Steve ArientaAge: 40 Hometown: Parsippany, NJ Current city: Wanaque, NJ Occupation: Former undercover cop Three adjectives that describe you: Stubborn, competitive, and funny. Favorite activities: Motorcycle riding, fishing, and playing golf. What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house?Missing my family and missing work. Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most?I don't know all of them, but it would be Mike "Boogie" Malin. He made me laugh and was a strategist. Do you have a strategy for winning the game?Honestly, no. I believe that anyone that goes into the game with a set strategy is set for failure. [There is] too many twists and turns, so it's hard to create one without knowing the players involved. My life's motto is... Rock on. What would you take into the house and why?- A family picture to see my family. - My wedding ring to think about my wife. - A cell phone to call my family. Fun facts about yourself:- I ran for office for Passaic County Freeholder. - I MUST take baths at night. - I was called "The Hammer" in college. - I was my state wrestling champion in high school and also earned a football scholarship to Northwestern University. - After college, I put my muscle to use in the NYPD and became a lead in their OCID (Organized Crime Investigation Division).

Not too many more tidbits from the Ross interview that aren't in the official bio. He will be telling everyone he is a mechanic, and there has already been a cop winner and a college professor winner. He is a fan. He would rather win and be hated than lose and be loved.

If he MUST take baths at night, that might not always be possible. So he's the oldest at 40? Good going, casting.

Baths? That's not usually a guy thing. He must be hoping to win HOH every other week and planning to befriend whoever's HOH in between his bi-weekly winnings.

I don't like him. He thinks he is smarter than everyone else. I think it is hilarious that he is not getting over on them like he expected. All of his conversations are manipulative. They seem to involve him talking about what a good man he is, how normal he is compared to the others, how inferior this house makes him feel, constantly talking BS. Too much IMO, someone's gonna sniff it out.
I just never like the full-blown liar type. They have a cover story that they are sticking with and don't give you any accurate information about themselves. Maybe it is a good strategy (it worked for Derrick, whom I also hate) but it makes me dislike them greatly.

I can't stand him. I had to look him up because I was wondering about his accent. I had thought it was Staten Island or Long Island.
I wonder what kind of undercover cop he was, he's so out of shape.

So I was reading that Steve is in sequester...the Summer of Steve might not be over. With only 16 people and 99 days, there has to be a battle back. Right?

So I was reading that Steve is in sequester...the Summer of Steve might not be over. With only 16 people and 99 days, there has to be a battle back. Right? I'll be annoyed if this is true since Julie made such a big thing out of him talking about law enforcement so much, and showing him footage. My guess is that if he is in sequester, it's just until he does his media obligations today. We already know that someone in the first four weeks will come back because of the Bonus Life power. Remember - if Sam doesn't use it, the 4th person evicted gets the chance to come back in. Then I think we'll have a battle back from the jury evictees. But from the pre-jury, I don't think we'll have the Bonus Life returnee AND a battle back.
