Good challenges so far. Sasha looks like this season's comeback kid so far.
Roscoe seems like someone who is a really good chef, but maybe wasn't cut out for the stress & pace of a TV competition.
Brittany just wasn't ready -- she needs time to discover who she is as a chef.

These chefs must have been TIRED after this week. Last Chance Kitchen started right after the main challenge was over, and thanks to Nelson bowing out due to his knee injury, one LCK challenge turned into two. It was a pleasant surprise to see Jamie pull out the win. I wasn't ready for her sound effects to end this season. So in the main show we learned Tom loves mushrooms...in LCK we learn he's also addicted to sardines. For the second challenge to establish the new LCK winner, Roscoe was in the weeds once again (of course -- he just isn't cut out for fast-paced chef competition). Gabriel was his own worst enemy, thinking a salad would win it for him. Now Sasha starts the long slow climb back into the competition. And Gabriel gets to watch from a stool...oh well.

I agree with your assessment re: Roscoe. Sweet man, talented, but competition shows aren't his thing, and that's fine. Annoyed that Gabriel got the lion's share of screentime but was pleasantly surprised to see Sahsa pull out the win. If I see Gabriel again it will be too soon. There's being confident in ones abilities and then there's arrogance and putting down others and he's the latter.

This had to be my least fave of all the LCKs, simply because of the items they had to use.. all I can say is icky-poo!

Sara vs. Chris - two people I thought would be in the final four.
The challenge reached new heights in terms of product placement: Tom driving a new BMW around a nearby racetrack while the chefs cook their food, so instead of a clock, they have to finish their dishes by the time Tom did 10 laps and then drove back to the kitchen, which was supposedly only 5 minutes away from the racetrack. It all seemed above board and not something created in editing to seem real, but the premise itself invites skepticism by anyone who doesn't live in the area and can point out the locations on a map.
Sara remained a quirky and surprising winner with an all vegetable-dish vs. Chris' spicy halibut. She lives to giggle another day.

His comment about "I need to get one of these" made me audibly groan when he said it. It was interesting to see them cook under the time constraint, and think on their feet. I still love Sara and hope she DOES make it back in. Sara, Shota, Gabe and Maria would be my dream final four... and I would be happy with any of them winning.
