I am watching now. It has the awkwardness of judges where I feel their personalities are forced. Esp the "tough" one. I do like the dance teams.

The drummer for Limp Biscuit, a musician, has zero rhythm. The stories get sadder and sadder. The judges are stretching for positive feedback. The host is kinda odd. Jenna Dewan should put her boobs back in her dress, there are kids here. it's gonna get harder for the kids as it goes on. I give lots of credit to the parents for putting it out there. It's just not good. Who talked O'Donnell and LL into this?

"Ditto" to everything you guys have been saying about the show. I think that the kids are, for the most part, really talented, and spending an hour watching this show is much, much better than watching all the violence and negativity that's all over tv these days. I don't have much interest in watching any more episodes though. I need to see some episodes of "So You Think You Can Dance"!!! I may be the only one still watching but I really like that team that went first( the girl dad duo with the circus theme) so when ahead and watched the 2nd episode while doing chores (since the rest of my family was a hard no to continue on with it).
I have to say it was a little bit better. They seemed to drop the whole you are the tough judge and it all seemed a little less forced. Maybe it was just so bad that I was prepared this time so more tolerable or maybe bc i was only half watching while doing other stuff. But Im going to keep watching it for now.
That dad/daughter team I really like rocked it again even though they didn't get first. I agree with the team that went home and have more to say but I think I am just talking to an empty room now.

Like that is the best you could come up with. the fan guy would be ok if he didnt overuse that fan. It should be like The handshake in The great British bake off. Worth something. If every other dance gets a fan its just obnoxious and annoying now. And now the "tough" judge isn't tough anymore? - they just completely dropped that whole character trait from her? I dont know whats weirder the fake "tough" thing or the fact that she had a fake tough thing and now she doesn't. And yes I would judge them differently too. Though the one that went 2 weeks ago . . the boy with his mom - my kids recognized him from an episode of Magic for Humans - so he must get around the entertainment scene. I haven't watched Friday's YET but I do plan to next week. Just a busy weekend. I still really like a few of the teams enough to keep following them. Maybe Ill just mute the judges going forward. |

Not only are the judges awkward but the dance off is just weird and awkward too.
Also week 1 that mom had an yet to be named disease that is "like Fibromyalgia" then in week 2 she named it and I thought it was some youth thing you outgrow but I dont know that much about neuro diseases so didn't really think much of it and maybe was confusing it with something else. But now in week 3 . . she HAS Fibromylgia. Very weird and confusing. And the whole focus on how amazing this mom is to dance despite her d(x) and too much focus on that rather than the kid or their relationship - eh. Its confusing and another thing they just managed that all weird and wrong. They are my least favorite team but IDK if its because they are actually annoying (and by they I mean the mom) or the show just botched the whole pain angle thats whats annoying and I am just confused and annoyed in general about that but either way they are my least favorite team.
Anyway . . .Limp Bizkit Drummer and his daughter are cute together and A for effort but I think we can all agree it was time for them to go.
Since I watch while Im making lunches for the day Ill probably keep watching - there are still a few teams I am really rooting for.

I ended up watching last weeks and not sure if Ill finish this season (attached to a few of the pairs so thats why Im still here) but definitely wont watch another season. Even with different judges. Unless someone tells me its really good. |
