He was doing a lot of those straight to video movies. If you look at his IMDb page he has a lot of them for the last couple of years. I remember reading an article about those type of movies and who makes (produces) them and there was talk of Bruce Willis being in them (and them promoting it heavily with his name) even if his part was not all that large. It’s an interesting read www.vulture.com/article/randall-emmett-movies.html

Wow. I guess he needed the money. That's sad. My dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and refused to give up. Was it Alzheimer's? We didn't order an autopsy to examine his brain after he passed away, so who knows? That was a decade of my life I would have preferred never to happen, nor to anyone else. My prayers to Bruce Willis and his loved ones.

It really made me angry.
I hope he is comfortable and happy and looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild.

Well, he has a young family, and young families need money.
I looked back and read after Demi had children, Bruce wanted to be the breadwinner and Demi to stay home. Her career was hot, and she continued to work, which is cited as one reason they separated and later ended their marriage.
All his daughters must be devastated.

Bruce Willis is rich as balls, so it wasn't a factor of him needing the money for his family. He can easily afford to take care of them several times over. He's an actor who genuinely loves what he does and folks took advantage of that fact. In the past, Bruce has always been careful of the projects he took on so the fact that he was taking on so many straight to video projects in recent years was NOT a good sign. I read in an article that his...decline was pretty well known in directing circles and the major studios were unable to insure him as a result. However, the straight to video people grossly overstated his abilities to their insurance companies because at one point he had someone in an earpiece feeding him lines and sometimes he would still get them wrong. Sometimes, he would get to the set and an hour later not know where he was. What was going on was really gross and I'm glad those people aren't in his circle now.

Thus proving that there are some people for whom money is the only reason to live and they'll do whatever they have to do to get it, including take advantage of a man who's got a debilitating medical diagnosis. May they burn in hell. I knew he'd done a few straight to video movies, but I didn't realize it was THAT MANY until I checked his imdb.
Bruce Willis isn't the only actor to use an ear piece. Robert Downey Jr. has famously used one for every film he's down in at least the last decade. Marlon Brando used one. IIRC, so did Sean Connery. At least in the case of RDJ, it wasn't due to dementia.

This is sad to hear. Aneurysms can take anyone at any time. My cousin's girlfriend died of one in high school and my stepfather died of one at age 65. They are a silent killer that can come out of nowhere no matter who you are or how you've lived.

One of my aunts and a supervisor at work died of them. In the case of my supervisor, she said she had a huge headache and was going home for the day, then passed out in the parking lot. She was dead before they got her to the hospital. Needless to say everyone's mood was shocked so they let us go for the day.
In the case of Tom I'm...conflicted, so it's best that I stay out of this conversation.

Full disclosure: I have an aneurysm in a cavity of my brain that a doctor found by accident. I had an MRA done to figure out the cause of another ailment when they found it. I am thankful that it was found and now I am monitored by my doctors. I have to actively make sure to chill out on getting angry and any kind of stress. Is it scary? Hell yeah.

Sorry you’re dealing with that, Amy Lee! It’s interesting to hear, from someone who knows from experience, that lifestyle can sometimes determine the impact an aneurysm might have. I didn’t know that. Thanks!

And one from me, too. If a positive story will help, my grandpa had an aneurysm that was discovered by chance, monitored and later operated on with zero complications.

He didn't show up to work at a restaurant job that he really loved. It was very unlike him to just blow it off. Someone went to check on him and he was there on the bathroom floor. His daughter was only about a year old (he was divorced). Everyone was stunned.

Stories like that help. I don't think about my diagnosis much because it's tucked away in an area, where at the moment it doesn't present any issues per my doctor, but it's still there, you know? Thank you for sharing, Ms. K. 😘

Yeah, some people live their whole lives with one and it never grows or gives them trouble, so the fact that your doctors are saying you are fine is a good sign. Another good story is the actress Emilia Clarke (Daenerys on GOT) had 2 aneurysms while doing the show that were removed safely. If they are threatening, the doctors will opt on the side of caution and rec removal.

Paps harassing Bruce Willis and trying to gage "how ill he is" need to be shot into the sun. It's deplorable. Let the man go out and have coffee with his friends in peace!
"Their intention was to ask him anything and get a better understanding of how much the disease has taken from his mind but they weren't able to get any statements from him." What in the literal... I mean, who does this? I cannot at this.

Why Being 'Gypped' Hurts The Roma More Than It Hurts You
I guess Whoopi used the word gypped on The View today and later issued an apology. Sometimes I think I fall in the 'too old to be on social media' sector because of my lack of awareness. I had NO idea this was an offensive term.

I dont think it's an issue of being old, unfortunately today there are too many so-called offensive words.

I dont think it's an issue of being old, unfortunately today there are too many so-called offensive words. They were always offensive to the groups they slurred. We just didn't know, in many cases, where the words came from or why they were hurtful. On a brighter note, that flower is gorgeous! It gives me hope that spring will come. <3
