You Don't Strike Me as a Renaissance Man - Teams in Paris, France, must whip up some tasty treats and make enough Chantilly cream for four pies, as well as compete in a series of carnival games.
Enjoy the show (for those of us who didn't get to see this one last week)!

Didn't this guy say he learned to drive a stick before the Race? I'm not impressed with his learning.

This chateau is GORGEOUS.
The blondes aren't much better at driving. Sigh.

How did Will and James end up third?? No way I could whip cream by hand like that. That's why I have an electric mixer.

The blondes finally found the Castle.
Still have to do the speed bump.
I think they will not make it today.

I don't know, Michelle looks pretty lost...*crossing fingers* Yes, but they are close to where they should be. They are only one road over. The co-pilot needs to read the map . That would help.

From the beginning I think, my favs have been the football players, volleyball brothers and married couple Hung /Chee. But, I’ve come to like the blondes. I apologize for thinking they would be little princesses afraid to get dirty. They’ve shown me how wrong I am in first impressions, so I’m glad they made it ahead of Victoria and Michelle.
I don’t know how to drive a stick shift either, so I sympathize with the teams that can’t..... . While I enjoy James, I still roll my eyes at Will. He really is lucky to have James in his life (Will is the tall one right?)
I enjoyed each challenge of this race tonight, maybe it’s Paris? I’m happy that Victoria and Michelle have grown close, and can now say I love you....mission accomplished girls!

How were Michelle and Victoria driving for six and a half hours? I was thinking they were going to run out of gas before they ever found the place.
Really liked all the challenges - the Chantilly palace was beautiful and the task was suitably difficult. The museum/carnival looked like a lot of fun.
I would have asked if I could take the cream pie with me for the road. Lol.

My DVR is set to record only first run of this show, so since it thought it recorded this episode last week it didn't automatically record it. :/ Thankfully I noticed before the whole show was over. I did miss the first half so I might try to catch it later.
I am glad the blondes pulled it out to stay in over the other sisters. It's hard to believe Michelle and Victoria drove for over 6 hours without getting help several more times than was shown. However, it seems they're closer now, so good for them. I do love that about this race when it draws the teammates closer together than before.

I loved the challenges, especially the pies being thrown! The sisters were completely on the wrong side of the tracks, I appreciated the map the show put up, I knew then, they'd be last. I love the blondes, they don't get too pissy with one another. Will and James , James I like, Will seems like a know it all. Leo had a laugh, over Wills driving, or not driving
I see it's two hours hext week..

I am so glad I went to Paris last summer before Covid happened. Its really the most beautiful city I"ve ever seen in my life. If I were on the amazing race I think I would get eliminated because of getting lost just like Michelle and Victoria did, because I am so bad at directions

God, me too. In fact, I got so lost in Paris that I actually walked out of Paris. The streets started to have German names...found my way back, however!

I may be in the minority here, but I don't mind James & Will and it's Leo & Alana who are annoying me. From what I remember, the main reason they U-Turned Leo & Alana is because of seeing what they did to the Olympians and not wanting to risk being put in the same position where Leo & Alana could screw them over like that too; then the U-Turn failed and no big, James & Will decided to just move on, whereas Leo & Alana just will not let it drop and have been snippy and bitter as hell, makes me wish they'd just shut up about it and move on.
That being said, this leg was a ton of fun, the challenges were right up my alley in regards to stuff I'd love to try doing. On the other hand, huge yikes on the eliminated team, I was baffled on how they spent so long in their car like that, how could they get lost that badly.

rembrandt, when the map showed that they were driving parallel the entire time on a road further away, I thought "OMG, why don't they stop and ask for directions?" 6 hours of driving and not stopping for help is crazy. I guess they may have stopped and it was edited out, but they did have a map and should have been able to read the roads right? Even in French, the road names should match. They must have been frantic and just not thinking straight.
Will bothers me sometimes, but as I said, he is growing on me. James, I love. I want to hug him each time he succeeds.

They stopped and asked for directions at least once that they showed. And then remained lost.
Count me as another who doesn’t like Leo and Alana.

Leo and Alanna aren't my favorites, but Will and James got mad at them for just helping another team. Then W&J turned around and colluded with 4 or 5 other teams, continually asking for and offering help. I find that to be super hypocritical of them. It was just not okay for L&A to help because they don't like the blondes (or didn't like them more than the other teams that were in the back of the pack.) Will and James don't get to choose who other teams help. They lost my support as a team when they acted that way.
Even though I think I'd be terrible at that art challenge, I really liked it.

Didn't this guy say he learned to drive a stick before the Race? I'm not impressed with his learning. With new cars especially, there can be a fair amount of resistance to getting the shifter into some gears (first and R are both often stiff), so I can see how he didn't realize he was in the wrong gear. It's very unlikely that in his learning he actually tried to start moving in a higher gear to understand how that felt. When he figured it out they seem to have no longer edited in any "bad gears" driving from him like they did with the blondes so I think it was just the one thing he didn't realize.

Paris is a big city and French isn't English, but even so there is no mental frame of reference I have for how you could just circle for that long without finding it. I feel for them, though. That had to have been so awful to be in that situation.

What did Leo and Alanna do to the Olympians??? Will wants to play the game and it is obvious he thinks that Leo and Alanna are his rivals, and that they have a skillset that can beat him. He set up the U Turn to hopefully eliminate them. Will is so gloating over the situation and I don't think gives a fig about the Olympians. If the cars were in a position to drive around Will I am sure all of them would have. I give Leo a lot of credit for being smart getting in Will's car and moving it and having enough saffy not to tell the team what they were doing wrong. I was surprised that Leo and Alanna did not Yield Will or James when they had the chance, the episode just skimmed over that part.
