It's that time again: Adagio's Tea Advent Calendars are available! I did the teabag one last year, but I'm ordering the loose tea this year. I thought they each had the same teas, but when I saw the list (of course, after I'd already ordered), it was clear that the loose tea selections were much more to my taste. I"m sort of horrified that it's already time to buy something for December, but I'm excited to try this year's teas!
I'm still largely caffeine-free. It's been over 3 months. I've had a few cups of English Breakfast over the last month or so, but I'm trying to REALLY make sure I'm over the heartburn/acid reflux issues again. It's still mostly ginger tea and Tazo decaf chai right now, with some throat care tea and licorice root tea occasionally.
I GOT IT!!! WOOT WOOT!!! YESTERDAY!!! YEAH!!! THANKS Critical for even telling me about ADAGIO'S last year!!!

I love that you love Adagio, momrek06 ! IMO, their tea is among the best. Great flavor and really reasonable prices. I've had better - I think The Art of Tea is incredible, but it's also VERY pricey. I'm getting my advent calendar order in today and I'll probably get a few other things to get free shipping. I definitely miss caffeinated black tea, but it's been fun to try decaf and herbal options. I think I'm definitely ordering some of their decaf earl grey and maybe one of the herbal samplers.
ETA: Okay, I ordered the loose tea advent calendar, some of the decaf Earl Grey, the Herbal Portions sampler, the chai vanilla tea cookies (they're amazing!) and a sample of the decaf hazelnut cinnamon creme. I opted to not spend any rewards points, so maybe I can use them for something cool closer to Christmas!

Well I have also on my "Wish List" the "12 Days of Christmas"!!! Woot Woot!!! I got several of those last year and my BFF and my Mom and my "tea" Sister loved them. I love one of the reviews on the ADVENT CALENDAR was that the lady reviewing sent her Mom (who lives in a different state than she does) one and they would open the Advent Calendar together while on the phone and enjoy their TEA together. So Sweet. Esp when you can't be together. I am so proud of you with your diligence in cutting caffeine out of your life. That is very hard to do yet you are. Outstanding. And like you said maybe one day you can enjoy it again but for now (in the words of my Mom) "your health is your wealth"!!!

Okay, this is a pretty great deal for some really good tea! I just got an email from The Art of Tea offering $20 off an order of $40 if I send a referral code to a friend. That friend also gets $20 off their first $40 order. This is some of the best tea I've had - their Earl Grey Creme is incredible! If anyone wants a referral code, let me know!
momrek06 - I might have to splurge and buy one of the 12 Days of Christmas boxes too! The list of teas looks amazing!

Okay, momrek06 , I went a little nuts and bought a bunch of stuff from Adagio! I started out just getting the 12 Days of Christmas and then kept adding things. I got a full pound of the decaf earl grey, which I LOVE and then grabbed some of the vanilla chai tea cookies....and then a few types of white tea and then it kind of went out of control! When you spend $75, you get a free bag of Reindeer Fuel tea, which is one of my favorites AND if you spend $100, you get a super cute tea cup with infuser, so I had to do that, of course! They definitely saw me coming.
I've been wanting this cute mug for a few years, so I bought it too! Because I don't have nearly enough mugs
I got my cousin the cutest t-shirt from TeaSource this year for Christmas: Green Tea Shirt I also got her a few different green teas. I'm trying to get all of my Christmas shopping done early, so I'm sure everything arrives in time.

Critical !!!! Oh my word, Girlfriend, you did really really AWESOME!!! First of all I so want the REINDEER MUG!!! Ordering it for my girlfriend and just having them ship it to her because just when I thought YOU loved Adagio Teas more than anyone.....I am telling you Joanne is right up there with YOU!!! I LOVE THE " velociTEA" maker. When you have a second read about it, its amazing!!! I like my countertops pretty much clutter free with nothing on them BUT THIS ..... I may have to make an exception for!!! Isn't their website soooooooo FESTIVE at Christmas time!!! The GREEN TEA SHIRT is PERFECT!!! I was at the dentist today for a cleaning and the hygienist and I chatted all about TEA and she has a 4 cup a day addiction to GREEN TEA!!! Did you see their collection of "Tinsel Teas"?

The velociTEA looks amazing! I'm sticking with my electric kettle for now, but that one is really cool. I already have too little counter space as it is!
I looked at the tinsel teas, but there's too much "stuff" in them - sprinkles, marshmallows, etc. I ordered the King George tea from one of the Hamilton fandom tea collections and it has rainbow sprinkles. I didn't love it. Some of the other teas in that collection are amazing, but that one fell flat for me.
I looked through my emails to see how far back my orders go and while the emails are from 2008, I know I've been ordering from them for longer than that. My cousin turned me on to them. I still have some of the tea canisters that they used to package all of the tea in. Now everything comes in plastic bags and you have to BUY those canisters!

momrek06 - my order from TeaSource came and the t-shirt is super cute! It's a shade darker than it looked on my computer, but that's fine. My cousin is a redhead, so that green will look great on her. I also bought bags of their Mandarin green tea and carrot cake green tea for her. I got some of the carrot cake tea and a bag of herbal cranberry spice tea for myself. I'm having a cup of the carrot cake tea and it's pretty great. It smells amazing! The cranberry spice smells incredible too! They included a sample of a tea that I'd considered ordering but didn't, so now I'll know if I should get it next time. They had a great offer of $10 off a $30 order (I think it was for first-time customers), so the tea I bought for myself cost $1!
ETA: I had some of the cranberry spice herbal tea from Tea Source and it is AMAZING! Smells great dry and smells even better while steeping. I add just a bit of honey and it's SO good. Now I'm going to have to buy more!

I'm now officially addicted to Tea Source's decaf English Breakfast. It's truly just as good as any "regular" EB. I wish it was cheaper, but it's worth the cost. I bought a pound of it last month. I'm also really into their cinnamon orange rooibos. When we were in Alaska, I bought this tea called Samovar Tea, which I'd never heard of, but saw everywhere. It's black tea with orange and tons of cinnamon. I'd wanted to order more, but the shipping from Anchorage (where the company that makes it is headquartered) was just prohibitive (like $16.95 when the tea is maybe $7.95). The cinnamon orange rooibos from Tea Source is a really good substitution.
I"m definitely still limiting my caffeine. I had maybe a cup a week of black tea. Other than that, it's decaf. I'm just trying to be SO careful. When I first had acid reflux back maybe 15 years ago, I went off caffeine for several years. It sucked, but it was better than the pain.
The caffeinated tea I'm drinking most often is Adagio's Reindeer Fuel. They only have it at Christmas and it's only available as a gift or with points. Seriously, it's SO worth it. There are a bunch of ingredients, but mainly it's black tea with chocolate and mint. Heaven.
