Pan African Portland - The pressure is laid on the chefs in the quick-fire challenge as they are tasked to make a layered dessert. Carrie Baird joins Padma to pick the winner, who will get their dish turned into a Talenti gelato to be sold nationwide.
Enjoy the show!

I loved the elimination challenge this week. It meant something to see so many of the chefs moved and inspired by the chance to cook the food they did.

I agree - the show is keeping up its standards of digging into the local cuisines of the host city, and educating the viewers AND the chefs in the process.
I felt so bad for Kiki, but it was obvious who was going to be eliminated for a bland, uninspired dish. Kiki and Chris at least embraced the challenge.
My guy Shota has been in the top every week so far -- I hope he keeps it up! And I was glad Dawn took the win.
Jamie is hilarious with her sound effects, but it was good to see her back up her goofy character with a really good performance this week.

After a year of not going to my favorite big (local but over 100 miles away!) city due to the pandemic, this show means so much more to me than an average Top Chef. They are giving the local restaurants and regional foods a lot of support and exposure, which is great! And we get to take a virtual trip to this beautiful city. I like every one of these chefs and can't wait to see what is next up. I love recognizing the settings, many that I have seen in real life multiple times. I hope you all enjoy your Oregon experience!
