Breakups during the holiday season are particularly hard. I wish them both the best. They seem like kind people who intend to make their lives meaningful... Zac, in particular.

This article is pretty slight on details. I'm sorry to hear this news as I liked both of them together. Guess she's got to give back that Neil Lane sparkler.

I’m (sadly) not surprised either. I read a gossip item about them the other day that had a statement from someone who ran the NYC Marathon near them and apparently, Zac was speaking really meanly to Tayshia. I guess she was wearing down and wanted to walk for a bit, but Zac kept pushing her, but not in a nice, motivating way. The person said it really changed how she felt about Zac (she was a fan before that). Sounds like rubbish, to me. Does anyone really believe he would belittle her during the marathon? It was common knowledge he was coaching her.

I don't think we know Zac well enough to know one way or another what he would do. Whatever happened at the marathon and the rest of the relationship, I wish then both well.

The person said that the way he spoke to her changed this person’s opinion of him in a negative way. He was trying to get her to keep running, but it wasn’t kind. When you run a marathon, especially a big one like NYC, you’re surrounded by tons of people who can easily hear you. They’re public figures. So why wouldn’t people around them be paying attention and what would a person gain from saying he was mean/unkind vs. saying how great and encouraging he was when her energy was flagging?

That's a head scratcher because she's the one who has accepted commitments away from him for nearly the entire year they've been together.

It's too bad they broke up, but I'm not the least bit surprised. Zac seemed like the kind to want to make his life meaningful. Tayshia, on the other hand, seemed like the kind to want fame & to be an influencer. I felt that from the beginning. She always just seemed flighty to me. I always hope for these Bachelor couples, but I never expect it. I'm never surprised when they break up. I'm only surprised when they don't.

Very flighty, especially with that guy on BIP, who was just as flighty imho

I just never thought they were suited.. They have more success with relationships, on big brother.

She moved all the way to NYC to be with him, so I don't think she was uncommitted. Work is work, if he got pissy because she was out doing her job that's on him.
Sounds like they just weren't a good match after all. And if he really was unkind to her as she was trying to run a marathon with a bad knee, well he can go get stuffed.

She got engaged to a total stranger and then left for one gig after another on the opposite side of the country. If he were pushy, how would they've lasted this long? Seems he was very understanding.
During filming of their season, she loved being in front of the camera and he didn't. In fact, he could be downright shy at times. He just wanted to be with someone who had goals/aspirations similar to his, and she (wholeheartedly) said she did. It appears being on the show for an extended period of time has reversed her thinking.
Maybe it is as simple as being around a bunch of single guys is more interesting to her than settling down. Idk.

One person who doesn't even know them shouldn't be able to ruin his reputation. There's no proof that he wasn't kind. In fact, all of their posts and interviews demonstrate just how kind and supportive he'd been. And as I said before, and like Critical acknowledged, with them being as popular as they are, and with all of Bachelor Nation knowing they were going to be there, does anyone really think that he would've said anything inappropriate to her during the marathon? Nah.

I felt this at the time she was announced as one of the hosts of The Bachelorette. They no more than got engaged & she was off on her new back to back TV gigs. She was all over the place, quarantined & isolated from him for months at a time, playing giggling school girls with Kaitlyn. Their relationship never had a chance to work. I'd bet this isn't what Zac had in mind when they got engaged. She's had little to no time for their relationship, him, or their life together. Now that she does, Poof! They realize they're not compatible. I think the TV hosting gig is what she wanted, way more than Zac. She really loves & craves the spotlight. If he had been willing to be nothing more than her tagger-on, or be nothing more than a "bachelor nation" talking head, their relationship may have worked, but he wasn't. He wanted a relatively normal real life. She didn't.

That's just incredibly sad. I feel for Ivan and his family, especially for Gabriel's daughter. How can 2 brothers turn out so different?

SO sorry to hear about Ivan and his family. So much trouble in our world.
On another note. I scan social media and I have come to the conclusion so many of the bach/ettes are in this for the fame. Doing what is necessary to keep their names relevant. Apparently social media such as instagram, tik tok, twitter etc can be very lucrative to some of them. I see so many of them hawking goods for companies. It isn't just the bach show people who do it. I guess it is called making hay while you can. Old age term.

I thought Ivan was a standup guy until he worshiped his brother during Tayshia's hometowns. Personally, I wasn't one bit surprised to see him being less than honest and, therefore, thrown off the beach during Paradise.

He presented a safety issue that could've turned into a harassment claim. I wouldn't trust Ivan. SO sorry to hear about Ivan and his family. So much trouble in our world. On another note. She really just needs off this franchise.

I know I should probably know this, having watched BIP, but I can't remember at all. What exactly did Ivan do that was so awful, and bad enough to be thrown off the beach? I don't remember any of that.

If I'm not mistaken, he magically stumbled upon information that was stored on a producer's phone... said it was just sitting there out in the open and he couldn't help but see it... and then he used that info to search out another contestant who hadn't appeared on Paradise yet, but was at the hotel. This was during the bad storm, when they had to evacuate.
I'd add that he used a lot of women along the way in order to stick around until this particular contestant arrived, which has readily become part of the game, but I find it distasteful.

When someone tagged Clare about this, she threw major shade by making some comment about how she'd had a front row seat to his acting from the beginning. Ouch!
