Thank you! It's not that i don't like it ... but I'm not finding myself wrapped up in it and trying to find more time to watch more episodes. So maybe I'll just keep it in mind as one of those to watch a bit of from time to time and be entertained.

Question for those of you who have been watching this show ... it came highly recommended to me by a few friends recently, so over the weekend I watched the first four episodes. I didn't hate it, but also didn't find myself wondering where this had been all my life and how five seasons snuck by without me knowing how great it is. For those who are hooked - do you think the early episodes are representative of the show? Or is it one of those (like Parks and Rec) that took some time to hit it's stride, and I should stay with it because it's about to get great. I watched because of Sutton as I loved Bunheads. But I loved it from the start. I love the supporting characters in Debi Mazar (Maggie) and Miriam Shor (Diana). I loved her chemistry with Charles and her Chemistry with Josh (although I don't see them long term). I guess it depends on what type of watcher are you do you normally get into shows right off the bat or not. That's how I am if I watch something I usually know that I like it or not right away. Some people take a while to build up to most shows.

I watched it on demand and I became hooked based on the premise immediately.

I dismissed it at first because I thought, "Why would I watch a Hillary Duff/Debi Mazar centric show?" I believe that they were heavily promoted initially to get you in the door (more famous at the time), but ultimately Sutton is the star. I didn't watch Bun Heads, but I knew of her.

I'm a bunheads fan from way back and started watching because of Sutton. I'm enjoying it a lot...although I'm not liking angry, unkind Charles. Bring back a kinder Charles please.
Wish the show was an hour long. The episodes are over so quickly.

Or is it one of those (like Parks and Rec) that took some time to hit it's stride, and I should stay with it because it's about to get great. I liked the show from the beginning and thought it was at its best in the first season. It's been slowly tapering off as they've put a lot of unnecessary complications in the storyline. I still watch just because I'm committed to the show now and want to see who Liza ultimately chooses but if it had started off like it's been in this season, I don't think I would have stuck with it. I wish they had had Liza reveal her true age to everyone at the end of the first season and then come back to have her deal with the fallout from that in season 2 and prove that an older woman can still be relevant in today's business place, and have an active dating and social life.

For those who are hooked - do you think the early episodes are representative of the show? Or is it one of those (like Parks and Rec) that took some time to hit it's stride, and I should stay with it because it's about to get great. I liked it from the start so if you don't it may not be the show for you. I didn't think I was going to like the show, but I watched the 1st episode anyway. The big surprise was that I did like it from the start. But I didn't like all of the characters (e.g. Diana still annoys me, also that goofy other girlfriend of Liza and Kelsey's. I think they're kind of superficial and ridiculous.) BUT having said all that, I have to say, in answer to your question acookertv, the big difference for me came when I started to get INVESTED in the characters. I began to really care about Liza. I began to root for her and Josh (who seemed to develop a real relationship), and I also, at the same time, was rooting for a match with her and Charles (who, let's face it, is much more of an 'appropriate' mate for Liza.) And as we got to know the other regulars, I began caring about them too. Like Maggie, and Charles, and Josh. And as for the storylines, they've gotten quite a bit more layered and textured over the years, and complicated, so I think the show has changed quite a bit from the 1st few episodes over the course of the last few years. Actually it's become more of a DRAMEDY than a SIT COM, and that's a very good thing, to me. So, this is one show that's very hard to predict whether you'll grow into liking it a lot, acookertv. Maybe this analogy will help: to me, the characters started out as CARTOON characters, and now they've become REAL PEOPLE. Does that make any sense?

Diana takes sheets to her overnight date in Staten Island
Gina Gershon!
Liza's mic drop moment at the end had me cheering! "I didn't run away."

She's apologized to him six ways to Sunday and even told him she'd quit her job. There's really nothing else she can do. And he did run away, while she hung in there and got the job done and brought back the book when he couldn't. You go, Liza!

^^ Yes, I noticed the professional outfit. Totally different from Liza's typical work outfits!!

I was happy to see Liza dressed like an adult. As much as I love her, those clothes weren't right for a professional job, regardless of how old / young she was pretending to be. A 26 year old working in publishing wouldn't dress like that (and I've met quite a few of them!). Kelsey's supposed to be that age and she dresses professionally.
As much a I like Charles Michael Davis, I still don't care at ALL about Zane. They could write him out tomorrow and it wouldn't make a bit of difference in the show. Since the episodes are shorter, I'd prefer a smaller cast and I actually don't care if we see much about Kelsey's personal life. I care about Liza's life. Oh, and I'm onboard for anything with Diana. I love her.

I LOVE Diana and Enzo! There's also a deleted scene out there with Diana and Maggie where Diana is looking to buy a piece of Maggie's art, it's great!

THAT KISS!!!! *SWOON* I'm so glad Charles finally got past his hurt and anger and Liza's deception. I loved everything about this episode, aside from the silliness with Kelsey. I could take or leave that.
Only two more episodes this season At least we have those two episodes (on some shows, this could have been the season finale) AND we have next season coming!

Well crap I got spoiled! lol! I watched on demand and I thought the episode was over because "next time on Younger" came on (I thought it was a short epidsode) but O...M...G...!!! But of course Kelsey had to run her mouth to Josh He'll probably make a move on Liza and Charles will see it and just throw a wrench into everything. But yay for Charles!

That scene made me sorta mad, I love Josh.. I like him and Liza together, but I don't want him hurt given her "bubble" with Charles.
