9/14 -- Bachelor in Paradise Episode 8

Natasha is full of it. As much as Brendan was an a** to her, let's be real. She knew full well that he wasn't into her. She even brought it up several times. He didn't make a move on her, she basically forced him to kiss her. She knew exactly what she was doing. I think she knew what the plot was going to be and this was a perfect opportunity for her to gain a ton of followers, not have to deal with a relationship, probably get a call back for BIP next year and be invited to a ton of podcasts and interviews...coming out smelling like a rose.

I guess I have been around this franchise too long and am cynical. I also noticed all the stuff about having a marketing degree to make money and gain followers was never shown coming out of their mouth. It was all voiceovers, spliced and diced. I am glad Brendan mentioned that Demi was also a waste of space on the beach since she was just putting on a show. Nice of editors to leave that bit in. I'm guessing her time on the beach is done.

Tammy is being like Demi and Natasha...playing the victim game to gain sympathy and followers.

I thought Thomas was very honest and respectful. You can't force chemistry. Accept that he is just not into you and stop making yourself look pathetic.

Oh please. What a load of crock. Natasha gets a special rose from Wells because she was so taken advantage of. Nice audition.

Poor James. He seems like a decent guy and nobody is really interested in him.

Tia goes out with the new Blake. I don't get this love of tattoos. I just think how they will look when the person gets old and the skin sags. Yuck.

Dr. Joe!!!

He asks Natasha to talk and then on a date. Everyone is rooting for them.

Serena is so cute with Joe. She wasn't like this about Matt!

Apparently he does nice things for her every night and they finally admit that they are falling in love with each other! They are adorable.

Meanwhile, Kendal is losing it as she watches. She has not moved on, but she has nobody to blame, but herself...for not being willing to compromise when they were together and for coming on BIP when she knew what would happen.

I'm losing interest in the show. I'm still watching & most likely will continue because there's nothing of any interest whatsoever on the nights it's on.
This will change as the new Fall series start within the next month, but by that time BIP will mercifully be over.

Is it because of the mediocre at best cast? I really just don't care about nearly all of them.
Is it because this season seems to be really dragged out by filler?
Is it because the show is beating us over the head with the drama couples & just won't let go?
Is it because of the lack of character development of everybody else?
Is it because of the overwhelming focus on Social Media & "followers"? I DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT! and it's ruining the show.
Is it because the women get so overly dramatic every time their interest picks someone else? My God! They just met the guy. You'd swear their marriage of 10 years & 2-3 kids was being thrown aside.

Anyhow, last night's and every episode's overly sexual PDA from Riley & Maurisa is cringeworthy. I want to see romance & affection & fun between the contestants, not what we're seeing. This isn't romantic. It's watching private stuff that should be between the two people & not public voyeurism.
The minding everybody's business but their own, is out of control this season.
The fact that Production is so obviously telling every unattached male/female who to give a rose to simply because that's who Production thinks will bring the most drama, is blatant.

I keep waiting for the fun to start, but it's just not showing up.

On the plus side, I kind of like the rotating Celebrity Hosts. They're all fun. More fun than the cast.
David Spade is by far the best one.
I like Wells having a bigger part in the show. He does a good job with the Rose Ceremonies & being an impartial sounding board for the contestants. If this is his audition for taking over Chris Harrison's role, he passed the audition with flying colors.

By the way, Kendall should just go home. She's like a big depressing wet blanket thrown on the whole thing.

I didn't mind Dr, Joe's reaction to the situation with Natasha. To me, he seemed caught off guard by the fact that Natasha had major beef with his bestie and just didn't know what to do about it, because he was interested, but having her hate one of his best friends just wasn't going to work. I suspect that the producers had really talked up Natasha and how great the two of them would get along, and he's smart enough to realize that they'd been set up and didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

^ Wasn't there something about it when Josh Murray was there? I could be wrong, just remember a big bed.

Yeah the boom boom room has always been there. The cameras inside are new and they freely talk about it now.
