The Model as Muse - For the first time ever in Project Runway history, the designers create looks for the same Supermodel in this one-of-a-kind challenge.*
Enjoy the show!
(* Didn't the final 4 designers all design for Iman in season 2? And what about all the looks created for Heidi over the years?)

I remember the various Heidi designs, but I guess this one was different since there was no runway show.
I did enjoy it. I don't know what the problem was with Shantall, but seeing two other people ( who should have been looking over their own product) working on Chastity's dress just irked me so I was very glad that Shantall won and the others were pretty low in the ranking.
Bones does have some really creative ideas but doesn't have the skill/talent or training to bring them to fruition- and I thought he stayed a bit longer than he should have. When the model complained about his constant direction, I knew he was a done dog.

An ALL Female FINAL Four!
I really loved the concept of this episode...how to design for a photo shoot then utilize the photo shoot. The use of one experienced uber model was special because it put their designs on an even playing field. I loved the Christian design she wore in the opening. Yes, the flowing, blowing red was the best photo.

Bones' dress was clearly the worst of the bunch--she could barely move in it--and he spent a lot of time on that huge coat he never even used. The material for the dress was beautiful, but he didn't really do anything with it, and if he hadn't mentioned the tornado concept, I would never have seen it. In fact, I didn't really see it after he mentioned it. With regard to Chastity's dress, I agree with Nina--enough with the Disney references. Chastity has been all over the place, especially lately.
I was surprised by all the love for Coral's dress and that no one mentioned that, for the third week in a row, she used a similar lace-type material. That's the kind of thing that used to garner criticism. The photo was quite good, but I think that's partially because she chose a good prop, too. To me, however, the photo of Shantal's dress was definitely the winner.
I think what Shantal did actually occurred a while ago when she said aloud that she wanted to win and that's where all her energy was going to go (or words to that effect). Some of them seemed offended that she was that blunt, but honestly, some of them have said similar things in their private interview sessions, and isn't that why all of them are there? To win?
I agree that people shouldn't be able to help each other out, especially at this stage of the competition. At this stage, are they helping people out because they want to be helpful or because they're hoping that by doing so, they'll help them squeak by a stronger competitor, get the stronger competitor out of the way, and then have an easier pathway to the win themselves?

I thought that Bones dress was giving me more Grover than tornado. He needs to listen, both Coco and Christian were telling him to focus on the dress and not the durag. This made me miss ANTM and loved seeing the pictures. I was shocked that the ladder and the fan went last. A blue bin?
I loved Coral's picture more than Shanatal's, but not mad that she didn't win, both pictures were outstanding. I felt that they were helping Chasity because she is always behind and it probably doesn't hurt that she has a warmer personality than Shantal does.
I hope they do this challenge again, it was delightful.

I absolutely loved Coco and her contribution to this episode! Christian was right when he said it would be a fitting like none they had done. She was such a contributor giving them feedback on how the dresses fit and would photograph. I also loved that she didn’t hold back in sharing her opinions with the other judges.
I have to say I really enjoyed seeing Bones growth over the course of the season. I feel the Bones who started would have faced an elimination throwing a fit and telling the judges they were wrong. He’s still got a way to go, as evidenced by Coco telling him to let the other people on the team do what they do best, and is ignoring the advice against the head piece. But he came far enough that I was kind of sorry to see him go.
I think the help thing is tricky. It probably would be more fair to say if you finish early you can leave the room. But I don’t think Chantal was snubbed for help. I think she was just hurt by where she was in the room. Being off to the side it was less natural to go to her. And she didn’t speak up when Bines asked who needed help. I understand how she felt left out, but I don’t think it was as intentional as it felt to her.

A lot of the issues from the show are discussed by Cristian and Bones on the After Show interview. Christian asks about them excluding Shantal from the group. There's also an interesting segment comparing Christian's choice of best photo for each designer with the photo the designer chose. Very interesting! www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDUChzopPjA&t=480s

I really like Bones a lot. Michael Costello has a super business now. Hopefully Bones can too.
I would like to see a four person finale.

Loved last night's episode! Coco is such a fabulous model. I know Christian just loves to use her. Shantall's dress and photo were just stunning. And Bones is just such a lovely guy...I wish him much success.

Finally got to watch. .
I think the right person went home. To much going on how did she even move in that dress. He did leave nice thought.
Will be interesting on what the final 4 come up with.
I think it is Chantel that will shine. I think the other ones are hit and miss.

I think Bones has some growing up to do...he is kind of a know it all. Did he watch and listen when they explained the challenge to him---Coco is all about the movement and pose.... so he designs a column dress in which she could not move and then tells her and the photographer exactly what they should be doing. Did his choice of prop get used at all...after all she did say that she prefers to use one.
Glad that Shantall, with her last choice, took the ladder and it was used most successfully in the photo shoot.

My eye first fell to the clock as the prop. It has such a suggestion of movement on its own and not obvious like the fan.

I thought the same thing until I watched the after show and the picture Christian would have picked showed both of them. I did like all the pictures Christian would have used better.

Yes, thanks for that link, MissGriss!! I just love Christian, and you see more of his personality on his aftershow, so I'm glad I watched. I really enjoyed seeing his choices of pictures from that shoot too.
I was not surprised that Bones was eliminated, but Chasity really shouldn't be at the end either. I didn't like her last look (hair models), nor this week's look. Bones' dress was at least pretty, Chasity's wasn't. But Bones had the model wear that stupid head piece! ugh. And there wasn't enough movement or interest, for this challenge, so that was a huge miss for him.
The model, Coco, was amazing to watch. Wow, she really was compelling, and brought so much to those outfits.
Shantall is very talented, and should win. I did feel bad for her though, that she is not fitting in with the others. Bone said her comments off camera didn't help, so I guess I can see that, but it's hard to watch because if you've ever been in that position you know how much it hurts.

Whomever is coming up with the challenges needs to get a raise because they are doing a bangup job; I loved last week's challenge as well as this week. Having one model for everyone made it an even playing field for everyone, and when it's as talented a model as Coco Rocha, $800 bucks to spend at Mood, and your pick of a prop it's even better.
Shantell: That red dress was like fire, plus her choice of the ladder turned out to be great since Coco found all sorts of things to do with it.
Kristina: This outfit was more like a "Greatest Hits" with all of the outfits she has created so far put together in a type of mishmash? I don't know. Kristina is hit or miss with me; sometimes I enjoy the crazy she brings while other times I don't. And I really hated those lime-green wide pants, plus why a recycling bin as a prop?
Bones: I enjoy Bones as a designer conceptually but like Kristina he is hit or miss. This week, he had all the good ingredients to make a cake but something in the baking process went horribly wrong. I don't know; I loved the color, and I could see where he was trying to go, but unfortunately it didn't make it there. I liked the balls and they would have been great had they been allowed to set them on fire like you're supposed to but I guess that was too much of a risk for their insurance.
Coral: She's like the little engine that could. Still doing her thing with the lace and macrame, still doing a great job. That yellow was a bold choice of color that immediately set her apart from everyone else and the fan was a nice touch.
Chasity: Girl, no. Oh no. She's suffering from the same thing that did Anna in before she left and it's a shame because both are so talented and I want Chasity to snap out of it. That dress looked like it belonged in a bordello more than an evil character in a fairy tale and lately her construction has been lacking. Love her, but she would have been my pick to go home.
To no one's surprise, Shantell wins again. Bones goes home but he is absolutely delightful to the very end, he tells everyone (many who looked weepy) to not cry, celebrate! And cracked jokes and drank wine with them and everyone was hugging him and having a great time. Even Christian got in on the fun and it was a while before he was told to clear his stuff out. Just judging by how (almost) everyone treated him he is a sweet cinnamon roll of a man who helps people when they need it and did not deserve that horrible diatribe that...person gave to him a couple of weeks ago. Like Anna, I'll be following Bones to see what he does next.

This episode will be repeated before the new show tonight. They started that last week and I do enjoy watching the show when I know how it turns out since I see things I missed the first time.
