I saw that too! If they're bringing Maddy back, I'll probably start watching again. I've watched every episode, even the ones that were not good. I'm still annoyed with these two young guys who are the showrunners - they've totally run this show into the ground. The stuff with Teddy and the nuclear bombs is just stupidity. I thought the stuff with Ginny was bad. I'm still watching, but this season has been a slog. I get that they've probably done these single story episodes due to Covid, but it was so frustrating to wait so many episodes to see Alicia.
The artificial arm Alicia has that was crafted from her bones is pretty badass.
I'll be curious to see how Madison reacts to Victor's evil turn. Will she be the leader of Padre? April can't come fast enough!
The finale of World Beyond (we don't have a thread for it and I'm not starting one, since the series is over) had so many little tidbits that affect the whole WD world. The little post-credits cameo of Jenner, who we haven't seen since season 1 was a nice surprise. Oh, and the fast walkers that may be the result of a mutation/variant of the virus, which seems to have originated in a lab in France. Also, was Jadis talking about Rick when she referred to someone strong who was brought low? And who is BILL!? I hope they answer some of these questions in the other series.
I'm just now watching Talking Dead and Kim Dickens is a "mystery guest," so there really wasn't a need to spoiler tag that announcement!

Season six episode about John called "The Door" was really sad. But it will never be as sad as the Game of Thrones episode of the same name
SO, did anyone else watch the season premiere? I totally forgot about it until I saw it listed in the app I use to track the shows I watch. I watched it early on AMC+. I have to say, I didn't love it, but it has potential, as far as the rest of the season goes. I just can't believe Morgan (and apparently, everyone else) did such a 180 on PADRE. I hope they do show what happened as the season progresses.
I liked the little actress they cast to play Mo/Wren, although I'm not totally sold on the character yet. An article I read pointed out the parallel's between her and Judith, (new actress cast after character is aged many years), but it also said that viewers would, naturally, have less of a connection to Wren. Judith was on WD from almost the very beginning, even if she wasn't always played by Cailey Fleming. I did like the actress playing Wren - I knew instantly who she was - but I'm still on the fence about the storyline.
I'm thrilled that Madison is back but, frankly, if there isn't a reunion with her and Alicia by the series finale, I'll feel cheated. I also need - and, hopefully, that will happen sooner rather than later - a reunion with Madison and Strand.

Yikes, was this week's episode D-A-R-K. I understand that, during Covid, they had to shoot a lot of episodes with just a few characters, but they're long past the time when the restrictions have been relaxed. The thing I enjoyed about this show is the ensemble all working together. They need to get back to that and quickly. I'm going to watch until the bitter end, but I'd rather be happy about it!
I was SURE they weren't actually going to let that walker head bite Dwight and Sherry's kid. THAT is dark.
I was happy to see Daniel in the preview for next week's episode, but I do think the editing that made it seem like HE is PADRE is just a misdirect. I don't think it could be Victor either. I do wonder if it will be someone we know.

I just watched the mid-season finale and, I have to say, even if you haven't watched for a while, watch this episode! It sets up a totally different direction for the last half of the season. I went through some Kleenex! I'll have more to say Sunday night after the episode has aired on AMC!
No word on when the next batch of episodes will start, but maybe it will be like it was this time: the last episode will lead in to the next spin-off. If that's the case, the series finale of FTWD will lead into the first episode of the Daryl spin-off. That would be awesome!

Okay, since it's aired already.... I found myself both sad that this was Lennie James' final episode as Morgan, but then also glad, since that may mean that the final episodes return the show to its roots with Kim Dickens heading the show. I'd love to see Alicia back, although that guy with her arm at the end was rather ominous.
There's speculation that the villain is Troy Otto, who we thought Madison killed. BUT, that hammer at the end looked a lot like the one she used to whack him over the head. I thought season 3 was one of the best, so I'd love to see the return of at least one character from back then.
No word on when the final episodes will start, but I hope we will actually see Victor on screen, rather than just seeing Colman Domingo's name in the credits. We've waited a long time for the reunion between Madison and Strand.
With that ending for Morgan, I do wonder if he'll pop up on the Rick/Michonne series next year. I'd love that full-circle moment, since they're the only remaining characters from episode one. While his last episodes were a little disjointed, I'm glad they gave him a good send-off.

I'm a little late, since we're already to the second episode (which I haven't watched yet) of the back half of the final season, but....That mid-season premiere was terrific! It really felt like a reboot and a return to what the show was back in the earlier seasons. I loved the reunion with Madison and Victor, which obviously wasn't going to go smoothly. I loved seeing (almost) all of the cast regulars, especially the ones we didn't really see in the first half of the season. I never loved Troy, but he's a better villain than freaking Ginny and her Western town or the sibs from Padre. I really hope that Alicia isn't dead. I know Alycia Debnam-Carey said she's gone for good, but I really am hoping for a Madison/Alicia reunion before the end. I feel like the fans who've stuck with the show this long deserve it. waywyrd, I know you stopped watching a few seasons ago, but you might want to give these new episodes a try. It feels like a reset back to what the show used to be. It's a bummer that it never lived up to the potential it showed in the first few seasons, but I still think there's a lot to like about the show. I'm wondering if we'll ever see Wendell again Or Sarah. It feels like they just disappeared. I really liked both characters. I can't imagine that Victor/Anton's husband and son will survive the season....
