just prohibitive (like $16.95 when the tea is maybe $7.95). The cinnamon orange rooibos from Tea Source is a really good substitution.
I"m definitely still limiting my caffeine. I had maybe a cup a week of black tea. Other than that, it's decaf. I'm just trying to be SO careful. When I first had acid reflux back maybe 15 years ago, I went off caffeine for several years. It sucked, but it was better than the pain.
The caffeinated tea I'm drinking most often is Adagio's Reindeer Fuel. They only have it at Christmas and it's only available as a gift or with points. Seriously, it's SO worth it. There are a bunch of ingredients, but mainly it's black tea with chocolate and mint. Heaven.

My cousin got me a gift certificate for Adagio for my birthday last month. It was enough for a few bags (I think it's the 3 or 4 oz size) and some of the tea cookies. I tried the decaf chocolate truffle because, yep, I'm still on decaf. I also got more decaf earl grey and some of the decaf hazelnut cinnamon creme. Since I've been searching for a decaf chocolate earl grey, I decided to mix the decaf chocolate truffle with the decaf earl grey and BINGO!
Adagio's had their big holiday sale with the freebies at various purchase levels and I went a bit hog wild and ordered a bunch last night. I'm getting a pound each of the decaf earl grey and chocolate truffle and some other decaf teas as well. I even threw in a cute tote bag....because I desperately need another tote bag I ended up with a free bag of Reindeer Fuel tea (my favorite caffeine splurge), another cute mug with a diffuser, some mulling spice mix and a set of the tinsel teas. I didn't spend enough to get the 12 days of teas, but I got it last year and I think it's the same teas this year. Plus, I'd already spent plenty! That was my little Christmas gift to myself!
Since this is my super busy time for my business, I've been drinking lots of Yogi Immune Support Tea with Echinacea. I don't know if it's helping, but I haven't gotten sick! Yogi has another tea for immunity, but it has a lot of lemon in it and I don't love that. I'm desperately trying to stay healthy this season!

I've been buying the Yogi Immunity tea. It's suppose to support the immune system, and the flavor is a very light lemony one. I figure it can't hurt this time of year, especially.

I've been buying the Yogi Immunity tea. It's suppose to support the immune system, and the flavor is a very light lemony one. I figure it can't hurt this time of year, especially. The Yogi Echinacea Immune Support tea that I like a lot has lemongrass, peppermint and licorice. The other one is the Elderberry Lemon Balm Immune + Stress tea and the lemon flavor is a little strong for me. It's not terrible, but I like the echinacea one better. I've been drinking it every morning and then finishing the day with some Emergen-C. I'm determined to not get sick this season when I have so many art & craft shows. It's not unusual for me to get a cold when I'm run down, so I'm trying to get as much sleep as I can, even though I have so much to do!
I planned my Adagio order perfectly! I'm out of town for work this weekend and was worried the box would come while I was gone. My neighbor could grab it for me, but I didn't want her to have to deal with it. The order is set to be delivered on Wednesday. Perfect! I'm so excited to unpack my latest tea haul!

It's that time again! The Adagio Tea advent calendars are available! This year, they actually have a decaf one, so I can drink all of them freely, without having to spread them out to avoid any issues with the caffeine. I also bought big bags of decaf Earl Gray and decaf chocolate truffle so I can make my favorite blend of chocolate Earl Gray. I got a few other flavors too and a box of the berry white tea cookies. I bought so much that I got all but the highest level of gifts this season, which was the Twelve Days of Christmas teas. I got that last year, so I don't need it again. I got the mulling spices, the bag of Reindeer Fuel tea (black tea with peppermint and cocoa nibs - yum!), the mug with infuser and the box of favorite holiday fandom teas. I love all the freebies! They give you SO much extra stuff. I added it up and what I got is worth $67 if I purchased it. My box is supposed to be here next Tuesday. I can't wait! So, momrek06 - this is your reminder to get your Christmas tea shopping started!

Saves me some calories, I guess.
I didn't even do the advent calendar last year because of the caffeine issue, so I'm thrilled they did a decaf one! I thought the twelve days of Christmas teas were good, but I didn't necessarily want to get them again either.
Sadly, the biggest thing Adagio doesn't do is a good English breakfast, decaf or otherwise. I'll be ordering a pound of decaf English breakfast from Tea Source soon. It's SO good.
I'm such an Adagio fan that I bought an Adagio tote bag last year. Because I need another tote bag

OMG. My Adagio order arrived this afternoon and I am giddy! I already mixed up a container of chocolate Earl Grey for later. The little pack of fandom holiday teas is wonderful! Only one that is black tea, so the rest are caffeine free. I've tried one - rooibos nutcracker - and the black one is Reindeer Fuel, one of my all-time favorites. I also got some throat therapy because my throat is always scratchy at this time of year. It's ridiculous how big and heavy of a box my order came in. I felt like an addict grabbing it off the porch I'm SO busy with work that I really do want time to move slower, but I'm excited to start drinking the tea from the advent calendar! momrek06 - have you placed your order yet? The Black Friday deals are still on! The mug you get at the $100 level is super cute. Because I needed another mug I think I now have a set of four of their Christmas mugs. My favorite is still the one with the Christmas lights (I actually paid for that one!), but this new one is cute too.

YES my ordered ARRIVED but it is in Boston as I am going there for 3 weeks for the holidays with my family. So I ordered up the STOCKING STUFFERS .... did you see them. My first time buying them. They look AWESOME. I selected the tins with bags. The tins are adorable! I ordered two ADVENT CALENDARS!!! The 24 days of tea (decaf one) and the joyeux calendar!!! My Sisters all LOVE tea. As does Mom. So with the fact I will be "home" for Christmas, I really wanted them to try all the different teas while we are altogether. On the MUGS, your CHRISTMAS LIGHTS one is ADORABLE. I also remember one with REINDEERS on it and that is ADORABLE also!!!!

I would have done the SAME THING esp from Adagio!!!! Critical ...... I LOVE THAT MUG!!!! You have it, right? It is so FESTIVE a mug!!! Actually, all their MUGS are AWESOME!!! Good call.....THANK YOU. I believe my order was $82(ish) so I should be getting the REINDEER FUEL!!! I have never had that tea but the description of the RF is totally me. On the MUGS and I have bought them past Christmas' for family ..... are they all DOUBLE WALLED, do you know? The Christmas Lights one is and that has to be FAB keeping the tea warm!!!!

momrek06 They are double-walled. I love mine! The lights one is my favorite, but I got one with a blue and white Christmas tree on it last year or the year before that I love too. I think I have 4 of them now! I took the new one with me this past weekend to use in my hotel room. It made a sterile hotel room a bit cozier. Reindeer Fuel is one of my favorite teas! It's what I had as my last hot tea before my dental work! I broke down one year and bought some on ebay because Adagio was out. They used to also offer it as one of the things you could exchange loyalty points for, but I rarely see it on that page of "prizes" any more. Anyway, RF is the ultimate holiday tea for me. I love it! A little sugar and creamer makes it extra good! One of the little extra things I bought in my last order was the masala chai candle and it smells SO good! I may try another scent in my next order. On my last order I got all of the freebies except for the $200 one, which was the 12 Days teas (I think). I got it last year, so I didn't need it again.

Ok this is going to sound funny BUT Critical, you are such a huge fan of Adagio and the INFO that you know about all their PRODUCTS is amazing. Reason I bolded the items above!!!! You should work for them ..... they would be selling TRIPLE the products they do now with YOU on board!!! Ohhh, Girlfriend, I actually went to AMAZON for their teas .... yup, on a whim last year I checked out Amazon and I was pleasantly surprised they do sell Adagio Teas. Sadly you get no "freebies" so I stick to their website. That CANDLE sounds amazing!!! Isn't that just the BEST when you order a candle before getting a chance to smell it and it arrives and you LOVE IT!!!! Priceless!!!!

I always recommend Adagio teas and Penzeys Spices. Both have excellent products and great sales/freebies!
Have a cup of Reindeer Fuel for me! I have to wait a bit before I can have it hot. The dentist said I can do lukewarm but *meh* not really interested in that.

They used to have a brick and mortar store in Anaheim, but it closed several years ago Their products are really high quality and always have special offers on. I've gotten several little gift boxes of spices for under $5 and in one case, free.
I hope you like the RF as much as I do.....maybe not possible, because it's one of my all-time favorites. It's definitely a tea that will get you in the holiday spirit!
