Go For the Gusto - One tribe attempts to recover after drawing a line in the sand at tribal council; a castaway goes on a journey and must make a decision that could change their game, and one tribe stacks their way to victory, earning immunity and a fruitful reward.
Enjoy the show!

What's with Daniel? He's losing everything! Seems a little scattered to be a good lawyer. EDIT: "law clerk"

Jonathan is a beast!
I don't know who writes those "secret phrases," but they are just SO goofy.

Jonathan single handedly winning this challenge for his team.
Those waves are horrible! Wow.

So the other two teams get to skip the ladder part? Hm. I don't know how I feel about that...but it did look like they were never going to get it done.

I was worried that someone was going under! I've never seen that before, where they abandon part of a challenge. But the waves weren't getting better, so I get it.

Chanelle goes off on a "journey" then the tribe chooses one of their own to go with her - Omar! ?

Chanelle, don't risk your vote!! Oh no, they both chose RISK. They both lose their votes.
That means at Chanelle's tribe, 2 of the 6 can't vote. Looks like Jenny is in trouble.

Hai is really, really confused by the lack of votes in the box! Even after Jeff explained it, the two people admitted to not voting, he still looks completely lost. Will they go to rocks? I wouldn't.

I wouldn't want to draw rocks either.
And they have to have this conversation in front of everyone? Yikes.

This feels so scripted to me. But honestly, how embarrassing would this be for everyone to debate your life in the game in front of you.

Okay, the way I saw it was Daniel wanted to be with Jenny and Mike and Chanelle, and vote off Lydia. Right? So when it is being discussed, Chanelle gets mad at Daniel, calling him a snake, and people online are saying he's the same. I'm not sure I understand. Wasn't he just explaining why he voted for Lydia?

Daniel was telling the truth to gain Hai's confidence I guess.
I do not think Hai or Lydia will be an end gamer.

My oh my, what a TC. I could hardly keep up. Loved it though.!
I think Daniel is a bit of a snake, but I wouldn't want to go to rocks either.
Can you imagine poor Jenny sitting there while they debate your outcome.
Jonathan is a comp beast , but I like him, if a tribe wants him out they're nuts imho. I like his tribe the best as well. Good episode.

Daniel made some enemies that TC. Not smart. I am betting he won't go far in the game.

Daniel managed to get both of his alliances upset with him. Per his own words Chanelle was his number one. He BURNED her. I have never seen someone burn their game as badly as Daniel just did. On the other hand I am so glad Hai stuck to his guns and demanded Rocks. I would have done the same. It might have been a total bluff but I am so, so, so, happy with Hai and his move. Does Daniel realize Mike and Chanelle totally do not trust him now and his is in a really shaky position with Hai and Lydia. I can totally see Mike, Chanelle, Hai, and Lydia voting Daniel out, but he is also an untrusted swing vote. What the heck was Daniel thinking. mmmm.... Mike can't vote, Chanelle lost her vote this tribal or is it for all tribals? So Hai, Lydia, and Daniel have potentially total control of their tribe. Well, Hai and Lydia have total control of their tribe.

I wonder if when Daniel said out loud that he didn't want to go to rocks if that's when Hai decided he could definitely stick to his guns (rightly) assuming Daniel would cave in. It seemed like a good plan to me as soon as Daniel said that.

I was surprised the water safety people let them continue at all in the water as it looked as if rip tides were forming. I'm glad they got the two teams to shore safely.
Weirdest Tribal yet. She did tell him to vote for Lydia, but why did he hang on to that until the last minute? weird.

What was weirder from the editing it looked as if Hai saw Chantelle tell Daniel to vote for Lydia. But from conversations and confessionals in the before tribal Lydia seemed the obvious choice to go to Mike, Penny, and Chantelle.

Great episode. I am glad they ended that challenge bc it looked like that one team was starting to panic a little and that's when things get really dangerous. BUT I think Jonathan and his tribe should have gotten an extra reward for completing the challenge. Like after they chose fishing gear they still got to keep the fruit or gotten a smaller platter of fruit. I love how well Maryann pulled off saying that phrase. She did great!
And really rooting for Hai for reading the while situation correctly from realizing the splitting the vote was a sham AND the getting his way by saying he would draw rocks!
Boo for Daniel for being so dumb. He could have just said I do not want to draw rocks AND probably convinced Chanelle and Mike they don't want to either and then change his vote and keep their confidence. He says he is a #s guy. . . so explain to them that it makes sense for Hai to draw rocks, if he doesnt he loses his only ally and the odds of someone against hime going home are much greater than him going home. In the reserve unless Hai gets a rock (which is only a 25% chance) someone from their majority goes home. Come on Daniel - use logic rather than panic. Disappointed. Esp since Mike is losing his #1 anyway. . . Now Daniel has no one and never will. Which is exactly what he deserves.

Wow that tribal council was a disaster! I knew something was going to go South when the immunity challenge happened like 10 minutes into the episode. I was surprised that we got no camp life from Ika at all that was weird.
Overall I am glad production made that challenge call safety first! Vati going to tribal was exactly what I wanted because Ika and Taku have already been. I think Hai became my favorite player of the season last night I love that he put his foot down and refused to change his vote, those are the type of players I root for. I think he came out of that tribal in the best position.
I have no clue why Chanelle would tell Omar she cant lose her vote and then risk her vote, it made no sense what so ever. She really screwed Daniel but Daniel didnt make it any better either at tribal he has now lost trust with everyone and comes out looking more like the bad guy in the situation. I think he is toast if they lose again.
I hope production realizes how bad these advantages/twists are, it got to the point where production literally had to expose players games at tribal for not voting. It should never get to that point. Thats pretty bad

Thats pretty badAny long running game like MTV's The Challenge and CBS's Survivor has to incorporate new aspects to the game otherwise fans/players come into the game and know how to get an advantage and it becomes boring watching one tribe dominate and just vote out whomever is not in their alliance out week by week until they have to cannibalize each other. What I have observed is no matter how well production has practiced any new advantages, twists, new rules, the players do use them in ways the producers never predicted and at times in the first few days. In this case who could have predicted that two of 6 players would not have a vote and that the two nonvoting players were in an alliance of 4 trying to vote out one of the two that were not in their alliance ending in a tie. Even with a revote and with two nonvoting players that left two voting players in different alliances. What were the odds that this would ever happen? What I find surprising is with so many players being fans of the show they play so poorly. My vote for Daniel for worst tribal council ever.

In an interview Jenny stated that Hai was clueless and thought he was in the majority going into tribal. Also Jenny said there was not any time to talk to Chanelle after she came back from her adventure as she immediately had to go do a confessional and then they all had to walk to tribal.
